  1. "You can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future"- Steve Jobs What an insane quote. What has happened in the past, your traumas , decisions and good interpretations have contributed to your being and personality to this date. @Zigzag Idiot Thank you brother. I will consume this book. It feels extremely right for me in this time and I will try it out
  2. Its true We are asleep And DEEPLY unconscious of it
  3. @Leo Gura did TF reply?
  4. LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ? ? these statistics aren't a roll of the die kind of thing. 40% of americans are obese. does that mean you have a 40% chance of getting obesity? you have influence over your weight, and in most cases you can find someone like you who has lost weight and can tell you what they did and if you want to say false equivalency, i would like to say this: i've seen many people around me make lots of money and they have showed me that it isn't as big of a deal as people make it out to be and if you would like to say analogy, i would like to say: analogies are awesome. they show you things that the mainstream doesn't
  5. go to epistemology section of leo's book list and look at #8 it's a nice look at science decently objectively
  6. i read that darwin had trouble getting scientific support
  7. kind, understanding (empathetic), makes an effort to understand me, fun, good communication skills, pretty & cute, open-minded to sex and adventure, does personal development, and has a good + fun social life why do you want to know though? my understanding is that this is subjective to the person (time period in their life, personality type, development)
  8. @Forestluv where can I find materials and methods thing you're talking about? For running experiments
  9. well do note that science is still new on many topics like there was little scientific rigor on many things that are now "scientifically sound" before it was brought to the mainstream scientific consensus meditation, wim hof method, field of nutrition, acupuncture, the paranormal and psychedelics being some examples enlightenment and existential truths are extremely misunderstood by science and isn't anywhere close to that scientific rigor that being said - i've also thought the same and have had similar thoughts about spiral dynamic's validity but since i am passionate about the topic i am interested in testing it on my life and in the world eventually but should we take the models that science gives us as scientifically sound on pure blind faith? we would still need to find the limits of such models and its place in the overall structure of the psyche. otherwise we won't know - and it will be blind faith. which is fine i guess but it has its limits to growth and your potential but also - there are many models within science that have met scientific rigor but are poor/poorly used. over prescription of pharmaceutical drugs, CBT being the gold standard cure being 2 examples this is a super good question i would love to hear your thoughts - i do resonate with your question though because i don't want to go around blindly believing the model but i think it should/would go either way, science or not? how can i know for sure the quality of a model that is given to me by science? the mainstream science is not interested in self-actualization as of yet i do think you are being influenced by your friends who do have a certain perspective of science... as do I science is all about faith. faith in the system, in the scientists that conduct the system, in the scientists that peer review things, in the people who say what's good/bad, right/wrong, faith in the scientific consensus
  10. "in order to change something you have to understand how it works" - Dr.K this is an interesting one - it seems as though all of my quotes here are very self-acutalization-y. my mind wants this but isn't taking action towards it
  11. "The essence of conversation is not what we say but how we listen" Listening is so important! The other person being seen, understood and heard leads to them being very happy and needs met!!! And makes you happy because you've been able to meet them It builds connection and intimacy and trust! ----- "You must love in such a way that the other person feels free"- thich nhat hanh Yes! This one is great because when we are free we can do whatever we want without worrying about the other persons approval. We are seen and accepted and heard We are able to be ourselves and do what we need to And the relationship will have a foundation of love which is a great foundation for growth! Otherwise you are only giving conditional love where you are loving only certain aspexts of them. Meaning they are free to be themselves which is truly an amazing place to be. Lots of love and connection. Also great for parent-child because now the kid will have the freedom to be himself and do what he wants
  12. ooo interesting comparison i do have moments where i am with someone i am connected with and my life is just so much more powerful and better with them
  13. i think there are certain places where yellow/green hangs out more eben pagan found his girl at burning man. they're super on the same page apparently. both are yellow i think you just haven't explored the world enough maybe? there are tons of people at your desired consciousness
