Agreed. Anthony Williams reeks of New Age quackery. But he sure is making a lot of $$ nonetheless. @Leo Gura

@Adam M But you don't recommend avoiding eggs, dairy, wheat and other pathogen-feeding foods for all people? Only those who are sick?
-
Would you recommend celery juice to a perfectly healthy person? @Adam M
-
@Adam M That's a reasonable thing to say. It's good to not have absolutist beliefs about diet except for the obvious offenders like ultra processed food.
-
so for people who are perfectly healthy, can they not just eat a whole foods diet that includes eggs for example and be fine? @Adam M
-
a job that has not been done. @Princess Arabia
-
well if adam hasn't rigorously tested the claims in the book in a scientific manner, then obviously that's the only reason. @Princess Arabia
-
that line of thinking is the trap I'm talking about @Princess Arabia
-
you don't think you've fallen into that trap? @Adam M
-
So I guess we'll now believe anyone who claims themselves to be "spiritual" @mavelezm

@Adam M I admit that I haven't familiarized myself with the Medical Medium diet, but it seems obvious to me that you wouldn't be promoting his diet if it didn't personally work for you. Which tells me that the whole basis for your belief in the medical medium diet is anecdotal, and not based off rigorous scientific proof. And that's fine. I have my own beliefs about diet to, but at least I recognize them as beliefs and am aware that I could very well be misguided. You seem to be very confident about everything Anthony Williams has to say, which is concerning to me. The only reason why you came to this realization is because of your own personal results testing his theories as a hypothesis in your own immediate experience. But just because it's worked for you, doesn't mean it'll work for others. And just because it's worked for others, doesn't mean his theories are true. And if something is working for you, it's easy to fall into the trap of confirmation bias, wherein you read the theory behind the diet and take it on as blind faith simply because it works, which from my perspective is the trap you have fallen into. Now to give you credit, one of the world's greatest athletes is fond of lemon and celery juice.

You mean I can't blindly trust a guy because he claims to channel his information from source?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! @aurum

@Adam M The only reason you believe the Medical Medium diet works is because it’s worked for you and others. But personal experiences aren’t solid evidence. That’s why we rely on clinical studies to prove something works, not just stories. If the diet didn’t work for you, you probably wouldn’t be pushing it as a cure-all. That makes it clear you haven’t really put the claims to the test. You’re basing everything on your own results, and because it worked for you, you assume the claims must be true and so it must work for everyone. But that’s a big leap and certainly not a rigorous one.

Imagine if both of Trump's attempted assassins were Haitain immigrants. I would expect mass deportation efforts on behalf of Trump from just that alone.

How do you feel about Lex entertaining a conversation with Donald Trump? He's spoken with guys like Sam Harris who have clearly laid out the issues with Trump. I'm not sure how he feels about him, but clearly not bad enough to not sit down and talk with him. I know @Leo Gura would never do this even if he had the opportunity to. At 29:44, Donald Trump says "Truth is very powerful". I think at that moment Leo would struggle to restrain himself.

@Leo Gura What's the value of meditation if you're not a genetic freak? At best, it'll improve the quality of your state of mind but by no means will it radically expand your consciousness. I'm still anticipating a video from you comparing meditation to psychedelics. -

@Leo Gura In a way, I respect people like Sadhguru who are able to have these spiritual realizations without psychedelics. That to me is truly a special person. -

The victim felt guilty after he was convicted that she went on to self harm. This tells you that there was some level of consent even though she was underaged. the UK government defines any sexual act with someone underaged as rape. So by their definition, he’s a rapist. But I’m not sure I would agree with that. -
@Leo Gura Considering that most haven't tried psychedelics, I find it hard to believe that 60 percent of Americans have had a non-dual experience, let alone a non-dual experience lasting anywhere from an hour up to a day. And Ken Wilber claims to be in this state quite a bit, but what's the elephant in the room? His genetics, which most people don't have. Ken Wilber:

@Leo Gura despite not being relevant to the pursuit of truth, do you still enjoy academic philosophy? like would you want to take an academic philosophy course just for the fun of it if you could today?
-
what primarily motivates these philosophers? do they just enjoy jerking off using their mind, or do they believe that they are pursuing truth itself? @Leo Gura
-
@Leo Gura do you agree that studies have demonstrated that sleeping around leads to more difficulty in being faithful in long term relationships generally speaking?
-
@Leo Gura do you really think this is necessary to have a successful relationship? I mean haven’t studies demonstrated that those with higher body counts tend to be less faithful in relationships?
-
yea but to what degree is the question? @What Am I

@Leo Gura I’m beginning to think that without experiencing a breakthrough with 5-MeO-DMT, one can’t fully grasp the potential of consciousness. This applies even to spiritual gurus who, thanks to exceptional genetics, have achieved a certain level of spiritual realization. But without a 5-MeO breakthrough, does that realization even compare? Personally, I don’t consider my everyday state of consciousness to be different from the average person’s. And certainly not on the level of Peter Ralston's. But I’ve experienced deep breakthroughs on 5-MeO-DMT—states of consciousness that no amount of meditation can reach, regardless of genetic gifts. So, yes, I feel confident in saying that I’ve been in more radical states than even Peter Ralston/Sadhguru/Osho/Ken Wilber/Rupert Spira/Mooji, as arrogant as that may sound. And I know this because they haven't broken through on the "toad juice". It's really just that simple.
