Quite the opposite. There’s nothing natural about harmony at all- social environments have to be configured in such a way where harmonious relations between humans can be facilitated. Also- harmony itself not an absolute good. Harmonious groups delude themselves about all sorts of things. At least a forum space like this allows us to challenge perspectives and prevent echo chambers and paradigm lock. It would be wise to drop the fantasy of harmony being an absolute good altogether. ps. It’s funny how ppl complain about the forum but don’t take any action to leave or engage with it in a way that they feel will elevate it. It’s like the psychology grad who sits on ass all day complaining about to corporations and the economy yet refuses to apply for a job or start a business of his own

Posting this because I’ve never hear rationality defined this way. This apparatus has self imposed constraints that makes it rational-(in its own eyes). It must conform to the notion that all things in existence have objective properties that are: Inherent to the thing itself Exists independent of subjective interpretation & perspective The cool thing is rationality can be invoked by both scientific and non scientific worldviews. When a fundamentalist Christian is citing the Bible to explain various phenomena of Consciousness, this is a rational process in his mind. Same goes with science people make appeals to the scientific method, proof, etc. Ultimately, humans use rationality primarily to reinforce their worldview. That which is considered “adequate” science or proof is that which solidifies one’s biases and self serving narratives. Meta rationality recognizes this- now the question becomes how to transcend its limits.

Anything activity that a human considers healthy and/or unhealthy can be done in a conformist or a non conformist way. How could I be wrong about my assumption?

Science conformity in the form of taken for granted assumptions- That figments of Consciousness have inherent properties that are objective, and are independent of subjective interpretation (including language, culture, history, cognitive development, etc). That the scientific method, materialism, reductionism, logical positivism, rationalism are beyond just mere figments of Consciousness. When in actuality, nothing about science is objective .. what is considered "objective" by scientist is largely illusory and socially constructed.
