  1. Mushrooms are good for that. LSD lasts a long time so it can suck if you're dealing with a lot of heavy shit. Mushrooms are shorter, but the emotional processing is more intense in my experience. But yeah, ditto what Leo said.
  2. I don't do mdma much but I find it nice to take it when I come down from an LSD trip. It's super nice. I find it wasteful to take both at the same time, the mdma just overpowers the LSD. I wouldn't worry about the seratonin stuff unless you struggle with depression. The comedown is kinda lame and you can feel like shit the first couple of days after. MDMA is a special treat but it is just recreational. Don't believe the nonsense about it having spiritual significance. It's popular with party kids for a reason.
  3. All I can really say is that I understand why someone would act the way that he did. I don't claim to be right or know what's best. We're both have biases and I see nothing wrong with that
  4. That's just an interpretation of the facts
  5. Yep. Had one for years. Still expensive as fuck. I've been dealing with a serious health condition for 12 years. There are different types of people aren't there? The kind that don't want to pay taxes to help others. The kind that have been brainwashed into believing that social programs are a bad thing. The kind that don't want dems to take their guns. Etc. You can't expect everyone to be aware of their own biases or blind spots or to have emotional intelligence. We live in an unconscious society riddled with propaganda that values profits over people. I'm not saying anything is right or wrong. All I am saying is that I understand because of where our society is at right now. I don't support Luigi. Like I said, I understand the anger and frustration that comes with dealing with health issues and the exploitation by the healthcare system. Blue Shield of CA was my provider from 2015 to 2023 (the years that I was able to afford it). Thank god my work pays for my insurance now. In 2023 I was paying over $600 per month for mid grade health coverage. I was an expensive buyer. Even they denied me a brain scan when I was barely able to function. I am very lucky to be alive.
  6. @Elliott Until we root out corruption in the government and replace it with a system for the people I won't be mad at the occasional pitch fork uprising. Not an effective long term solution but it's one way to raise awareness.
  7. I don't think they've lost their minds. People are just fucking over it. You can only exploit people for so long before they rise up and express outrage. I'm not saying it's a great strategy but what else would you expect from people who have suffered immensely or have lost loved ones to greed and neglect?
  8. I'm reading this now. The author backs what was written in the guardian article that you posted.
  9. @MsNobody I can't even deal with conservative friends or family much less in the dating arena. I've lived all over, finally found what works best for me. I only wished I moved to Portland sooner before the cost of living went sky high.
  10. Anyone located in Portland? I'm a 44 year old male. Interests are politics, meditation, psychedelics, health. Might be interested in meeting up with someone like minded.
  11. Yeah, something like this: https://lucid.substack.com/p/states-of-emergency-a-favorite-autocratic
  12. Maybe I've been missing the memos, but why aren't we hearing about protests? I live in a politically active area, and I heard that there was a protest on Monday, but that was the extent of it. Is the media keeping these events under wraps? This is concerning. I am also concerned about how Trump is going to react to protests that get "out of control". I think he's going to use this as an opportunity to expand his targets, deeming citizens enemies of the state or something like that. Or stating that protesters are planning a coup or something ridiculous. Thoughts?
  13. Yeah, she seems to be on the same page. Timothy and Heather follow her on Blue Sky.
  14. Has anyone else here read any of her books? I've been wanting to connect with other people who have the same affinity. Other that I've been digging into are Timothy Snyder and Heather Cox Richardson. Sarah's space on substack is excellent. I'd recommend this post before checking out her other articles: https://sarahkendzior.substack.com/p/your-questions-answered-trump-term Sarah is a journalist that specializes in authoritarianism and basically predicted the attempted coup in 2020. She's continued to make accurate predictions since then and I've been gobbling up all the she has to write. Her articles are no longer behind a paywall because we are in a time of crisis. Timothy Snyder wrote On Tyranny which basically explains what is happening and what is going to happen. I'd highly recommend his book trying to make sense of things right now. You can read it in less than two hours, you are doing yourself a disservice by not reading it. Here's one of Heather's articles which is also another excellent journalist to keep an eye on: https://heathercoxrichardson.substack.com/p/february-9-2025?r=6p451&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web&triedRedirect=true Curious to hear any thoughts.
  15. I'm going to bump this thread. Sarah, Timothy, and Heather called this shit. They've been warning us for years. It is now happening. This might prepare you for what's next. Take heed.
  16. Trump issues new executive order: Only the president can speak for β€œwhat the law is” https://bsky.app/profile/adamparkhomenko.bsky.social/post/3liimzjd2hs2m
  17. I used to think that. It does wake up our representatives. Gets them off their asses.
  18. I fear that people are indeed afraid to mobilize. This is the shock and awe stage of a regime change. It seems to be working. Has anyone read On Tyranny yet?
  19. Ok, they reference different independent agencies. That article is fucking nasty, though. Damn.
  20. I think the "economy is great" part is how China was lifted out of poverty before becoming a super power. Their strategy there was patient, and strategic. Well done. I hear that it's most recently in decline but I'm not sure how true that is.
