Recently ChatGPT started to feel more and more manipulative to me. It can give nuanced and complex answers, but always in a way that tries to flatter me or positively affirms my thinking. It feels superficial to me in a way it hasnt before. Claude feels a bit more authentic and grounded. I think all of these LLMS have the danger that they can create a positive feedback-loop on your existing bias.

Im not denying that there is valuable stuff in there and I would recommand to read all the ones you mentioned, but at some point you wont gain much more value by reading hundreds of personal-development books. After reading 10-25 of the best you will get the gist of it and it becomes pretty repetitive. Nowadays Im bored to death if I read a classical self-development book. Implementation of the few ideas that will really make a difference in your life is much more important.

Reading tons of mostly stage-orange self-improvement books still isnt a good indicator for some more ambitious and holistic definition of personal-development. His center of gravity still seems to be orange after all these years of reading and studying.

Sounds pretty intense. I never heard of this technique of taking it before sleeping. But I probably wouldnt want to have such an reality-shattering experience and I imagine it can be very hard to integrate such an experience afterwards. Thanks for sharing!

Have you shared a more detailed trip-report of this experience anywhere here on the forum? Did you do this method once or multiple times? And how did you integrate this experience afterwards?

Then go for this one: There are still some amazing highly creative genius regisseurs out there like Paul Thomas Anderson or Giorgos Lanthimos.

Daniel Pinchbeck has been following and reporting on all of this very thoroughly over the last months. I have been binging his substack way too much in the last weeks, this is a good and insightful overview.

Im located exactly in the blindspot - the "toter Winkel" in german. -
They are probably abiding in deep states of non-dual awareness

This is one of the most insane movies ever made, but still an artistic-masterpiece with Stanley Kubrick-level production:
-
At what dosages do you notice these effects? I tried 0,5mg to 2mg to sleep a few times, but I always woke up more tired and with headaches.

Yes it is insane what is happening in USA right now. We can see live and right in front of our eyes how an authoriatarian fascist regime gets instantiated. And still the podcast-bros are mostly concerned with the authoritarianism of the democrats and the "deep state". They will have a harsh wake-up realizing they are on the wrong side of history. It is exactly like Leo explained the devil.

I think the error of thinking that leads to a weird form of Solipsism is exactly expressed in your sentence. When you think it as "your" mind or "my" mind it makes it seem like Mind is owned by self. But no singular self is in possession of universal Mind, rather universal Mind is the container for self. -

Yes the metaphor of dissociative personality-disorder is from him but this is how I make sense of these experiences and Solipsism. -

And I think the error stems from the premise that we can directly experience and prove All of Truth within our bubble of experience, but we cant prove this premise within our bubble of experience. -

I think there is one universal Mind and we all are fundamentally this one universal Mind. But in the same way someone with dissociative personality-disorder can have multiple personalities with different memories and character-traits associated - each of which dont have access into each other although they are running on the same brain - big Mind dissociates into multiple minds/different bubbles of experience, which dont have access into each other as long as they are in the process of dissociation - which is life. When we have an enlightenment-experience or an ego-death experience we lose our identification with ego/self/the body and therefore identify only with this one universal Mind, but as long as the process of life/dissociation is going we still only have access to our own little bubble of experience. Then we have the experience of being this one universal Mind but still only see it from the limited perspective of our bubble of experience and interpret it as Solipsism. -
Yes, this feels like the Mother of all of those and my favourite guitar in a song ever

Nice! Reminds me of this one:

Yes, this was great fun! This is another one with Mads Mikkelses, which was very thrilling, although not so much fun: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ieLIOBkMgAQ
