  1. Brilliant take. I replayed it this year and was struck by how rich in atmosphere that game is. I prefer the "lore" of DS1 but there is an existential layer to the themes explored in 2 that really resonated with me. The rejection/fear of death is a concurrent theme in the series but 2's depiction of this is the most nuanced and interesting. Powerful piece of art. Not quite the best from the gameplay perspective but still solid

  3. @Leo Gura I saw that the other day when I went to re-watch it. Shockingly bad, the original was great!

  5. I met Mads at Tokyo Comic Con he is an awesome down to earth, humble guy and super insightful. Brilliant actor.
  6. Seen it 3 or 4 times gets better each time. So much to chew on it is deliciously well made and super profound.

  9. @Leo Gura I'm travelling Japan for a few months and the conformist behaviour here is off the charts it's actually fascinating to see how attached most of the population is to stage blue but equally as interesting to meet more individually minded Japanese people who "conform" to the American stage orange type of mindset.

  12. The legal age of consent is 16 in the UK also you have got to have some pretty bizarre genetic makeup to have not reached puberty by 18.

  16. Fr. Even that new Donkey Kong this year game is unbelievably well made. Not my thing, but it cannot be denied how exceptionally designed that game is.
  17. My YouTube channel which (mainly) focuses on extremely deep/mystical/horrifying/beautiful trip reports that are sent to me by psychonauts across the world. This is only my life purpose for now though, I think I will branch out into voice acting in the future as that is what I always dreamed of doing as a child. Me and my friend are also working on a psychedelic inspired visual novel so will see where that goes as well. But for now, my YouTube channel is my pride and joy, it's not the best it could be but it saved me from a life of destructive nihilism and opened up countless opportunities so I will always deeply appreciate what I did with it in this era of my life. Funnily enough, I started a YouTube channel in 2009 and consistently experimented with different content for 13 years until it became financially "successful" and allowed me to quit my menial job. Goes to show how passion and dedication over time pays dividends. I am riddled with ADHD so this was an exceptional achievement for my chaotic psyche.
  18. One of my all-time favourites. Such a timeless series!
