Thank you, this is how i think about it too, i would also like Leo's input though. In my mind it is not a lie that if i make some money will ultimately help to create some value to the world. After all if i make any money, it will come from filthy rich people that waste so much for stupid shit like NFT. I will probably just waste some time. I will just put some things there for sale and forget about it.

It doesn't work like this.. The new earth is the really life changing book... Both books can be extremely boring. You don't read them to learn something necessarily, you just be while reading them. A new earth completely exposes the mechanisms of your ego. What was extremely powerful for me when i couldn't really take it anymore was to read the power of now from start to finish and then immediately after the new earth from start to finish. You do all of this while you are being. Just do it and you will see a change happening if you are ready and had enough at least. But you see noone does this. Try reading both of them from start to finish. In the worst case you wasted your time and i am the one to blame. In the best case you've found a way out of you and your suffering.

If it tastes like shit then it probably is. They could also add other things inside that make you even more addicted and you have no idea what you are smoking. Either find good quality that tends to be more expensive or don't smoke at all.

I'm sorry for reviving the thread but i really want to understand this. There is this NFT trend right now. What i learned so far is to not let opportunities go to waste. I had the idea with a close digital artist friend to make some NFTs work as a team and try to sell them. I don't know much about this but i'm about to start doing some research. You said that crypto is not bad but my mindset is. My mindset right now is to not lose a good opportunity if there is one to make some money. I do want to create value to the world and that's what i am going to do but the fact is that i could really use the money. We do hope to earn some quick money this is true. Is this wrong? Should i not do it at all or not even act to make some profit from trends like this? If this action is not the problem but my mindset is then what should my mindset be while doing it?

Cool, thanks.

No it's not... Of course accepting what is is very important but why not make things better? What if you are sick and want to be healthy? Shouldn't you work on your health? What if your life sucks? Isn't it wise to take action to make it better? If you just want to be famous or become a billioner for example just to boost your ego then no that is not necessary you just fool yourself that this is what you want. Accepting what is but also enjoy being a creator rather than an achiever is a better mindset. -

Damn i never looked at this thread. Good stuff -
Not doing the actions that i know are the right ones because of resistance and emotions that stop me before i start.

A new earth is the best guide i've found to apply this practically. You always can in the present moment no matter how bad it is. You just look everything from above and remember that you are not it. Everytime you do this you become more aware and you use the suffering as a fuel to burn to become more aware. There is only the now. When you finally choose to not live in the past or the future there is no you anymore no suffering and no problems.

Just skip the power of now... Maybe it won't be as helpful. But really read the new earth from start to finish. The chapter about the pain body will be the most helpful. At least in my case this book helped me alot. Look i don't claim to understand mental illness but i had my fair share of bad situations in my life. I really believe that this book can help everyone. Also try to workout, eat good and sleep good. I know that it might seem that you can't just snap out of it but this is also possible even if what i just wrote sounds ignorant and stupid. If your environment sucks consider going to a new one if possible. That could mean moving to a new house or city or country, or making new friends etc. "This too shall pass", you can be free of this soon, or rather right now. Another thing that could help is to practice gratitude but all day long science of getting rich style. Just appreciate everything you can at every moment. This works surprisingly well to keep negativity in check and make you feel happy. This is not new age bs this could be a powerful practice that completely transforms your thoughts and emotions. What i found works best is to practice all the time. I don't do it but i did it in the past, i only do it when i'm really serious about something. You don't keep a gratitude journal and you write for 10' the things you are grateful. This won't do anything. You are grateful each moment the whole day. You don't feel the inner body for 15' everyday.. You do it always now, you are aware now you are either present or you are not, there is always this choice in each moment and once you really see that there is only this moment all the problems are not problems anymore. That sounds cliché maybe but also a very powerful thing to realize and a solution to all problems. By that i mean the solution to suffering from the problem our mind creates. You still need to take actions to change things. There is inner body awareness , self inquiry, breathing, focusing on your senses etc. You just choose every moment how to be present. I hope this helps a bit. Now i'm going to follow my own advice Wish you the best

