There is a lot of comforts in religion, that go against the rigor of wanting to understand reality. So someone religious instead of facing an issue head on and think strategically to overcome it, he or she would go to prayer instead so that it can be fixed on its own. A lot of religious people even if they come from esoteric backgrounds that uses meditation techniques and spiritual practices, they rely on a lot of assumptions, which makes their practice more corrupt and comfortable. -
Is it more developed? I mean it is quite factual in some places in the world that the west does not respect the sovereignty of other countries, forcing their values on them, bombing them, and tricking them into shitty economic deals that are disastrous on the long run. So it is strange to me that the infrastructure that allowed high levels of development in SD is based on bombing, corruption and fine words. Note: I do think that the west more developed i just dont know how this is the case. In my head there is the idea that consciousness is fair, this does not seem fair to me. I didn’t live in a western country, and i was born into the biases of a third world country. A country that serves as a puppet for the west. maybe it is an issue of intensity of corruption?

Yes this and add to it that this work needs to be grounded in an understanding of how society works, in order to be successful and grounded in something real rather than personal fantasies. -

Meaning is illusory within myself, and within other people, also structures are meaningless such as atoms, molecules and so on... After deconstructing these what remains? -

I have a fear that I want to step into, although I am not sure how to do it safely. I fear society, how it is built, I fear to see the truth in how it works. I have fantasies on who I can be, if i spread my wings, but knowing society will show me my place in terms of my capacity to survive in this world. I am afraid to know what will the answer be. -

Meaning is generated from a limited perspective, it is a suppression of cognition and a lack of understanding. When the boundary between the perceiver and the perceived is blurred, meaning disappears. -

@Someone hereI think I am in a similar place. However, You can become aware of the demands of life (job, bills, socializing, side project...) as a part of how reality works. I have been realizing recently that 200 hours of meditation will might teach me how to get money a little bit, but trying to open a business will do that in 2 hours. There is something deeply delusional about the previous view. -

Your willingness to let go of your deeply held beliefs, will create an atmosphere for a journey of exploration, sometime this will inspire him to do the same thing. How come you are so sure? -

I see it as something quantitative more than qualitative which is weird. It is also created by a limited perspective. Sometimes when I become aware of certain emotions the meaning disappears. -

Meaning is meaningless, is the case only if one does not exist, which seems to be the case. -

Meaning is a creation that you create. How do you assume that there is no objective meaning to things? -

What is high vibration and low vibration? is untangling yourself sufficient to help others? -
saif2 replied to PurpleTree's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@PurpleTree It has to do with understanding. Why would you want less meaning? -
I am thinking about doing the same thing. I think you need to be careful not to become intellectually lazy after being blown away by the wisdom blue has to offer and become like a sheep. And you need to be open minded enough to receive the wisdom blue has to offer. So stay vigilant!

@Santiago Ram What makes knowing difficult is all the other stages are present in a person, and the same phenomenon can be seen from one angle as a stage and from another angle as a different stage. I think the difficulty is in seeing large portions of yourself, not isolated phenomenon. Green is able to take different perspectives without being able to bring them together, while yellow is able to notice patterns between the different perspectives and is able to start bringing them together. As it was mentioned it is important to integrate the previous stages not to repress them or cling on to them, this is where the growth happens. Man spiral Dynamics is such a weird model.

Spiralformation : A piece of information that you need to grow into higher levels of development in spiral dynamics, otherwise you dont. It means a piece of information that you take in and expands your world view more in a way that meditation cannot. It does not mean pieces of information that makes you just more meditative. It does not mean a piece of information that does not do any change because it fits nicely in your current world view. Example: A conservative is preoccupied with his group planning to get new equipment for their department, because the other department was jealous about this possibility and the attention received from the manger. Spiralformation: How about you do a feasibility study to assess the pros and cons of it. Then the conservative takes it, understands it and utilizes it. (This grows his world view from blue to orange or from premodern to modern, from group centered identity to rationality and competency)

@Puer Aeternus I agree with most of what you said. It is obvious that politicians tend to be more corrupt than your average joe. but the question is more specific, how is it fair? Ignoring something is not a very conscious act it is the opposite of that. I do get the impression that to move up to anhigher stage in SD, one needs more information. No? How can it be otherwise, can one become green if he does not expose himself to different cultures? So the question is why do these infrastructures enable conscious progress. I can find two reasons for that: 1. Reality is perspectival, if you dont know something and your nit ignoring it then it does not exist so one can grow. 2. It is all meaningless, which is ultimate fairness, so if a country decides to bomb another country it is not corrupt it is just the dream.

where does corruption comes in? If it is not from morality then it is from the lack of understanding. Strange perspective and liberating.

I do understand your perspective. However it is important to look at what is going on, to deepen your grasp of the world around you. for instance I am thinking that what happened in Gaza directly relates to the war on iran. Somehow it enabled it. The conflict seems to only keep growing, so it might reach your way. The study of politics gives you predictive power. For instance looking into whats happening in Gaza informs you about what is possible in the potential field that is reality.

The situation makes me so sad, it feels like the region which i currently live in, is sinking in a shit hole and that there is no way out. politics is the dirtiest game I know. It is cave man behavior masquerading as civilized talk. USA bombing the nuclear facilities in Iran is a huge step towards world war.

@jimwell I agree with you, and there is also another variable, the space within in which you listen to music. If you listen to it intently with mindfulness the result can be very different. certain types of music i think are high vibration, you need to listen mindfully to feel the energy, its quite amazing. Here are some examples of what i think is high vibration music:

Yes, it might be a desire to control others, but I don't think it has to do with race. The west seems to me largely at the modernist stage of development. I am thinking that at this stage there is little reflection on societal norms and constructs, so they become absolute, so when they see a country like Iran they are appalled by it and they don't understand it, so out of this misunderstanding, demonization happens and the rest follows. This explains why western countries are serious supporters of Israel, they can relate to their views of reality.

I think it would be useful to talk about these disorders and their treatment from a personal and spiritual development standpoint. Question Do you think these disorders manifest from core psychological and spiritual issues that one can become conscious of and work through, Or are they more elusive coming from genetics and imbalances in brain chemistry? (This question is for those of you who suffer from mental health issues and for psychiatrists who have experience in dealing with this type of psychological manifestations.) My Background and the Issue that I am facing The issue that I am facing is that I am on an anti-psychotic medication and I suspect that it acts as a suppressant to reality and consciousness. I have been stable for the past two and a half years, and the last lack of stability came from traumatic events that I had and myself trying to work through those traumatic events. The driving force I think behind my mental breakdown 5 years ago or so came from a specific trauma that I was struggling with, and that I think that through the course of time I have worked through a great deal. However this goes against the talk of most psychiatrists that I met mentioning that this is a chronic disorder and it is currently dormant and under control. The psychiatrist community seem to have biases and most psychiatrists I dealt with are lacking in understanding of the human potential, and I cannot find a psychiatrist who does understand human potential. I am hoping for a discussion to share experiences, insights and resources about these issues

@Breakingthewall How do you free people from their oppressive governments? The united states does not do that well. Iraq for instance was sent back a hundred years after the west intervened in their affairs. Oppressed women in the middle east, for the most part do not know an alternative life style, any positive change can be brought about gently bit by bit, not by bombing the shit out of oppressive regimes, this move is oppressive in itself.
