  1. What if awareness is just a flat sheet of paper with some random sketches of different colors here and there ?
  2. Why are we able to experience just one story out of infinite stories?
  3. In absolute sense, is one story written or all the stories written?
  4. 'Who' made you say thank you ? It's you! ( 'you' which is perfectly fooled by randomness, the very principle of everything, including life )
  5. In a scientific perspective, yes! Animals with smaller brains generally perceive time slowly.
  6. The brain? ( Clue : Different animals perceive time differently)
  7. What makes human unique seems to be to be able to go in cycles from dual to non dual states and remember both of them consciously. Some animals might also be able to do that, but only they can answer! ( Unless we discover some device to check if we are in dual or non dual state, of course! )
  8. What do you mean?, my stupid mind not able to get it. Illusions are happening here as well?
  9. ?? Yeah, he has a separate chapter for it, enjoy!
  10. I think it's because when we are in experiential state, our conscious mind is shut off. Once the experience is over, our analytical mind comes back into play. We must understand that the analytical mind is unique to each individual unlike the consciousness. It's trying to comprehend what had happened and creates stories around it to make it as real and logical as possible. The stories are different but real for each people even though the experience is same. Just because we had the experience, our analytical mind fools itself thinking that whatever we had experienced must be true since we have directly experienced it. ( That itself arises from the fact of conditioning of the mind, we tend to easily believe in something we have direct experience in individual's perspective like what we see, hear etc.) So, enlightened people come here to share experiences laden with stories created by our analytical mind, which has taken place unconsciously. The truth can never be found, but we can get as close as to the truth as possible, which is what we are trying to do in these kinds of forums.
  11. I think he is telling that you are the guy who talks in circles. I don't know if it's true or not.
  12. Rules responsible for things like you don't fly when you jump. Science is something trying to figure out what the rules are. The rules are not individual made, they exist just like we exist. A finite world needs rules to exist. Otherwise it will be just emptyness. We cannot change the rules but we can play within the rules. Evolution is something within the rules.
  13. Does the pineal gland release DMT ? I have heard it releases traces of it but they are not strong enough to induce hallucinations.
  14. The rules don't permit us to do so. Conscious will to choose the world will result in absolute chaos, atleast at this level of evolution. Rules allow the game to exist. Why the game exists, nobody knows or not able to understand.
  15. This is a mystery yet to be solved. Evolution may or may not have an answer to it, that's why all kinds of theories as well as spirituality is happening. Also, God doesn't need any time to waste, since time is also a tool for perception. God lets everything happen, including waste and non waste and both, exploring all possibilities in a structured world.
  16. I just managed to read the whole book. If you are interested in things like karma, ghosts, rituals centered around death, when Sadhguru is going to attain mahasamadhi, how her wife died, reincarnation etc. , this one is the best for you.
  17. I like the way you guys in this forum play with the language. English not being my mother tongue, it really is a challenge to decipher what you people exactly are trying to say. Once I decode the meaning and believe I had finally mastered the language, you guys post another message giving an opposite meaning of what I interpreted. Poor me ?
  18. Evolution is simply random and favours genes of survivors. ( Simply because only survivors are able to pass their genes to their children since they have more time to mate ). But, now we have reached a state where we no longer need to worry much about survival like other animals. This allows both the strong and weak to survive, and so I think we will be evolving in different funny random ways in the next 100000 years. When it comes to weapons, they may not favour creation now, but they will be really helpful in protecting all creations, during unpredicted events like am asteroid impact our alien invasion.
  19. What if an asteroid falls on earth and we again become dinosaurs ?
  20. I think Kindle edition is available for international customers. If not, you can always download it from torrent sites. To make Sadhguru happier, you can pay for it when it is available and gift it to a person whom you think will never read the book in his lifetime. P.s: I myself have the book, but only read the first few pages!
  21. I would suggest using breath to avoid dozing off instead of using caffeine. Just take a few very deep breaths and while doing so, observe how the whole body moves. That will be enough to keep you awake, although not active. Caffeine is not good for the body as well as the mind, especially the one trying to meditate.
  22. Literally, I don't know if drunk people can keep social distancing or not, but guys in my locality can't maintain social distancing even before getting drunk
  23. Yeah, I bet even after 100 years, we will be finding these same kind of discussions, with some added sci fi stuff.
