That was a boring guest tbh. I've found this interview a bit more to the point, but I think he's still distracted with the panthism/idealism hair splitting. I like his "live" contemplation way of talking that lets you follow along. First time hearing him btw. -
This is a cool report. I resonate with it. Ego death is like mental surgery without anesthesia. I did not understand much your "fana al fana" thing back then.

The issue is that this shouldn't mean that you get to bomb nannies in their homes. -
I would add that "thinking for yourself" is being in a place of not knowing (either skepticisim or wonder). So you are not jumping from one belief you hear to the other. That one is cool because next time you're with people you can see them getting pulled from one belief to the other and you can just be in a place of not knowing.

Academic trap, huh?

Great question.

Epistemology is so important because you get to know that you can know the deepest questions and how to. That's preliminary.

They'll quickly transcend it.

I think this is the core on why there's so much taboo with psychedelics and why they're banned. It can produce both states equally easily. There has been a lot of backlash by the mindset of "free psychedelics for all" -
Recently I've been researching mental illnesses and I found great lens from which to look at this particular mental illness: Dopamine is linked to this illness, particularly an excess of it. Well not quite an excess but uncontrolled spikes of it at the wrong times. Dopamine helps you to pay attention to crucial information that you need. Primarily for your immediate survival, like remembering a piece of information because your life is at stake (for example social pressure could be a big factor). In a normal person this would work at specific times were you need it, but in a schizophrenic person it shoots up any time, giving relevance to irrelevant stuff! It is the feeling of having your life at stake 24/7 without rests. And what's the hearing of voices and all that stuff? I don't know, what do you think it is? Well I kinda know but I want you to connect dots for yourself. Sorry that I am not offering more info though but you can look for yourself. This is not the full picture of neurotransmitters though and science doesn't comprehend a lot of it. Science mostly does the obvious stuff of scanning what parts of the brain acctivates and inyecting neurotransmitters and see what happens. And yes you can have hints about the illness this way. And this is from a neurobiological point of view only but it certainly connects to Mind and Onthology, since it is essentially the mind doing sensemaking in a pathological way. It is Love though, don't get it wrong. I sincerely don't understand why some people in this forum dismiss neurobiology that much. Open to the discussion anyways.

@manuel bon Absolutely they do require more time. Maybe not at the same rate, but if you get good at something you'll be more productive. The better you get the faster you produce high quality stuff.

For me it was really helpful listening to truthful views of the masculine-femenine dynamics. You can absolutely respect women while still having a truthful view.

@manuel bon Who says less?

I am just talking in hypotheticals but maybe the root of your problem is not focusing exclusively on high quality products. I think the change you want to make is beneficial anyways. YouTube may help you into creating with excellence.

Chances are you're going to undergo such a phase in your life. No point in judging it.

Absolutely, this is how you get to the truth not through arguing. Psychedelics made me sober up real quick. Adapt or die kind of thing. -

For sure, I still need to recontextualize a lot of stuff. Eager to do so. -

I have to add something that I've missing. A lot of spirituality will terrorize the ego in many ways. And that is not necesarily a mistake, but a requisite for grow. Like it can feel you're going insane. But diamonds are created through insane pression. I still want to diferentiate from full blown psychosis because you can't come out of that one without medications commonly. -
If only they realized that mysticism would make them more intelligent.

Good spirituality (as in spirituality done correctly) is the opposite of psychosis rather. -
I didn't know that. So in a sense it would be like german fans doing the infamous salute in a romantic way.
