  1. @Superfluo I generally agree with the following posts, they have good advice. For me though, I hate DOMS (damage onset muscle soreness), and generally any program that has 3x days per week and above, and high volume(number of sets and number of reps) are more detrimental to other parts of my life. I actually find that 3x, and sometimes 2x or 1x per week, with low volume and higher intensity, is enough stimulation for me, as I'm not aiming for body building physic, bulking muscles, or even strongmen physic. My aim is slightly leaner body, with explosive speed and power, so it's mostly isometrics for different muscle groups and walking for me. I relatively maintain my body weight while getting stronger and faster. And a bit of martial arts training as well, and that's about it.
  2. @Hardkill You mean, like realized this this hour? Or yesterday, or when is it that you realized this insight? Are we talking about IRL, or in the internet? Normally you wouldn't shoot those you agree and support for pro gun rights. Why should Conservatives and Rebublicans be worried? That part of their demographic voters would attack them...for what? Why would you laugh at those who would get shot at?
  3. @Jowblob I guess very few people are that lucky to be born with such capabilities. Most would probably struggle teaining those capacities unless you can find other ways to leverage more.
  4. @ZenAlex No. Remain in America. You don't realise how lucky you really are growing up in the USA. Anywhere else, you'd suffer so much more.
  5. Update: I have improved much better with automatic writing and drawing, and have had Crysty draw out some patterns that are hard to explain, other than she drew in rhythm to something.
  6. This is also what Osho did a few times to famous saints and legends, and when asked why, he said and I paraphrase 'I do that because in your head they are perfect, forgetting they were humans too'.
  7. @shallotsometimes If you don't like his videos popping up on you feed, you can always unsubscribe and click not interested or don't recommend.
  8. Also, I'm against very simplistic nit picking and attack. I really believe, that if you had gone through their upbringing, in their body and mind, faced with the exact challenges, it's very likely that you would be exactly lkke Jordan Peterson, and Ben Shapiro, living life the way they have been, getting nit picked on by a bunch of people in an internet forum, or some other group, who actually have zero clue as to what's it like living as you, and how hard life is was for you.
  9. This all is heavily based on your stage of development, cognitive and moral development, personality typing, states of consciousness, life experiences and other lines of development. There's never really a one size fits all, complete good guy or bad guy. At any point in your life, at any point in your upbringing, at any point when some failures have traumatised you, at any of thses lines of development would get effefted and be either slowed, or regression sets in. Transformational dilemma is a real obstacle to transitioning up the spiral and actually be anle to share and hold those values from above. On the topic of Intelligence, it is multifaceted, rather than linear, mathematical or linguistic at first. There are many other forms of intelligence like bodily, spatial, musical, natural(plant knowledge), existential, philosophical, interpersonal, and interpersonal intelligence. It is possible to have varying degrees of intelligence at any one of these types, so I'm rather hesitant to label JP or Ben Shapiro as simply evil or dumb, as they have reasonably high level of logical, mathematical and linguistic intelligence but lower degrees of intelligence in other areas of their brains. Speaking of brains, there's also such a thing as neuro divergence, meaning that even if each person's brain is overall very similar in shape, any neural pathways more active is what makes them more unique than other types of brains. The brian of Ben Shapiro is uniquely his own, versus the brain of Eminem's, versus the brain of a fearful conservative, and so on. On this basis, simply wishing them away as evil is wrong. They have bad politics, but don't let that take away from that their life shapes what they are. There is such a thing as life shaping who you are, especially when you are very young!
  10. @zurew That's amazing, to think decriminalization of drugs would have such positive effects. I guess we all should reduce or abolish all criminalization, and see what happens. So counter intuitive.
  11. @Devin What do you mean when you say drugs? Do you mean hard core drugs like cocaine and heroin, or psychedelics like psilocybin mushrooms? Do you mean synthetic drugs, like methamphetamine or LSD?
  12. @SamC As the saying goes, it's all smoke and mirrors.
