  1. For some it may have caused permanent mental issues, well that's another form of life changing.
  2. I had one truly transformative trip on dmt, it was so powerful I tried putting my hand on the stove and felt an orgasm. It changed my life because everything I do now is grounded as fuck, I don't make a big deal of things anymore even though I can't escape suffering. But on a daily I am more focused on the invisible growth and change derived solely from habits. P.S: I was very irresponsible back then when I had this trip, so trip safer than me. Said that, the last thing I wanted was to loose my hand so I quickly retrieved it, believe it or not your reason is still present.
  3. Probably a lot of it comes also from the insane levels of group thinking that comes with being part of a football team and spending time everyday in a locker room with another 20 dudes.
  4. If you're not careful creating taxes you also take the risk of punishing entrepreneurs, start ups. Taxes don't hold civilization, but growth and innovation does. Funny enough if you manage taxes and State spending correctly you will have actual room for social charity. The problem is very few have the vision to get us there and most people's work based on defending their position.
  5. Not really, I love rationality. I said it very lightly but I have read a red book called "logic" out of curiosity when I was 17, and I kept studying for a year very rational subjects - attended to chemistry, math and biology classes before switching career - and after that I discover actualized.org, started meditating and got interested with psychedelics. So you're probably right, excuse me. But even then I don't know what you understand for rationality and how you use it, so it would be good if you explain yourself more. edit: plus I started learning C language on my own (self taught with youtube videos) I think at around 14. You're working head on with raw logic there. And kids nowadays start learning programming in primary school.
  6. That's the beauty of traveling right there, it is like visiting a zoo. I just traveled outside once to Sicily and the contrast is interesting, to say the least. But really after the video I was suddenly picking conformity everywhere, and I still am. Mostly on myself, is like I catch myself more easily. And also I think you can derive some meaning conforming to the right things. Just like the example of NASA, there may be a spark of creativity in a group which is something I value a lot. That's why you always need to be more conscious than the rest.
  7. Nah, that's high school stuff... I bet the video will cover how rationality actually prevents deep thoughts
  8. Nothing bad about it, except it doesn't help animals . Something as simple as building cat corridors for houses can be a life purpose. You're enhancing their otherwise depressing lives inside apartments.
  9. I am sure he wrote a satire here.
  10. To be honest, conforming to neuroscience will make you appreciate neural plasticity, which can make you less rigid.
  11. @tuku747 lol, there you have it, hell sending signals
  12. You're intelligent because you're creating mediocrity. Still not satisfied? The fact that I say something and it impacts you that is intelligence in action, the same way fungus bellow earth impacts life on the surface, that's also intelligence. How can you miss this? For example by being religious, aka letting your mind rot.
  13. @UnbornTao Basically I am saying you can study hell the same way you can study the space, probably. Who wants to? Idk
  14. Music makes you retarded, but I love listening this:
  15. If you study the space you're an astrophysicist, so if you study hell are you a psychiatrist?
  16. Well it depends on what you call bullshit. I've seen enough videos of people getting killed (murder and suicide) and I have to spend some hours afterwards in shock processing their dumbness. But at the end you laugh at the stupidity. You can hurt others, it is your own choice.
  17. @Carl-Richard Do you mean particular things like a drug or things like that? Or more general situations? A good family will determine a better quality of thoughts.
  18. Right, but there are levels of self deception and there are moments when you're less self deceived. Like if you say something, but it's wrong, and you cannot see it's wrong and you keep defending it, then that's self deception, right? But there must be times when you're actually correct and not deceiveng yourself, otherwise deception wouldn't even exist to begin with.
  19. How do you know you're always self-deceived? Like, at what point you're not then...? Some people are more self deceived than others, that's for sure. But what does that even mean, lol
