@DocWatts How do we know that, in celebrating a human being's downfall, that that is in and of itself evil, that that evil is what makes us just as evil as the evil person we are gloating about? This is just like this thought experiment. I killed 1 person in a room of ten murderers. How many murderers remain? 10 still, because by my act of killing one murderer I also become a murderer too, therefore replacing the killed murderer with myself as the new murderer. So, when I am gloating of a human being's downfall, I also become the person I'm gloating by me gloating and denying and disowning the ego self that has that person's quality and state. Also, gloating is taking pleasure in a person's downfall, fetishizing and making possible developing sadism within the gloating person, so there's that! If it's not from a deep root of jealousy and envy, it's pleasure from a person's suffering or even pleasure from my own suffering. These states do not scale up well to the collective level, when it's not just one person gloating but more and more join in on gloating, therefore adding more justification and reasonability to keep on hating, demonizing and kicking other people down.

@Nilsi I agree, at this point it's mostly a matter of bias and preference which country you wish to vacation or even live in. For me, I'd live in Germany due to the metaphysics and historical progress, and I'd likely be a philosopher or pundit there. I'd also do vacations in France, but living there isn't to my liking. I think the hotdog festivals in Germany would be why I'd go there, plenty of pork, chicken, cow, or other types of sausages to eat and beers to drink, and holiday to France for just the poutines and PUA maybe, easier because French people are mostly liaise faire sexually speaking.

@Raze Mainly to live in better countries. Immigrants are, based on differences with Spiral Dynamics stages of development, cognitive and moral development, personality types, ego development, states of consciousness, life experiences and other lines of development, and ideological upbringing, are mostly, compared to 1st world democracies, live in 3rd world authoritarian regimes and generally less developed societies which over time gets harder, so they chose to migrate to another better environment that fits their needs for themselves and their children.

@Epikur Oh man, an even more savage bad faith answer would be, assuming the UN spokesperson is the USA representative here, would be, if the interviewer pushes this line of questioning: "Because Syria holds geopolitical power and resources such as more oil deposits and minerals, such that if the USA did not occupy parts of Syria, that would leave other countries such as China and Russia opportunity to occupy Syria first with their military. And even Iraq. So, Reporter, would you rather have Russia or China, Authoritarian regimes and with little humanitarian laws, occupy Syria or even Iraq instead of the USA, a 1st world democracy, and more developed country that upholds liberal values more so compared to Russia/China?". I would probably still be fired or reprimanded by my seniors in the UN whether I stumble my responses, or pushed back aggressively, but I'd at least won't go down without fighting and lashing back at the reporter for asking a question and attacking me like that.

The real answer to the question of whether America's military occupation of Syria is illegal or not, is 'yes, technically it's conditional illegal occupation, as a geopolitical and geo power play towards China and Russia, as well as a part to fight against terrorism'. @hoodrow trillson You're right, it's pretty horrifying how Tik Tok has damaged and proliferated many false and distorted ideologies out there, far quicker than any other app, it certainly has greater brainwashing capacities. Also, Tik Tok did help a little bit with the voting against the Republicans and Trump, but because it could do so any political party can amass and utilize Tik Tok to gain quick following and ramp up votes for any agenda they want. Unideal situation for me is this thing is still in the market, even with much more restrictions. Ideally this has to go away, the negatives are building up.

Although Destiny's take here is a bit biased and self preferential. It is because due to the differences in Spiral Dynamics stage of development, cognitive and moral development, personality types and traits, life experiences, other lines of development in areas of life, and different ideological indoctrinations from upbringing. Also, Sam and Destiny had a debate in the past and it was pretty contentious, which may have skewed his reaction here to be a bit more biased against Sam. Also, Destiny is a staunch capitalist and Nihilist Determinist, so there's that worldview filtering and interpreting things. Now, as much as I lately don't like Destiny as he's a very manipulative person in his sex and work relationships, he's technically right here in terms of Sam's argument in this podcast. Again, I do think that he's smoke screening here, hiding this behind logic, debate and arguments, when really he hated paying higher taxes in California LOL.
