What is even more startling is what was being discussed at the moment of the assassination, obviously a direct connection. Look for yourself -

Happiness comes from infinity. When you see infinity in any domain of life you will understand happiness. -

Brazil is less developed, isn't it obvious? -

Bernie Sanders take on this is quite good: He's too old for being a president is what I think. The stress of taking office would harm any good views he has. -
I have a book by Asimov where he talks about how he became a good science fiction writer. He essentially read a lot of the genre and started writing his own stuff, he sucked at first. My thoughts are that you should go study formal education on writing so you learn a lot of different genres. But if anything you should read what Asimov says about writing . (book)

It reminded me of JFK assassination I don't understand how bulletproof glass boxes for political discourses was never a thing in USA. A gap in the market. A rather traumatizing event for those present. -
I can not know that for you. You may understand a lot in one hour or you may need another five extra hours of deep work. Realistically it will be much more, for examples babies are exposed a lot of hours a day to their native language so they're able to pick it very quickly. But also most of it is not active learning like adults, just the constant exposure so you understand something from different angles. I'm sure if you replicate that you'll see a lot of progress.

I thought so... an idealistic public education should be just that: public. Probably that particular institution is not even worth it, it gives the feeling of having toxic competition and dramatic administration. I would advise people to put some money into their education, since it will be more serious from the begining. I study music in a private school and found no other way of making progress, but the basics still holds: you need consistency. People that work along with their studies make less progress.

That's because you're not training yourself to spot insights, or maybe you don't care -
What? Are you sure about that? There are full careers for becoming a writer. What you say is like saying "there isn't any music making courses". If anything you should go with whatever you resonate more, and if that's writing then investigate more because there's absolutely a way. I personally know people who went to study writing after school. Also, you can work part time in an ordinary job while you study so you take it out of your system if you need to

You may find this video interesting. It will explain Norway to you. Why Norway is Becoming the World's Richest Country What I find is for societies to excel in being a good society there needs to be: favorable geography and an equilibrium between free trade and government regulations. Just like the video explains, Norway government lets companies bring the technology and exploit the resources but they still have some degree of sovereignty over the business. They do not completely invade, monopolize and conquest the business nor they let companies run absolutely freely and unchecked. -
I use a graphic tablet to take notes in my computer. I use Xournal++ wich is open source and lets you draw over PDFs, before I used One Note from windows but doesn't support pdf files as well as Xournal. No other program (all the paid ones like Acrobat) can do this simple task. If you buy a tactil laptop with pencil then better, but costs more. Graphic tablets are quite cheap and it's like drawing on paper plus the tools of drawing softwares for pc.

I don't know if I understood correctly, but you tried to enter an art school and they asked you a portfolio to aply, before teaching you skills?

Don't underestimate the power of such discussions, if anything they will spark inspiration in spiritual seeking -

Context is just ego, right? You pretty much nailed the answer already, context is just a mental construct. And maybe you can't answer the question by creating more context (more structures, mental maps), which is a catch 22 -
Human Mint replied to Cathy92506's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
For example realizing illusions the ego constructs, like the illusion of a family, or the illusion of being part of a nation. Imagine if you realize you're constructing your family, then you immediately see past any kind of drama, jealousy, envy, because you identify less with it. And I am explaining just the first stages of spiritual work, which is where I am currently at. But as you may start to see, it goes in the direction of oneness. -

Good for you! Actually mind blowing experiences. Those kind of realization requires having a still mind, which occurs in rare occasions... -
One of the few places where I find good insights. The closest to God while sober

The way you frame it makes it look like you have no option in how to feel, which is true to an extent, but can you see/experience torture and still be happy? I genuinely believe you can 'bulletproof' yourself to the point where torture doesn't hit you as you state. But on the other hand, if you're schizophrenic then your experience is very much conditioned. Most murders have some sort of mental illness, which in a sense makes them innocents.

Sounds interesting, probably has some effect. Well, meditation is sort of training if you use it that way.

I find that the best way to train your 'brain power' is to do exactly the thing you want to ace head on, let me explain. For example learning a new language is almost imposible at first, but as you grind your mind will start to "make space" for new vocabulary and work on your behalf virtually all the time, something unthinkable at first. The thing is that this particular skill won't translate to or make more easy playing a new instrument. You gotta open the doors manually again to that new realm. That's why I think your approach is somehow narrow. Because the amount of new memory you unlock is directly proportional to the amount of effort you put, despite the challenge.

I plan to live there in the future. Germany is one of the few countries that prioritizes nature in their urban planification. They make sure most residents can access a green area easily. Nowhere in the world you see this, at least not in the same deliberate form. Some cities may have a natural area but probably because they cannot build on top of it for geographical reasons. Every german city has a forest inside, or 'Stadtwald'. Norway does this too, Oslo is directly connected to forest and nature. Is this simple policy that elevates the quality of life by orders of magnitude. The way is done in every other country, a park with a few trees and concrete paths is not enough, because the problem is most of society views natural reserves as luxury and not an essential part for human beings. What level of german are you currently at?

Hey, I have a suggestion. I know you understand best your own situation, but why not you just go for a run whenever you feel stuck in your head? Like literally, be strong enough to get up from the couch, exit your house and start running. It sounds simplistic, but it's because it actually is simple - most of the time -
That is also part of being responsible. The problem is when one says that but instead you become a slave of complacency, lol.

I think the last bit is a generalization and an assumption. There is no reason why would everyone act the same way. But what really interests me is the fact that, let's suppose you're being raped, deep down you know is wrong. But if you're too weak you might just believe that you deserve to be raped, although deep down you know is wrong. Why? When rape stops being rape and becomes sex? Also a psychological structure? Are you saying that consensus is a psychological structure?
