In a society with a hierarchy, the mind splits into categories that are active at different times. In South Africa whites believed they were superior and the majority wanted to maintain apartheid, but now that it ended most say they were against it, because when it was available the part that thinks they are superior is active, but when it ends the part that thinks they aren’t comes out. Israelis are raised in a racial hierarchy and think they are racially superior to others, especially Arabs. When people are in a position to exploit others their subconscious mind convinces them to demonize the other group and believe they are superior to maintain the exploitation. But the other half of the Israelis consciousness telling them otherwise will come out as soon as it’s clear maintaining the hierarchy is unsustainable.

I think China miscalculated. Trump realized he has more leverage if he gets the rest of the world closer to his side and isolates China. If I was China I wouldn’t tariff the US but rather threaten countries that trade with the US but rely more on China with tariffs unless they tariffed the US, and offer them extremely generous trade deals if they maintain the tariffs. This would have pressured the US without giving the US an excuse to increase tariffs on China in “retaliation”. Then use that to buy time and prepare while trump pushes away other countries until closer to the midterms then unleash harsh retaliation tariffs to pressure republicans who would be at risk of losing if the economy tanks.

you’re proving my point. You are contradicting yourself. In one breath it’s about being a real men in the next it’s all men doing it and nothing to do with women. That isn’t true. This is my point, you can’t complain about men wanting traditionalism to return while also defending men being binded to their own traditional roles as protector, pursuer, and provider.
