  1. I've been playing some video games lately. If I asked myself what I would do with my time if I had $100 million, I think I would play video games all day. It's easier than working on your Life Purpose, so why not just play video games if it still gives you a sense of progress? Life Purpose gives you a sense of progress. Video games also give you a sense of progress. Life Purpose work gets you into flow states. Video games also get you into flow states. The thing is, I wasn't like this before. I used to be pretty hard working, but it all feels pointless now. The future is just in our head, so why not live in the present moment and play video games? Or am I deluding myself? So I'm wondering if this is the most fulfilling thing I can be doing, and whether it will make me the happiest I can be. Questions I have: Is this just hedonism at its finest? Or can video games be eudaimonic? They require skill and practice to be good at. Would working on my Life Purpose instead of playing video games make me a happier, more fulfilled person? There is a hidden cost to everything. What is the hidden cost of playing video games? What is the game plan to living the best life possible? As in, being the most fulfilled and happy one can be?
  2. A large part of my house got flooded a few days ago and a lot of time has been put into getting the floodwater out. Even right now, my carpet is still soaked with water, despite us renting a water vacuum (some type of tool like that). It’s a deep carpet too, so I don’t know if it’ll ever completely get out. It feels weird sleeping in my bedroom now, knowing that my carpet is soaked and that I might get mold toxicity. The humidity levels in our house is very high, because the outside humidity is 90%+. So I’ve had had 80%-90% humidity inside my house, and it doesn’t reduce at all despite me trying to use fans and keeping all the windows and doors closed. I already have health problems and I have asthma, so that makes me even more susceptible to mold exposure. I’m concerned about getting mold toxicity, and it seems like there’s a high chance I might get it. What can I do about this?
  3. Thanks @Michael569 I’ve been told it can take a very long time (months apparently) as many other houses have been affected. Is there anything else I can do?
  4. @Michael569 No. Hopefully insurance will replace it. No guarantees though. They are also very busy as the place I live in has had lots of incidents with flooding since a few days ago. We own this place. We just got a dehumidifier today, but not fully sure how it works. What room should they be placed in? And are there any particular dehumidifiers that are good? What if we can’t get out of there?
  5. (Titles have a character limit so I had to make it shorter) What are the best university degrees to major in if you plan on starting your own business with what you learn from university? I don't expect university to teach me everything I need to know when it comes to running a business online, so I'm going to be starting one while I am at university. I am considering software engineering. But I might do a bachelor of business/commerce instead. If I go with business, what should I choose? Marketing? Any advice or tips would be great, thanks.
  6. Can you treat mold toxicity without testing for it? I have heard that urine tests for mold toxicity like the GPL-MycoTox Profile can give false-negative results, so I guess that makes it pretty much useless. Please correct me if I am wrong though. Are there any risks associated with jumping into treatment for mold toxicity without knowing for sure whether you have it? I am wondering because I have been having severe brain fog, fatigue, and depression. I am not functional. So I am looking for a solution as soon as possible.
  7. @Michael569 What do you mean? How should my breathing be? I breathe through my nose, but my left one is always blocked. No, I don't experience any chest tightness. From asthma, yes. I very rarely go outside of my home for a few days or more at a time. It has been a long time since I last did that, so I don't know.
  8. @blueberries What subjects/degrees give you the most free time? This sounds like a waste of time if we are talking about starting a business. How is writing essays analyzing case studies and theories going to help me start a business? It sounds too theoretical. @Leo Gura Even what @blueberries just talked about? It sounds so theoretical and barely applicable to starting a real business.
  9. @Michael569 Overnight? Does that mean he literally went vegan for one day and it disappeared overnight? He had meat the previous day? Doesn’t it need to get out of his system first to help?
  10. @Leo Gura Are you still researching and trying to figure out a solution? Or have you given up and just accepted it?
  11. @Leo Gura How is your chronic fatigue now, Leo?
  12. @blueberries I would consider Philosophy, because it is something I do anyway, but apparently the degree is useless. Is that true? What is Economics like? Even Marketing? I guess it's only digital marketing that could be applicable to starting a business?
  13. @Yarco That makes sense. So it's not what the tool is, it's how you use the tool. I know I'm enslaved. As soon as possible. This is the exact script that I want to avoid. Thanks for the heads-up. If you don't mind me asking, what were all of the careers that you wanted to do when you were in high school? That is unfortunate. Couldn't you have dropped out at one point while you were in university?
  14. @Leo Gura Business school? Is that the same as a degree in business? Like a Bachelors of Business/Commerce? Like I said to Yarco, for some reason I have a belief that marketing is unethical. I can’t pinpoint where this belief came from. Computer science is something I am considering, but I am not sure how much of it is actually coding and programming.
  15. Thanks @Yarco for your detailed response. I don’t think it is. I’ve learned more from my own curiosity, books, and courses, than all 13 years of my schooling combined. Convince them of what? Do my parents have a role in this? Yes. A large part of why I’m going because my parents want me to go. They can’t take not going as an option. No. People want results. I don’t think qualifications are absolutely necessary to provide results, (unless you’re doing medicine, law, etc). What do you think? Yes. Okay. For some reason I have a belief that marketing is unethical. I can’t pinpoint where this belief came from. What do you think? I can’t know that yet because I haven’t experienced it. I don’t know what it’s like. Ideally, this is how I would’ve done it. I just don’t want to severe my relationship with my parents. In our (Asian) culture it’s kind of a huge thing to not go to university, and my parents have a social image to maintain. I don’t care about that social image though, because frankly, I don’t want to enslave my life to what my parents, parents’ friends, and extended relatives want. I will be completely free at some point in my life, I am just not there yet. I’m working towards it.
  16. My functional medicine doctor has recommended that I either take Whey Protein or Marine Collagen to increase my protein intake. I am lactose intolerant, and Whey Protein Isolate is lactose free + gluten free, but contains dairy (milk). Is it still okay to take it? Or should I just have Marine Collagen instead?
  17. @Jannes Thanks. So it seems like meat is the only option I have here.
  18. @martins name How do you connect more with this 'healing power of love'? That makes sense. So spiritual bypassing has nothing to do with how you prioritize or what your priorities are, right? You could just ignore your lower needs and shoot straight for Enlightenment. But that is quite rare and not recommended, right?
  19. @Michael569 Mucus always comes out of my nose. I have to blow my nose every time I wake up and every 30 minutes. My eyes are watery, probably from the inflammation around my nose. Unless what you meant was my smell and sight will tell me more. That is true. It might not have anything to do with mold, but the only way I can tell is by experimenting with it and trying to treat it right? That's what you mean by exhaust it, right?
  20. @Bridge to Infinity How are you doing now?
  21. @Leo Gura This sounds cool. How did you get to this point? What were the actions you took to get to this point?
  22. @martins name If you are ignoring your lower needs to devote all of your time and energy to doing consciousness work (e.g. meditation, yoga, self-inquiry, etc), isn't this spiritual bypassing?
  23. @Leo Gura What's wrong with Whey Protein? I've been considering getting Whey Protein Isolate.
  24. @thepixelmonk Why would it lead nowhere? If you're going to die eventually, doesn't that mean you should make the most of your life?
  25. @Thought Art What makes you think you are already a doomed wage slave? And even if you were already a doomed wage slave, why would you not do any of this work?