  13. I miss the original coke bottles, such a nice design too. And flavour.
  14. @Mindful Bum Ah okay, I understand your view much more. So, to further explain myself about what I think of the video and give a fairer take, what I do like about the video, is that Leo has attempted to draw the line on the sand, on where he stands and where his work stands in relation to those suffering from mental health issues, and isn't an exact repeat in what he said in the video on the dangers of spirituality as he did this a few times before. What I do think he can improve on in his rhetoric here, is more distinctly seperate the use of the words those suffering from 'mental health issues', from those with 'mental disorders', from those with 'mental illness', and those with cognitive function/dysfunctional challenges. Of course, as he said in the video, he is not an expert in the mental health and mental disorders field, and it does show in the video where at times it was better to use mental disorders instead of mental health or mental illness. This, in fact, is good to know to those who are suffering from some mental health issue like depression, short to chronic, or grief or very strong negative emotions, or some other ailment of the mind that affects one's state of being, versus those who have mental disorders like schizophrenia, Borderline personality disorder, bi-polar disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, multiple personality disorder, hyper mania, because Leo is ill equipped to dealing with such cases and so is Actualized.org. Those suffering from mental health issues and have mental disorders, must seek professional help from experts who have both the theory and experience dealing with such cases, like therapists or psychologists. Now, when it comes to mental health related to strong negative emotions, there's a litle bit of leeway here that I give, because a few moderators here do provide emotional support to those going through an emotional based mental health issue, like grief for example, and on top of that they do encourage the person suffering to seek professional help if possible. Being here, doing personal development work, assumes a certain range of mental health and stability, and, to me, the lower ranges is when you have the mild disorders, or when you have mild mental health issues, that doing basic self help from here or some other place is probably ok to do, and probably ok to do other traditional spiritual practices like meditation, contemplation, concentration exercises etc, all assuming responsible use and safe use. It's already one of my rules being here, for myself, that as soon as I feel verg strong negative emotions, I stop, take a break, and have the number ready to speak to a professional if I need, or go and talk to a person I know and trust that can provide emotional support. This is rare to me as I can process strong emotions and melt it off of me through mindfulness though, so listen to what you're capable of managing in this work is probably the best thing anyone can do in this work. About the bit when he said it's dramatic if he was friends or is living with those suffering from mental health issues, yes I agree it was a bit of a strange wording, again from not making the language more distinct here, so I'll assume two possibilities: he's talking about those suffering from mental health issues like strong negative emotions, and those who have mental disorders. I can understand, in both cases, if what he meant to say, was that it's ABNORMALLY STRESSFUL. I think that's a much better wording here, because I've seen some people, of both cases in different parts of my life, and the situations, I can definitely say the most consistent factor was higher stress from dealing with people who have states of strong negative emotions, and who have radically different cognitive patterns than the normal person, that it is more stressful to try to manage either case, almost comparable to a parent taking care of a child with one of those mentak disorders, it's far more stressful. I think that was what he really meant to say, which I can see how that does lead to increase in drama. It's just that I hold meanings differently when I hear the word 'drama', as in that's usually a trait of tv shows or movies or theatres and probably most people hold similar meanings when they think of drama.
  15. @Devin I would imagine chaotic at first, but other time regulations would be passed, enforced, and soon enough society could manage teaching the theory and safe practices of psychedelics, assuming you mean psychedelics.
