Yes, nothing can be proved in the absolute sense by science. Direct experience is a better way than science to have faith in something because illusions and assumptions don't exist when it comes to direct experience. ( which can also be a belief ). In the end, it's the human mind making all sorts of interpretations on these things which can only relatively bring us closer to the truth. That's a far better feeling than knowing nothing at all. But that doesn't mean we need to believe whatever we see, whatever we hear, read etc. , that's the most dangerous thing, atleast comparatively. Religions are a good example for blind faith. -

@WellbeingSeeker No, it wasn't realistic at all. I can easily fake what he had done myself. I believe he wasn't able to keep his secret and wanted to badly share with somebody and told me the truth. But after that he realised his mistake and didn't offer any further explanation. What I assume is that the priests have paid him to make people fear God. -

I had personally asked a guy who was trembling because of God entering him. He confessed that it was all set up. Truth and lies are so mixed up nowadays such that it's impossible to distinguish between them. Either direct experience or some scientific proof might help. One thing that I can vouch for is that blind faith is the most dangerous thing in the world. -

If that's the case, I will enjoy the dream as much as I can. ( and exit it when I feel the experience is enough) -

If I am a human being, I have to navigate in a three dimension dimensional space and experience time as well. -
This happened to me all the time when I was trying to crack very difficult questions in a competitive exam. The second best thing to do is to relax your body by some visualisation techniques, try to figure out different ways to solve the problem and try with the new ones. But the best thing to do is simply to ignore the problem and go on to other solvable problems. Accept the limitations of your mind and be happy that you are able to come to this level atleast. Understand that the world will always have unsolvable problems and an individual being cannot solve all of that, even if you have an Einstein's brain. Contribute what you are capable of and enjoy the rewards.

Nice explanation, thanks for taking your time to explain! ? -
For people who have experienced nothingness, how was time felt during the experience? Was it relatively faster / slower / infinite or something else ?

The concept of time can be imaginary, but what about motion? Isn't time just a tool used by mind to experience motion? And why is motion only towards a particular direction and not the opposite way? -

Having the concept of death maybe a good thing after all, atleast till the body lasts. -

Can you try to elaborate? @fridjonk @Gesundheit Then, why do some people say that the experience lasted only for sometime and the experience lasted way longer? How do they describe the experience relatively if there is no experience of time? @Javfly33 -

After death - After death of my ego, memories, body, personality etc. The things that give an identity. If you say that I would still remember my past lives after I am dead, then I will accept that there is nothing called death. have awareness - opposite to being in a blank state, similar to sleep @WaveInTheOcean It's interesting that you noted sleep is an illusion,How do you say that? If I am not able to be aware during sleep, how does it make it an illusion? -
An young being replied to NorthNow's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
How anybody can confirm this, as long as they are alive? That's where near death experiences may show some light. -

@Judi can you try to explain in detail about your Nde? Also, I am happy that we are left only with two possibilities ( I hope ) 1. After death, nothing is there not even awareness. 2. After death, we have an awareness that experiences everything. -
We have gravity. We have electricity. We cannot move our body through a wall. We cannot move things with our mind. Nobody is casting spells that light the skies. We have the power to imagine things with our mind but the same cannot be done in the world where we exist. WHY and WHY NOT???

@Leo Gura I agree that laws are relative, but what might be deciding which kind of laws exist where? @remember, everything is how I perceive it to be, I agree. But I can't understand how everything is how I imagine it to be. Yes, planes exist even if I forget them, imagine a plane crashing straight into your home, is it there because you imagined them? The light from the sky falls on the eyes and that enables us to see the beauty of it. Isn't that an external stimuli? Is the experience the same as you imagine a sky in your mind? Isn't imagination itself dependent on memories that you get from the space around you? @Nahm, this I agree and I am always trying make more sense out of it, but the last one, where you say that there is the ability to create the life I most want, what do you mean exactly? Can I create whatever I want while I am confined in this body? Or, is it like, everything is me and everything around me and myself is already happening the way I want it to happen? Does the 'want' exist at all? -

Light is one thing that always fascinates me, thank you for giving a new perception to it. @Member Thank you for being honest that you don't know. @LastThursday, your intuitions make great sense too. Coming to the second point, I agree that laws make life beautiful and possible, but why not something different now and then, isn't life too boring with the same laws? -
An young being replied to An young being's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@NahmAre you saying that I am capable of closing my eyes and create whatever reality I want without any external stimuli? -
An young being replied to An young being's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Yes, but still I think only the perception of the world will change using electricity and chemicals. Maybe one day we will create virtual worlds using our imagination and make us do whatever we want but still they have to be within the rules that we program ,which still follow the rules of the universe. We create virtual worlds consciously so that we can have fun. If it's the case within this universe, should it be called imagination? Doesn't imagination mean creating whatever reality we want, including the rules? What's limiting our imagination? Isn't the term misleading? Let us assume everything is the projection of our mind. There can be two possible projectors I can think of. One is the individual's mind. If it is the case, then how can the other individuals' minds project something that does not exist simultaneously with the same accuracy? If we consider the single consciousness existing simultaneously as individual minds as well as everything else, what makes you think the consciousness is capable of imagining what it wants? Why can't it be random stuff? What if there is no imagination at all, but simply everything that can be imagined? By fixed, I don't mean the laws that we discover, but the laws that we perceive in our reality. Why can't I fly to moon without a rocket even though I am able to imagine it? The laws are the ones preventing me from doing that. -

Yeah, but it was a good experience to develop interest and create a strong habit of meditation. -

I feel some kind of body distortion very often. I think our normal sensory perceptions are getting shut down. -

@Nahm , my imagination is so powerful, yet I am not able to alter it. Why not? -
An young being replied to An young being's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@cnfvmAnything is possible, I may agree. But the ways to make it possible, it isn't straightforward right? Like, if I want to fly now, I can't. Because gravity is always there as long as earth is there. @Boethius What laws do you think we don't seem to agree? Thanks for sharing this beautiful poem, took me a good amount of time to understand and enjoy it! Are you sure it is designed in a specific way rather than being random in all possible ways? @justfortoday If there is no physical universe, how is it possible that everything seems so perfect, there should be a glitch somewhere, right? @LastThursdayIt is made up to explain nature. Why is nature in a specific way following a specific patterns rather than being something random? @Artsu That may be possible. But nobody is able to experience that it's possible as far as I know, beyond physical limits. If you can show me somebody, it would be very exciting. -

Does it create anything it wants or everything it can possible create? -
An young being replied to An young being's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@commie, thank you, I have never heard of this philosophy ( thanks to my crooked brain), but it seems to come near to my view of these laws. The laws simply exist because we are living here and we are able to observe only the laws around us. There should be all possible laws existing in all possible ways in all possible universes, if it has to make sense in some way. If there is something else involved in creating life and this suitable universe to sustain life, even then it must have existed in a universe where all possibilities exist.