  14. @Eren Eeager ik some entrepreneurs hate it because it attacks their very being, them as a person. but really socialistic policies is about more equality and love for all which is contrary to the entrepreneurs MO because their values have to change. and values changing is literally like parts of yourself and life needing to change, which is a huge shift and evolution which is scary and challenging and the ego doesn't want it which i can understand because even for me in my own bubble it is difficult for my own values to change, i want to stay and hold onto the past and the way i'm doing things but eventually i have to look up and see that my way of being is not the best way of being
  15. well wisdom is relative, I am unable to listen to my parents because they have a self bias in mind to secure my future Of course, its all love at the end of the day, but their advice is very unoptimal and based in fear, instead of being optimal It takes time to develop these distinctions but in time you will I own someconfidence in some of my friends in their business wisdom becuase they are experienced in that area, but since my world view is severely informed by spiral dynamics, I know they have incomplete perspectives that doesnt involve the full range of the spiral
  16. Yeah exactly and this is what the average liberal is fight for. Nordic policies, not Stalin era Healthcare for all people will not take us to a Stalin era You brought the USSR as an example of green but it means you don't have a strong understanding of green
  17. Then which stage would you say your politics is on? Spiraldynamicsintegral.nl
  18. USSR was red/blue. Modern day nordic countries are green (this is the socialism that people are asking/referring to) It may be helpful to recognize and learn the distinctions between between the development of people and government of these two countries Green would never want 60 million dead. Green would want world peace✌ ☮ Your ideology is stuck in blue, this is an objective fact not judgement
  19. i mean im all for questioning collective group think, even within this forum, i think that's super healthy but i encourage you to relook at your political philosophy i'm curious in your statistic where you are predicting germany will turn into a country of Islam though also when you noted that Trump wasn't racist, i'm curious as to your thoughts on trump's comments? how did you perceive them? i'm regarding this article in particular https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2019/06/trump-racism-comments/588067/ and when you noted that the republican parties are fighting to include LGBTQ rights, did you mean the people/states in the bible belt? the people that live by the bible and who believe homosexuality is a sin because it says so in the bible (who are majority republican)? this post just seems like youve been caught into a right wing echo chamber
  20. that's inspiring i didn't know you could do that
  21. @Rasheed may i suggest this? https://www.youtube.com/user/LilTravelBum though his content is not as extensive as RSD, there is lots of valuable wisdom in this. he once said the perfect client would be someone who through a regular PuA school and needs something more authentic, and deeper - not based in manipulation and grounded in yourself it's a very high conscious approach to dating (from my current PoV), he calls it non-dual teachings applied to dating but yeah don't let me bias your view, just check for yourself and see how you like it he has a lot of clickbait btw, with the hot girls and titles, but his videos are usually deeper also this channel has a lot of practical information. covers deep healing, inner child work, relating authentically:
  22. human idk if preaching it automatically makes you more likely to do it but things you judge and condemn, are parts of your own psyche that you haven't owned [which shadow work helps uncover and integrate] a lot of times when people are preaching, they're judging and condemning sometimes you may be just letting someone know (out of love), or be trying to spread awareness (out of love). this obv wouldn't be projection i think if it comes from love and understanding, it wouldn't be a projection (just a side note) edit: i just read "doing it secretly so" - yeah this would be a projection what you've denied in yourself, comes often as a projection which often comes in the form of teaching/preaching/condemning. if there's a judgement that comes in the form of shame, attached to it, i want to be bold to say, it's a projection. projections can be helpful, whenever i catch myself teaching or preaching, i immediately go, ahhh there's my lesson. there's tons of books on this phenomena. if you look for something in shadow work you will deal with this there's also something where when you strictly identify with a label, perhaps as good, smart, helpful, ambitious etc. the opposite can be your shadow. so if you say "i'm a good person", you sometimes have a shadow where you are the opposite. it's cool stuff - i first learned this stuff from leo, he has very good knowledge on this subject i think. but i did my own self study and reading after this. this is one of my favorite topics Gary vee has some good examples of what im saying here if ur familiar - like when Gary vee tells people you shouldn't care what people think and then one of his core motivation for business he says is to prove people wrong Also gary vee preaches empathy, but in a lot of his helpings you can see he doesn't empathize and just gives advice These come in the form of judgements/moralizing
