I looked it up, and my only guess is it is because I have a high metabolism and have a highly philosophical/inquisitive personality. Lemon tek may have helped too. I was thinking of doing 2g next trip, but given how deep 0.9g was, I am hesitant. I must be sensitive. Is this how it is for everyone? -

Already have. The first time I had the no-self/oneness realization was in 2018 through meditation/contemplation. I realized in 2018 that I invented every single book and planet, and am one with everyone. This trip is staying with me. It made me understand these insights deeper. And helped me grasp that reality and dreams are identical. It was amazing actually getting this rather than theorizing about it. It goes so far that the mushrooms, brain, and trip itself is even a hallucination. I am the Universe/God. We all are. The difference is that I am deeply connected to you, but you may not be deeply aware of your connection to me. If I hadn’t been meditating and being philosophically interested all these years, I probably wouldn’t have had my awakening. I actually had to contemplate. -

Thanks guys. There’s still so much more to uncover. So much more depth of insight to be had. But I’m grateful to have experienced so much more depth to this work. This is a good starting point. -
I’m not buying it. Fluoride helps prevent tooth decay and cavities. I could be wrong. But I think the Mainstream is right on this one.

What’s wrong with using normal toothpaste? I use Colgate and have no complaints.

Thanks. I appreciate you so much! I’m excited to finally do this shit I’ve been procrastinating on! I will grind them up and put them in lemon juice for about 10 minutes.
-
@Leo Gura I saw your edited message. I’m thinking that I may just cut them up and put them in apple sauce and eat them.
-
Thanks! Do you recommend lemon tek for a more intense trip? Or I could put it in apple sauce? My purpose is to contemplate consciousness. I watched your old video on how to use psychedelics for personal growth. @Leo Gura

I just bought a food scale that measure in 0.1g and I weighed both mushrooms and they are about 1g total. The big mushroom weighed .6g and the small one was .3g, which together weighs .9g. Looks like I’m gonna consume both mushrooms in the ziplock bag. I’m gonna do lemon tek + green tea it. Does this sound about right guys? I am gonna do it this Saturday, and I might make a trip report about it. Right now, I just have them in the ziplock bag and have them in a dark place in my drawer. Some friends suggested putting it in apple sauce and eating it.

Very helpful! Thanks so much. I’m gonna start with 1-2g. I’m gonna do lemon tek + green tea. I’m gonna buy a food scale from Walmart to buy the mushrooms, then I’m gonna cut the mushroom up into small pieces. Then I’ll put it in lemon juice for 10 minutes. Then I’ll pour green tea into it and drink it.

Keep the topic to my psilocybin mushrooms. Y’all can start a new thread, or I can ask the mods to lock this thread. Thanks.

I am wanting to just do 1g-2g. Is what is in my plastic bag, the 2 mushrooms enough for one trip or will I have to cut them down? How many trips do you think the 2 mushrooms will be if I want to start with only 1-2g?
-
Thanks for all of your advice and feedback guys.
-
Thanks. What do you recommend? My main thing is I want to start with 1g and I don’t know how much is in my bag. Is it fine if I store it in my ziplock bag in my closet?
-
Thanks for the advice guys. How do I measure the amount? I am wanting to start with 1g. Do you just use a food scale from Walmart or what?
-
Amen. Thanks for your reply. Strain? I don’t think he knows what strain. But you think I’m all set? I don’t think there is fentanyl in them. I trust him, but I might just have to take a leap of faith. Is there a weight scale you recommend for weighing them?

One of the obvious assumptions with Buddhism is that it conflates survival and the elimination of suffering with Absolute Truth. But one of the problems with Buddhism is that, at the end of the day, would Buddha prioritize eliminating suffering or Truth? If Truth brought more suffering to mankind, would he actually advise mankind to pursue it? This is the main crux of the problem with Buddhism. Other than that, Buddhism is a useful fantasy. Falsehood can be beneficial. If falsehood wasn't beneficial, then people would not engage in it. Truth is not beneficial. It is what it is. Does Buddha teach a path to Truth or a path to happiness? If "truth" makes you happy and feel good, it most likely is falsehood. People don't get that to pursue truth is to pursue disillusionment and derealization. If you aren't getting disillusioned, then you may not be unraveling all the delusions deeply enough. Once you go through the work of deconstructing all that is false, there is empty meaninglessness left. To build a meaningful life and play the game of survival requires that you engage in some form of fantasy. I now understand why nobody pursues Truth because it burns all of your pet theories, meditation, and fantasy. It shows you just how meaningless and selfish you are, and nobody wants to see that. But what is missed is that truth and understanding can be very liberating at the same time because of how deep your connection to reality will be. There is something very liberating when you deconstruct all your delusions and allow yourself to process the meaninglessness of life. If you cannot handle solipsism and meaninglessness, then what you are pursuing is not truth but some kind of spiritual safety blanket. The pursuit of Truth is for a spiritual masochist. Truth is the scariest thing to pursue. I am still trying to find the "rewards." The whole notion of a "reward" is falsehood and counter to truth. You don't pursue truth because of a reward. You pursue truth because you want to understand reality as it is. That is its own "reward." Just some thought.

“Reward” is a construction based on the ego, false self. All that you mention there is about survival and ego. Superknowledge, bliss, and immortality are ultimately meaningless in the Absolute. Reward has to do with survival and is relative and not Absolute. -

That consciousness is infinitely mysterious, entirely empty, and without meaning, but yet constructs meaning out of fantasy. -

God, what question would you like me to ask? -

I think this should’ve been posted in the psychedelics subforum. -
@Leo Gura Could you do a blog post on the scale you use to weigh your mushrooms? Anything you recommend for storage? I may possibly be getting them from a friend and I want to be prepared. I’m gonna probably do 1g lemon tek. I’m kinda excited! If you put the affiliate link of what you use, I’ll get it. Thanks!

@Leo Gura In regards to your blog post on American Airlines, what do you think about the lawsuit against Capital One? https://www.consumerfinance.gov/about-us/newsroom/cfpb-sues-capital-one-for-cheating-consumers-out-of-more-than-2-billion-in-interest-payments-on-savings-accounts/