  16. @Thought Art A few questions for context(be free to be very specific, or general in answering): What values do you hold for yourself, and in society? Where do you politically lean towards? Are you religious, if yes, which ones did you grow up under? When you think about a person in your mind, what forms do the thoughts take? Images? Words? Sounds? Physical feelings? When you change the person in question to a person you hate, how does your thinking shift? When you change the person into one you really love, what changes in your thinking? When you think about yourself, what types of thoughts come to mind? When you think about your personal history, and think about all the birthdays you've had, what does the timeline look to you? Where are you when viewing your timeline? If birthdays are harder to view, choose another event that's very consistently done by you, every year or month. What do you do currently for a living? How's your financial situation? What is your relationships like in the family? If you're dating or in a bf/gf relationship, what is that like? What is your fitness like, body composition and exercise program? What is your health like, your diet, nutrition, and sleep schedule and naps? What is your home environment like, as in is your house generally messy or tiddy? Is it big or small? Do you intentionally implement a purpose for each room/area, or do you improvise with the living spaces? Do you have house plants, or a front/back yard with gardens? Besides music, do you have other hobbies and interests? Besides rock and rock, do you listen to other music genres? Who are your role models you look up to generally, for inspiration in life? Who are your role models you look up to, in music?
  17. This is the video from the blog: After watching that video, I felt a bit off with the parts that covered the pandemic, like they have had 2-3 years of a gap, and while they get say what they want to say, pro to anti vax points, at the end of it, I felt like what they're missing was the shear urgency to vaccinate against a very infectious virus that has a 50/50 chance of killing you through lung damage and heart failure, at a time in that 3-6 month period, where we really didn't know the full dangers of such a virus, and how truly dangerous it is getting it in your system. So to me, vaccination against it was non-negotiable, as I'm lucky enough to perceive it's danger. I don't know why they would beat around the bush, when it's clearly obvious to me the greater evil is the refusal to vaccinate at least once against this virus, especially at a time when we had little info to exactly how bad the virus is, the decision to make vaccines on it, and to get vaccinated, was a no brainer, at least to me. Am I wrong or am I missing something here, like due to information partiality we still have to make decisions, right? The later parts I think and feel a bit better, covers information ecology and ways of misinformation. Again, to relate this to the pandemic, there was a bit misinformation from China it the start, the cover up, and a little bit from the USA side, with Trump down playing the potential danger of this virus. What are your guys thoughts about this podcast?
  18. @Carl-Richard Okay, I see my mistake, I was briefly responding at that other user for joking at me, I'm stop that and stick to OP topic.
  19. My best friend was also there at the time I got that rejected, and laughed at me for that situation, because she found it very funny how I'm called a devil's son, but the woman rejecting me was wearing lots of black and red colours as her fashion.
  20. @Vercingetorix Don't worry about it. One time I cold approached a woman in the street one afternoon, and she so coldly rejected me that she could have frozen hell twice over, calling me something along the lines of a bastard's son and the spawn of hell itself. Yikes, but luckily I reframed from that and forever decide to dress a little bit nicer. A friend of my wasn't lucky, as he ended up solo approaching, fighting the woman's BF he didn't noticed before cold approaching one time.
  21. @Carl-Richard For me lately, the best type of musical practice and improvisation, is free style rapping, about any topic, and without any musical beats, acapella. It's very practical to do it this way for me, at any point in the day when you have 5-10 minutes to either beat box or free style rap acapella, because there's little excuses of not doing it. Then, overtime, you can design constraints in your music practices, like for me it's maybe to internal rhyme every line possible, do doubles or triples every line, or to rhyme with one theme only, if it's say about games it's words closely associated to games only. Or to beat box while free styling, or to finally include musical instruments, and so on. No clear purpose as to why I lately do this, I just do it as my latest hobby.
  22. I guess at the end of the day, be grateful you are not JP with those types of shadows, although the exchange of not being able to relate to JP, that is you won't understand what he had to go through in his life, those parts not accessible in the public eye. However, if you were JP, you would not be you and lead what life you would have led, so there's that trade off.
  23. @Javfly33 A few questions: What do you want from your dating/relationships with women? What do you want from this perspective of saintly women? Do you want to get rid of it, or what? Okay, so you've discovered that women are attracted to guys exhibiting Alpha like traits, like confidence, edginess, playfulness ect...So, do you want to develop yourself to exhibit those traits, or not? If yes, why? If not, why? Okay, so do you want to become stronger? Forget what advanced shit you've learned, what's the basics telling you? Tell me your plan for becoming a more attractable guy, if that's what you really want.