Hey i'm sorry to hear that you are not feeling great. I don't want to give harmful advice but if i were you i wouldn't put these things in my body or at least try to get off of them fast. Face the emotions head on. If you are able to change your environment it is possible that everything will go away. I'm talking from experience and not out of my ass. I changed country and my heavy mental issues disappeared eventually. Also when i was facing extreme anxiety and i really mean extreme, 30' minutes of mindfullness meditation with labeling everyday is what kept me sane and able to deal with everything. My home environment was unbearable when i was a teen for years. At some point i was at my limit. I read the power of now and after that a new earth from Eckhart Tolle. Almost everyone underestimates how powerful the new earth is. If you really had enough, reading this book and applying it will lead exactly to the place you want to be... To unconditional peace and acceptance of all circumstances. It can only happen now and not in 10 years or whatever. Give them a read even if you don't like him or hate his books or have your own beliefs that contradict what he says or judge him in some way. Be open minded about this. I hope this is helpful in some way. I only shared what helped me when my life was shit. I hope you can see that i tried to be honest and share what the solution is from my pov. If the style of my answer is perceived as weird sorry about that. It's because i have my own issues to deal with and has nothing to do with you.

Make sure you sleep enough. Also don't fall in the trap of drinking 5 cups of coffee everyday. You can't really avoid annoying people at work unless you are very lucky. If you find your job mundane find ways to make it fun. For example try to find ways to get more done with less effort. Focus in whatever you do fully like a meditation. -

It seems that everyone likes it. I must say though that it was a complete waste of time. I'm not willing to have a flashlight in front of my eyes for 15 minutes more than once. Kind of reminds me a program i downloaded idk maybe 15 years ago with sound drugs. You could choose the drug and then hear a sound and supposedly you had the effects. -
@jerrypua nah. Not going to lose anything. Even if i do it's not something that will make me worry. I'm not looking for instant gratification. If i can get rich quick somehow then i will. That doesn't mean i will be chasing get rich quick schemes.

@Average Investor good suggestions thanks. It's a little hard to find a job that relates to this though.. @LfcCharlie4 i agree... In a sense i asked the wrong question but got the right answers. I will work on my mindset and routines. You know all these years i keep banging my head against the wall for not investing even this amount of money in crypto. I first heard about bitcoin in 2009. I also heard about ethereum when it was cheap. I also knew about cardano when it was cheap. I didn't act on it. If a coin costs 0.001$ let's say and i invest 200$ in it and goes to 1$ then i made 200k. Even if taxes take half of it i have enough to feel more free. Of course this is hopeful thinking, i don't know what i am talking about, i understand it' s like a gamble but less so the more you know what you are doing and do your own research. I will be focusing primarily on starting a business even if i have no idea how to do that. I will try to understand crypto in the hopes of making me some side income and not making me rich as this is probably unlikely to happen with small investments.
-
Fuck.. It really is my mindset at fault. If i somehow managed to get rich and then suddenly lose all of my money i would do it again. It's as simple as that. Thank you Leo this information was enough to get me started. @LfcCharlie4 thank you for your answer. I plan on taking some udemy courses to understand the basics and then watch some quality youtubers. I've put 200 in there and i plan to put 50-100 euros per month or just an amount that i don't care too much about losing. Maybe i could also brainstorm business ideas or products everyday as a habit. For sure some books are where i should start to get my mindset in place.

Get a good foundation for a start. That means health in my opinion. Diet, fitness, sleep and removing addictions. I'm still in this stage. Then get the booklist and start reading! (and applying)
-
Yeah. I will change my mindset and do both. I don't need to go full on crypto but i can learn some basics to not lose an opportunity.

Self image is a subcategory of ego. Ego is not just the self image but at the same time cannot exist without believing a self image. Ego is also defending the self image like survival and this creates all of its mechanisms.

I was drinking coffee for many years everyday and the last years i was drinking multiple cups especially while working. I replaced coffee 2 months ago with tea and i feel a lot better. Sometimes i drink a cup of coffee when i meet with friends but never more than that.
-
Thank you. I do understand that my mindset is not the right one. The reason i started this thread was to get some help to look at it differently. So how do i actually reverse my mindset for good? Are the books from the booklist enough to change it? I already have everything i need. A good pc and enough learning material. The thing i don't have is good enough discipline. I really want to change this. I want to enjoy mastering the skills i need to create something. I don't want to keep thinking that i need to make money from this. This is a little hard when i feel that i am trapped in an environment that i can't get out of without enough money and no guarantee to 'make it' someday. @Matt23 Thank you. I am still looking for a way to enjoy the ride @Hello from Russia i don't, at least right now. I'm just saying that i probably would by now if i wasn't poor. This is the way i work. Otherwise it would be unbearable.
