  1. When reading his books I'm underlying a whole lot because he makes really great points. And then I read that Florida is way higher on the scale than California (he ranks it as the lowest state in terms of consciousness) He's definitely biased towards conservatism. But when it comes to epistemology and spirituality in general he's quite wise.
  2. By the way Warnock will be the first black senator in the state and the first democratic senator in about 20 years
  3. Yeah indeed, although it took my entire life to get to that point That's also why I say she's not completely Blue at this point. But I just found the conversation interesting because I realized there was nothing I could do to change her mind. So I shared this as a personal example for that reason. And I really see it more as healthy Blue because she's open to me finding my own way (which has gotten me to the freedom I have today) but yet she still cannot grasp that "seeking truth" is of higher value than being a good Christian.
  4. Conversation I had with my mom Mom: I'm happy you're trying to find your own way, but I really wish you were a Christian. Me: Would you not much rather have me seek the truth? Mom: I should have read you from the Bible more when you were young. Me: So you would much rather have me become a Christian than seek the truth? Mom: Jesus Christ is the truth. What do you think it is? Me: I don't know. I'm seeking it. Mom: Okay. But I really wish you were a Chrisitian. She's actually more like Stage Orange with a tiny bit of Green. But religious conversations really show her blueness. I've actually had many conversations about religion with her over the years but I've learned that when people have had a certain worldview their entire lives it's nearly impossible for them to change it.
  5. I watched some progressive channels react to this, but wanted to share it because of how absurd this is. It's almost as if PragerU is trying to attract white suppremacists.
  6. @Vrubel You are correct. Racism was the norm back then. But we should not ever praise the statues quo. We should praise the ones who dared to challenge it (in the name of progress and love only of course) So yeah, John Brown would be the hero who deserves the statue. And yes the video is historically accurate. But remember it's trying to convey an argument as to why he deserves a statue, and then does the opposite. And they also frame someone like John Brown as a radical abolitionist, whilst appearantly praising the person who killed him. PragerU has shown their true colors once again.
  7. Humanity survived the Ice Age ffs And that was when we were still small in numbers and had competition from Neanderthals
  8. https://spiraldynamics.net You can read he supported the "GOP candidate" here on the homepage. That's Trump.
  9. Aren't where psychedelics can take you still limited by your hardware? I don't think their potential is unlimited. But if I'm wrong I wonder why.
  10. Try microdosing LSD or edibles weed
  11. The Republican Jesus But seriously, that laywer should be prosecuted
  12. Interesting video about how the color blue did not exist for many ancient cultures.
  13. @Max_V I'm a bit conflicted on sourcing too. We don't have really good online, independent progressive news networks like the US has. I mostly get my news from NOS and Nu.nl. Other than that Lubach's show is pretty good but mostly for comedy (although that show is ending soon).
  14. Good news if you live in The Netherlands! We just have one less far-right political leader. Thierry Baudet steps down. https://www.dutchnews.nl/news/2020/11/thierry-baudet-stands-down-as-far-right-fvd-party-leader/ This is good news because this was one of the most dangerous politicians here who lied like Trump but then a lot more intelligent. His party was nexit supporting, nationalist, white supremacist, had ties to the Kremlin, sexist, homophobic....well if you're Dutch I'm sure you know.
  15. It's not. It's a lot better than in most countries in the world, really. But just like in the states and basically everywhere else there's a lot of polarisation. The far-right is on the rise and deluding many people with propaganda and conspiracies. But these politicians are so unstable that sometimes, luckily, they shoot themselves in the foot. The far-right leader Thierry Baudet wanted to destroy his entire political party because the other members could not stand him anymore. Well they can come from anywhere I guess But the conservatives here have to put up with a growing Stage Green. People are fleeing the traditional right-wing parties because even they now realize climate change is real and accept LGBTQ+ rights. This might make them extra agressive I dunno
  16. Right wing propaganda is a big, big problem. Especially now with the internet it's easier to rot people's mind.
  17. He used to be into self-help. His oldest videos aren't even comedy and are all about classic self-help topics. But I guess he turned it into self-satire at some point to the point of becoming a clown that stage Orange and lower use to demonize Green.
