  1. @Leo Gura "You are creating a duality between thoughts and matter, as though they are made of two different substances." This is the absolute truth. I would even say that "Thoughts and matter are literally made out of the exact same stuff: consciousness." itself is to be let go of. Silence. Mouna. That is more truthful.
  2. Start with "I". Who is this "I" who has started inquiry of beliefs? The objective here is to get rid of all the various beliefs and thoughts you hold to be true about life. There is fork in the road here. One path leads to years of seeking, and the other will give you immediate insight into the truth. One path is seeking "stages of enlightenment and deeper realizations" while the other path IS realization. This insight from Ramana Maharshi was invaluable in my own enlightenment: To make room it is sufficient to remove the furniture. Room is not brought from elsewhere. The point is that enlightenment is already here. You are already enlightenment. Just get it. Who is this "I" who is confused? Confusion only exists so far as you identify with the this "I". "So what is the difference between conceptual realisation and a deep reality shattering realisation?" There is no such thing as either of those things. Just get it.
  3. Hello young friend. I can't tell you what's right for you, but if i were in your shoes, i wouldn't invest too much into any philosophy, new age or otherwise. What we do here is mostly deconstruction our beliefs.
  4. @Anirban657 Yes and to a massive scale. Try this: remember the memory of the last time someone did you wrong. Did you get angry or sad? Did your heart get heavy? Did your stomach get upset? That's thoughts affecting matter.
  5. @SoonHei But you see, all of that is also assumptions and concepts. Reality is a concept. Infinite is a concept. Your conclusion is a concept. How can i say this? When I am silent, they all disappear!
  6. First of all the assumption that human beings are rational actors is a matter of great debate even among philosophers. But nevertheless, It is not correct to say that there is no reality without perception. Enlightenment is all about realizing that reality exists independent of anything else. The image of the Sun that gives light to illuminate itself is appropriate here. To see the point for yourself, try to understand that whatever concept you may hold cannot bind reality down. Rationality, property, perception. These are all concepts. These are thoughts that one can try and impose on reality. But just as the your image in the mirror is not the real thing, these too are illusion.
  7. Do you have active kundalini, and if so, what insight has it specifically unlocked so far? What is your understanding of bliss?
  8. The truth - the Self - is silent. It just is. Human consciousness comes up with concepts and superimposes them on reality. Of course, human consciousness is not in truth separate from the Self, so we can say that the Self (or infinite intelligence as you call it) is superimposing these beliefs upon itself. Now by reading what i wrote, i hope you can gain an appreciation for how language breaks down when it comes to explain this truth. It's like running in circles. So when you say "Basically I want to know if infinite intelligence extends to the social levels of reality." I want you to realize that what you conceptualize might not make much sense in the face of the absolute (yet another name for the Self, infinite intelligence etc). Regarding the last bit of your post, there has been an incredible amount of philosophizing about mechanisms that go into this life. Karma, power of imagination, law of attraction etc. but I recommend silence. It is the most truthful.
  9. I gotta say, the point he is trying to make is incredibly valuable. It took me a year to finally be able to realize that a spiritual ego is still an ego.
  10. This last imagine reminds me of something that i heard a while ago about heaven. If you think about it, heaven would be a kind of place that is frozen and ever unchanging. All the pain that the body experiences throughout its life is because it lives in an evolutionary world that is constantly moving towards perfection. In contrast heaven is not an evolutionary world but rather a cold, still place. Somehow makes it so much less appealing to think of it that way.
  11. There is no duality. Your present confusion is based on assumptions that you are superimposing on reality. In truth, there are no separate beings, enlightened or otherwise. There is only the Self. For there to be others, the assumption that you yourself are a separate entity must be held, which is illusion.
  12. This is a good project. I hope you keep it up.
  13. Look into your experience and see if you can find this "I" who knows stuff. Can you find it anywhere? Can you point at any part of your body for example and say that it is the "I"? If you answered yes, ask who is it that is aware of this thing then?
  14. I thought of this when I was contemplating and I thought to share. The purpose is to demonstrate that the Self is independent of states of consciousness. Clench your fist and bring it up to look at it. Imagine the hand to be the "I" - the first person pronoun that you use to identify with objects, feelings, and emotions. Imagine the act of clenching your fist to be the "am". Now imagine a state such as happiness or sadness, and imagine that you are tightly holding this state in your fist. This is analogous to saying "I am happy." or "I am sad." Now, once you are comfortable with this and can imagine it clearly, suddenly open your fist - which makes it so that the fist (the am) does not exist anymore. Not only have you let go of the state, but also you are only left with the "I". Now lower your fist out of your vision and simply be. This is the Self.
  15. Recently I've been feeling incredible pressure and energetic activity in the crown chakra, like something trying to break out of the skull from the inside out. I'm not asking for suggestions and advice on how to deal with this. I'm good on that front. Just want to hear some of your experiences with this phenomena. Peace.
  16. Yes. This. This is why we say enlightenment is a very simple thing, and that the challenge we face in trying to explain it to others is that it's a very simple thing. The human mind has the tendency to complicate things to oblivion. All it has to do is to shut up for a minute and then it will see.
  17. @Hellspeed I am familiar with the concept that the crown chakra is not an actual chakra. Interesting to associate the pressure with release of blockages @Elysian Yeah i have pretty similar experiences with Kundalini. Last night i had some very intense Kriyas and I think i gained the ability to chant unconsciously.
  18. I'm sharing this just because how funny it is to experience it. It really makes me chuckle. When in a deeply meditative state, words can become indistinguishable from other sounds, in the sense that meaning is no longer inferred from them. So you can hear a person who is running their mouth off vexing poetics and yet it's no more profound than the sounds an orangutan might make. I hope you can experience it and have a laugh.
  19. @SoonHei Your question is a very interesting, and quite honestly one of the better ones i've heard regarding enlightenment. Yes, mooji is correct to say he is here forever. Ramana says the same thing, and I will say the same, as it is truly how I feel. However you are asking about the mechanism that goes into reincarnation, and for that, I have no answer. The sages and the scriptures say that when you pursue enlightenment in one life, even if you don't reach it, you will be born again in circumstances that are more conducive to enlightenment. I have heard this from very wise sages. But I say, let's just be silent on the matter because it is the most truthful.
