  1. @Leo Gura- watching Vervake's meaning crisis series- thought you'd get a laugh out of 3:15min-3:42min "Trying to explain Consciousness is like trying to explain God". I'm over here like- they are the same fucking thing! On a less playful note- I notice many scientist and academic types, when they speak of Consciousness-they often use phrases like "your consciousness of (x)" or "you are conscious of (x)"-which carries implicit undertones that consciousness is some bi-product of human neurons, thus trapped in the brain. To go from 'you are conscious of (x)' to 'you ARE Consciousness' is a huge leap in Understanding -- I get a sense that Vervake does not have that level of understanding Good lectures nonetheless
  2. Having a threesome, but still got some years left to give it a shot
  3. Deconstruct solipsism and you find that’s it’s an unnecessary label that you assign to the realization of what you are Tricky thing is the realization is independent of solipsism being true or not
  4. Solipsism is useless without the God Realization that comes with it. AI can’t fathom how profound it is, but the good news is you can
  5. Through this work- I have come to appreciate the intelligence behind the self deception required to hold a belief system. God constructs belief system for a specific purpose, similar to dressing up in a costume for Halloween.
  6. ‘Exit Systems to Understand Them’ post- intriguing how are social networks do so much for us in shaping our identities in formative years of our lives. There are healthy and unhealthy versions of this- but all aim to reinforce the self-other distinction and collective ego. These are critical bedrocks of survival we take for granted, as we’re feeding off these social networks we are becoming emotionally dependent on the system, and serving its survival-mostly unconsciously. Realizing Truth and God comes at a significant price, can even risk emotional well being as it relates to human form-I’m starting to see. I’ve questioned my willingness to do this work plenty of times because of this, yet for some reason I keep moving forward. I’m grateful I value such teaching of self transcendence and God Realization- but boy, it sure hurts after a while.
  7. Can’t do this as long as you’re paying taxes. We’re all accountable to answer to someone at the end of the day.

  9. Great interview, I'm impressed with both of these humans-thought provoking discussion on the evolution of physics: Very much relates to core teachings of Actualized.org on Intelligence:
  10. Yes indeed. The beauty of Imagination .. its totality is striking. Imagine being able to Imagine anything you want. That's what you Mind is doing
  11. How do you navigate this during from all your tripping?
  12. I've been racking my mind for the past 2-3 weeks trying to come up with a million dollar business idea... Then i stopped and asked myself if profit didn't matter, what would i enjoy that's authentic to my personality? BAM -- my idea for suitable creative project came to me almost instantly. I am excited because I now realize that working on some form of art project that's authentic to my personality is all that matters. I can follow my creative intuition and see how it transforms my life --whether it makes $100 million or $5 bucks is irrelevant. It's living a life of constantly developing my creative skills and reaching new heights.
  13. thats good homework .. ok good to re-learn it after seeing all of its self deceptions
  14. @Leo Gura can we expect a comprehensive steelman of rationalism in the coming episode(s)?- that would bring it full circle I feel
  15. Insight: what do scientist and religious people have in common? They both believe in objective truths that exist independent of their subjective interpretations. Ex: Scientists don't realize their is no scientific method outside of their mind constructing it Same with Christians and Jesus.
  16. The recent posts on Christianity has really hit home. If I had it my way, I would ban all religion- really starting to see how religious indoctrination (the thing that which claims to teach God) is an obstruction to God. This is real Twilight zone shit - - if any one owns a Bible or Quaran, the best thing you can do with that book for your spiritual health is deconstruct it. So so so COUNTER INTUITIVE. God imagines religion and worships false idols to fool itself that it isn't God. Once this is realized .... boy o boy
  17. How they use anxiety to control the masses is by creating a story that there is someone somewhere that is using anxiety to control the masses. The irony

  19. STEM paths are pretty reliable. Unfortunate because not everyone is into STEM, should not have to incur thousands in student debt to get a quality university experience.
  20. Meta Rationality.com quote-David Chapman There’s another problem: scientific instruments are not ontologically neutral; their outputs are “theory-laden” and not bare facts. You can only believe a measurement is meaningful—never mind reliable—if you already accept particular concepts, assumptions, and theories; and those are always to some degree nebulous and uncertain. Mind-blowing stuff
  21. I challenge you to think of it not as rule based conformist thinking, but a social courtesy based off legitimate grievances of an historically oppressed group of people.
  22. Of course -- without rules you get social anarchy and chaos. That's what government institutions and police are for. The U.S. Constitution is a set of rules, without which we'd all be enslaved to most powerful. Even in that case, the Constitution at one point only considered Blacks as three fifths of a human: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Three-fifths_Compromise Rules matter
