I liked Greene's Mastery way more than 48 Laws

Nausicaä, the manga by Hayao Miyazaki. Splendid masterpiece, it is like Avatar but better

And that is to say language is a lesser degree of consciousness than telepathy. We use language because we are too dumb for telepathy
-
You are assuming people use language for expanding their consciousness. Laughable.

In music when you compose a melody you try to play with a simple idea. Then you rotate it verticaly, horizontaly, you transpose it, you can stretch it, you can create two voices of it. You are playing with symethry, it is literally drawing if you write in musical notation. It is like geometry. Math is not different.
-
That's sort of what is happening in this thread, we are developing a deeper idea of mathematics
-
Jeez you really need to learn basic language. You guys are really lacking in practice. Or basic education.

Novelty fades away quickly -
This is a cool and fun exercise/experiment. Most of you may know that if you only see with one eye you cannot perceive depth. The exercise is as follows: Lie down looking to the ceiling and close one eye. Spend some time there and you can start perceiving the ceiling hyper close to your eye, as if it right next to you, and you can switch to the oposite and percieve it as far far away. Like kilometers away. You can percieve it being 1000km away as if your looking at the surface of a planet. Following the same idea, turn around and look straight to the surface below (your sofa or floor) and just open one eye. Wait until you see that "little" space as a giant room!!

Mathematics is like drawing.

That is because I have a bias and I like the content of this particular language. But I throw a lot of possible answers not as definitive but as examples, since you need to cover a lot if you want to know something. But I think there are better qustions like: what it is to be a human? Is a language just a feature of being a human? Or is it a feature of consciousness? What is higher order than language? What comes before language in cognitive development? What would destroy a language? What cognitive function is better than mathematics? And worse? (In terms of intelligence) I had an awakening where I saw everything is imagination. So I undertand mathematics is not exeption, it is just pure imagination. Now the contents of it, I do care. Probably because I was constantly forced to learn it during 13 years, but also because I like it.

@Michal__ This is more like a contemplation, it takes time to shift your perspective. So it shouldn't matter much. -

Uf, being horny is a bitch in those retreats. But with caffeine I made the mistake of taking the black tea as the last beverage of the day, probably at 4pm and bed time being 9pm. Plus I was going to bed normally at 3am during that period of my life. So I literally had a lot of sleepless nights during the retreat. You wake up at 4:30am. That's the reason I was reluctanct to do it again. When I don't consume caffeine my baseline is a super calm state, perfect for meditation. So I would do it again, but prioritizing all of this. -
Yeah, I know

I just did one 10days vipassana retreat, and I regret taking instant coffe and black tea every day. It ruined my sleep and the whole retreat was off. -
The conformity of reasoning. You can trace back that one in your life. Yea true, like not masturbating on someone's grave. Huge conformity. And saying yeah at the begining of your phrase haha.
-
Well that exposes conformity so it doesn't count

"Is this a good question?" No/yes So then you make space for better questions or you don't get stuck with bad ones.

This one is questionable but: The way manufacturers design cars. They all have this round shape with sharp-lines following a wave path. But it is also because of aerodynamics, although they're full of unnecesary details that it is just conformity. It is like the shape of plastic bottles, another example of conformity. It is not just a cylinder, but a cylinder with smooth dots, sexy curves, futuristic forms...

Could you make an episode on kriya yoga practice?

What I am finding is that mathematics is not different than english, or spanish, or sign language, or any language. 1/2 is "one divided by two" sooo.... They are the same. In fact I would say that mathematics is just a condensed form of spoken language, making it implicit af and full of assumption that you need to uncover and not just copy. In that regard, mathematics is also a mode of imagining. It is imagining proportions and forms, divisions. It is imagination. The better you are at math the easiest you see this. If you're just a teen in math class you just copy the procedures and you don't see it as a mode of imagination. It depends on the teachers you have. Luckily you have a math teacher that cares to explain all those implicit assumption and make you understant the true meaning of mathematic operations. Mathematics is not different than going to the supermarket and buying bread. Or building a home. It is just repeating different actions to arrive at some place.

That is different from what you were saying earlier. If your version of success is becoming hyper famous rapper and buying luxury items, then the success rate is 1 in 100k, for sure. It is not wise at all aiming for that though...

Sadly most of the time when participating in conversations or discussions, the last thing that arrives is truth. It might not be so obvious through a forum but being present in the same room is obviously what happens most of the time, anything but truth. For the simple reason we are so so different, we have different preferences, motives and needs. Even if we both want to know the same thing one might be in a different state. Plus, maybe an answer is just intuitive and cannot be spoken... How do you know?? How do you know if I am speaking the truth or I am lying? Not like I want to lie, but being truthful in a conversation is as hard as it gets. Sorry, that's how it is. You can only know what language is through your own experience. That much should be obvious. And I don't know what kind of communication you resonate with the most, so I could be talking very accurately but for you it is just nonsense. Or I can say nonsense too, that is not wrong, just not helpful.
