@SQAAD Haha, it certainly will come, but you probably won’t appreciate it the way you might hope you would. Many billionaires are unhappy, stressed out and never stop working. And they always want more. Which is why they got to where they’re at. It may sound silly, but I want my “next” life to be the life of one of these aliens flying around in the flying saucers. They gotta have a super profound existence. Who knows what kind of states of consciousness they can experience.

@SQAAD It’ll be alright. You’ll forget this life and the fact that you live all lives once you enter the next, so you won’t be stressed out about it. Until you figure all this stuff out again, that is. ;P

I’m not going to give you some cryptic answer. The short answer is: Yes. But more accurate then to say you are going to live their lives is that you already have lived their lives, you are going to live their lives and you already are living their lives. You are Infinite Consciousness, and Infinite consciousness manifests all things at once in the Eternal Now. You are the present moment itself which is infinite and eternal and so every possible thing that can be experienced is being experienced Now.

For me, prayer is simply connecting with Love and the beauty of what is. And in that process, I am sort of consulting with my “higher self”, if you will, to advise me on what is the best thing to do in any particular situation. Even if the answer is that there is nothing I can do and I just have to find a way to make peace with what’s going on within myself. I’ll find the beauty in it.

Oh these silly scientists. It’s funny how some of the “smartest” people can say some of the least true things.

Here’s a great example of the typical uniform NDE. One of my favorites. To me, the most fascinating part is what people report when they enter “the light.”

All I can tell you for sure is that it will never stop being Now. And since you are the Now, you will never stop existing. What exactly is experienced at the point of bodily death, who knows… ? Perhaps these reported Near Death Experiences can give us a clue. If you haven’t already, you should look into the phenomenon. It’s utterly fascinating.

Sounds like it could be interesting. I grew up in that kind of environment, so it’d be pretty familiar to me, but for someone who did not grow up in that environment, it could be an experience. You could just do it for shits and giggles.

You have a better chance of getting in a car accident that will cause long term injury. Knowing this, should we not use our cars and just ride bicycles everywhere? Or hell, you’re even more likely to get a long term injury riding a bike, so maybe we should just walk everywhere. The vast VAST majority of people who take psychedelics do not develop schizophrenia or any other mental health issues. In fact, if anything, they have found that psychedelic users are actually less likely to have any mental disorders. Not to downplay the dangers of psychedelics, but we need to access risk factors in a more sober way than just saying “You have some measurable risk of something bad happening, so don’t do it!”… okay, by that logic, we just shouldn’t take any risks doing anything. You have a risk of getting shot when you walk out your front door. Guess you should never leave your house.

Love Alan Watts to death, but this is so silly. Of course as a scientist, you don’t keep your eyes glued to the telescope or microscope, but you don’t just simply stop using them all together and throw them away after you make observations. You keep using them periodically to gain more data.

In order for God to be God, or Infinity to be Infinity, it must manifest the infinite amount of finitudes within itself. Your life being one of those. Otherwise, how could it be truly infinite? You might as well ask, “why can’t a square be a circle?” God is Love. Love creates and accepts absolutely everything by it’s very nature.

There is no you to die in the first place. In a sense, you were never even alive. ? To think that you can die is to misidentify yourself as the body/ego. If you properly identify yourself as Consciousness itself, then you should understand that, by definition, you cannot stop existing. Consciousness cannot stop being consciousness. You cannot experience non-experience. There is no such thing as non-existence. Whether you like it or not, you’re in it for the long haul. ?

Trying to say that there can be an object without a subject is about as dumb as saying that there can be up without down.

@Inliytened1 But the infinite includes within it every finitude, does it not? Wouldn’t that be to limit infinity to say that it cannot know the finite?

If your reality was fluid like a dream where everything was changing and morphing all the time with no real patterns or consistency, you would have no way to ground your being. In order to form an ego and a sense of reality, there must be consistency, solidity, patterns, and “rules”. And so you decided to dream up this universe where you can try to figure all this shit out.

This waking dream only seems dense because you haven’t woken up from it yet. ;P

@Leo Gura It’s definitely a touchy subject for many, so I understand your need to prepare more before tackling it. But the sooner you record it, the sooner people will stop creating these solipsism threads. Or who knows, maybe it will make it even worse.
