I see many post's that reference books, articles, websites, etc. I could find ten things that are in favor of my thoughts, views, and feelings by stroking my key board for a couple minutes. I could do the same to rebut anyone else's thoughts, views, and feelings. I am working on higher conscious but I THINK as well. I think if we were to work on things in our own small communities we could do more for people than trying to change the country or the world all at once. If the community next to you is doing good things and it works for them, people are going to notice.

The fellow who built my house made enough money to retire in his late 50's. He is a very nice and giving man with whom I became friends and he still keeps in contact with me. He gave me a quote for the exact house that I wanted in which I signed the contract. Why would I care about how much money he would make by building my house. Yes....I am a slave. To my SELF. And I am willing to take on that responsibility.

Government is there to protect the people....from each other and from outside enterprises. Our Government was also set up to protect the people from it's own government and we are losing that. Wow....I have been watching the debates and my head spins with the amount of money they are talking about spending. And it's not even for our protection. Say I were to build a house and hired the government to build it. It would cost me three times more, take three times longer, and in the end it would not be the house I wanted because they know what is best for me. Please tell me why I want government for my health care provider, my retirement advisor, my teacher, and........my god.

Why do so many people look to government to fix things. It has never fixed or helped me with any challenge in my life. Growth comes from within us, does it not? Whenever I get myself into an unwanted situation and have looked outward, the situation worsened. When I look inward it gets better. Please, would someone explain why government is the answer to any of our problems.

It can be accurate. However, personal feelings, beliefs, and emotion throw off results. Very interesting thing to study. A friend and I would do this as he would put something in my hand as my eyes were closed. This is so I would not have an opinion about the subject. Then he would ask if this was good for me. We found it to be surprisingly accurate. Coincidental maybe....fun and interesting, yes.

I agree with Bill W..... AA does not tell you to not drink. It simply show's you how you can live.....if you are willing and work at it. Go to a meeting and find out for yourself. There are open meetings for people who are curious and want to learn more about the 12 step program. IMO This sounds better than jumping into psychedelics.
