This is not practical for me. Maybe the original cause was the big bang some 14 billion years ago. -

There definitely isn't one issue. Different reasons. I can only guess. For example, if I my mother considered abortion when she was pregnant with me it could make me fear woman. Then when my girlfriend asks me to do some balance sheets, my unconsciousness would transfer that fear to the job. What good it'll be for me to know the reason ? I cannot change the past where reasons hide, but I could work with current emotions if I could focus on them. -

Hi, everyone ! I have reached visible success with my strongest negative emotions fear and anger. These were nasty, but relatively easy to deal with cause they was so strong. Now I started to see that I always feel guilty for no reason. This is much more subtle emotion, hard to be aware of, hiding in the background, but poisoning my life nevertheless. I conquered anger by just observing it and that was easy, it didn't hide. But with guilt it's different, when I look at it, it hides but continues to live in the background. I worked with fear by doing what I was afraid of, but that doesn't work with guilt. Could it be that I just need to rise my consciousness level so that I can observe guilt easy ? Or is there some other method ?

@MIA.RIVELI see a beggar and feel guilty for him. What is the reason ?

Is there some exercises to develop self governance ? Leo said that only 1% of people have it, but it's in USA. Where I live the percentage is even less. I lived in Soviet Union for a long time and self governance wasn't supported to put it mildly. So all my life I felt a strong need for someone who tells me what to do and control me regularly. I hate this, but I also cannot function without this. Any suggestions ?

@Leo Gura Sure I don't wanna be like him not even close. But some of his traits I think was useful. 1) He was always deciding what to do by himself, not waiting when some boss tells him what to do. 2) He was always taking action after he has made a decision. Isn't that self governance needed to manage business ?

I just looked "Breaking Bad" for second time an Walter is an example of man who has abundant self governance. Could it be that criminals have more self governance than law abiding people ?

OK, I don't know if this was published here, but it seems to me that not. So there is this young monk in monastery and he sees that his neighbor are smoking. "I asked our guru if I can smoke while I am meditating and he said no", he says reproachfully. "I asked our guru if I can meditate while I am smoking and he said yes" -

Remembered an old joke about affirmations. The hedgehog is walking through the forest and chanting: "I am very strong, tough and mighty". Then he collides with bear who kicks him sending him deep into bushes. Hedgehog raises to his feet and resumes chanting: "I am very strong, tough and mighty, but light". -
I had a mathematics teacher long ago. He used to give us tricky trigonometry problems and when nobody has an idea where to start he would say: "If you don't know what to do, do something !"

My recipe: 1) Jogging / walking (every other day for 30 minutes) 2) meditation (starting with 5 minutes a day) Hope this will raise your awareness a little bit and then you will be ready to move further.

@abrakamowse I came from very deep shit and I noticed, that advanced people doesn't understand "low level people". Like that guy who give advice to unhappy people "if you wanna be happy, just be it !" Or that girl who advised poor people to eat cakes if they can't get enough bread. So I think, each level need different approach to solve it's problems. Even me myself, when I resolve some issues that bothered me, later I can't understand what was the all the fuss about ?

I just can't hold in how much this resonates in me. No one is perfect or almighty or controlling everything. Even God would find it boring if he could control everything.

OK, said Jinn, third wish. Why third, thought average Joe, but who cares ? "I wanna be enlightened !" OK, said jinn, "Done". Btw, that was your first wish too, but you don't remember that because your second wish was "I want to all be back just like it was before !" -
@zasa joey I have been in situation like you. It is rather deep shit and it will not bee easy to get out of it. It will be hard and scary, but I doubt that there is easy way. I remember sitting, trembling with fear and wishing I was dead. But there were two fears for me: 1) fear of what I think I should do, 2) fear of my torturer (friends in your your case) . These two fears squeezed me from opposite sides and I have no escape. Then (when these two fears seemed to crash me like vice) I confronted smallest of them (fear to do what I thought I should do). And I went through this fear and saw that it was empty air. Nothing. My imagination. Bullshit. But this was my other fear that forced me to go through that thin air. I wouldn't be able to do this without help of fear from my torturer. People like me (and probably you) are not able to do the necessary job without inducement. Imagine that your friends would treat you with love, sympathy, acceptance. You would happily live further in your shit and blame everything and everyone for your situation. Your friends are such assholes with a reason. I don't recommend to kill them Look at what you know you should do but are afraid to do. Go through that fear. Or wait until your friends will push you through this (as I've done). And then you will say "thank you" to them. I don't know if meditation will help you. For me meditation showed what an asshole I am (I thought I am nice guy) and in what deep shit I am sitting. One of my best friends tried meditation and committed suicide after seeing what horror is inside him. Take care !

Beer is the proof that universe loves us. I don't know is second will be understandable in English, but I'll try: Some gets enlightened after 40, but others only after 100 grams. -
Yes, that would be interesting. But also time consuming, to get all stats. Seems like building another Google of Actualization And another BIG question: can it be monetized ?

OK, I do not agree that tweaks to "mechanics" of your website are harder to make when you have more content or that ease of use / look of website are more important then content. If I was to build review site, I'd try to invent some "knowledge aggregation engine" which would scan web for all reviews and make aggregated (summary) review for every item. And i would definitely test how many review requests of every kind are made and how many actual reviews are out there for every request. Some times there are only product owners reviews available disguised as real peoples reviews, these can be good niches to target if anyone would be interested in product. But that's just my way of thinking, sure you can do it your way. Could you give us links to your first 10 or so pages ?

I didn't understand what the first question was about, so I'll try to answer the second one which was "any feedback at all." My impression is that this site is empty oh shit, sorry, that if you plan to be successful with that type of site you'll had to do one of two: 1) find the niche where competition is very low, but demand for information is very high (clearly no self help) 2) put into your site so much high quality content that you will rank higher then number 10 in search engines for majority of requests. If you know another plan, please tell us.

I find them useful But that's out of scope of this discussion.

I'm more interested in mastering something that is useful and where progress can be measured easy.

@Richard Alpert @J. M. Wigglesworth thanks for sharing your perspective ! Yes, it's like all competitive sports, if you feel guilty about loser, then better do not play at all. Seems like guilt has deep roots in me, one more area to clear out. As for my plans, they don't include making poker my only or even main source of income. I can allow myself to play safe and small, just at the skill level where I can be consistent winner and advance slowly. I played 1.5 years, starting with freerolls, bet when I started to earn some money I quit. I'm not really sure why. Now I'm considering if to play again. I play online, so no negative casino side effects.

@Yukise99 Thank you, but that was not the question.
