  1. @Javfly33 Yes, I'm a Rupert fan. Is it that obvious? I can't speak from personal experience, but there are those who say it's possible to live in permanent peace/happiness. That's my goal.
  2. @Serotoninluv Happiness is our highest desire. The only reason we desire anything is because we think that thing will make us happy. If you knew that your desire for truth would make you miserable, would you still desire it? I would suggest not. @Leo Gura I respect your quest for truth (many of the claims you make are interesting), but as I said, anything beyond fulfillment is superfluous. I'm jealous of any cat that can sit and be totally fulfilled.
  3. Unless you're content with the innate fulfillment and peace that come with realizing your true nature. Anything beyond this fulfillment is superfluous, in my humble opinion.
  4. It's because our very nature is happiness. People are seeking themselves although most are not aware of this.
  5. @LfcCharlie4 I've actually been messaging someone from this forum who no longer regularly posts. Not sure if that qualifies as one-on-one guidance but he's been very helpful. And I'm with you, Rupert is awesome!
  6. @LfcCharlie4 Yeah, I can see how 1-on-1 guidance would be more beneficial. Not everyone has that luxury though. Rupert has been very helpful on my path.
  7. @Nahm I just mean, sometimes while resting in Being it's accompanied by peace, while other times resting in Being is more of a blank experience with no qualities.
  8. Being is always available but the qualities of Being such as peace, fulfillment, joy, etc. do not always make themselves known. That's what I was wondering about. I had a profound glimpse of my true nature a few weeks ago in which these peaceful qualities were experienced, but lately they have been absent in meditation.
  9. @LfcCharlie4 Nice. Was there a go-to question for you that helped spark a deepening into Being? Such as Rupert's "Am I aware"? @Nahm Resting in Being is my current practice.
  10. @LfcCharlie4 Do you experience these peaceful qualities in your normal everyday life, or just when you sit down and abide in Being?
  11. @SOUL You're right, it would be best not to have any expectations at all. Thanks. @whatthefucksgoinon I recently bought a bunch of guided meditations from Rupert.
  12. Expectations may be part of the problem.
  13. A few weeks ago when I had my first taste of Awareness, it was accompanied by the qualities of peace, fulfillment, joy, etc. Which is why I'm finding it a bit frustrating that I can't replicate the experience. If you're right about it taking 100's of hours, I suppose God was saying to me, "This is what's available to you eventually", a free sample if you will.
  14. It's hard to explain what resting as Awareness is like, as it's not like any usual experience, and these moments don't last very long.
  15. If you are experiencing contentment, it's possible that you are being aware of being aware. Contentment is one of the "qualities" of Awareness.
  16. In this video Rupert encourages us to discover the peace of our essential Being in the midst of these uncertain times.
  17. In this video, Rupert Spira guides a young woman through an exploration of her essential Self.
  18. Rupert for life. Recently dropped $300.00 on his guided meditations. I regret nothing.
  19. That seems to be the direction Leo is heading in, unless I'm misreading things.
  20. This is gold. Runs a little too long in my opinion, but other than that it's pretty hilarious. "I accept you as you are, but you're incorrect."
  21. No need for psychedelics, says Rupert Spira:
  22. I would define my true nature as happiness or peace. I'm not sure what you mean when you say I'm looking for it outside of my definition...? I'm looking for it in the only place it can be found: within myself.
  23. Happiness is our very nature, in my experience.
