  1. hi innerchild. the whole point of shadow work is to surface your deepest emotions and bring them to awareness. so all the stories and emotions that are bubbling up are a sign of doing things correctly. nothing to worry about. combining shamanic breathing with journaling and shadow work is very powerful. just let the stories and emotions pass through awareness like clouds pass through the sky. watch them surfacing and then going away because they will go away and you will become stronger. i get the sense that all thats missing here is detachment that is the ability to not be taken by the content of the thoughts. ultimately with shadow work you want to be able to view and talk about your history without feeling bad about it. you want to be comfortable with all parts of yourself by acknowledging yourself to the deepest levels. you want to be familiar with who you are. maybe also try watching leos videos on letting go and going meta. theyre very helpful.
