  1. @Javfly33 That's intense... But I guess there is a solution to it, right... But I think you have some sort of in-built shame of feeling happy or something, not even talking about losing your self / your mind. Why keep thinking about what this situation is like? Creating this thought story of Javfly33 living in a physical world, having this experience... the experience is much more full without you. Just give yourself up, you aren't winning this fight anyways. @Leo Gura Oh yeah I get you, I didn't think this through... Thanks @Marchino What are you not?
  2. @Leo Gura Don't you think that thinking like: „It's going to be hell“ or „I will die, oh my God...“ etc... just makes it worse? (not talking about psychedelics right now, I don't have experience with them) I mean, yeh sure, there will be suffering, but thinking negatively only strenghtens it in my opinion.
  3. @tenta idk what you resonate with, usually if you listen patiently, you can feel that depth in these animes and mangas... I like Mushi-shi
  4. Of course there are high consciousness animes and mangas
  5. Thank you, it has a beautiful depth to it
  6. @Key Elements Yeh, it's incredible what kind of stories people create in their heads Very beautiful though... @Shin Happened to me once that I fulfilled multiple of my dreams on the same day, but then realized it's still ego... fuck...
  7. @Nickyy If people understand that though is the real question, saying that means nothing
  8. I mean, not that it's not beautiful, but it still produces suffering... I just realized how cold this sounds
  9. Even having the perfect date with the girl of your dreams on your birthday is a joke compared to Divine Love
  10. Be careful about preaching the preach
  11. @ZenAlex For how long has this been going on with you?
  12. Hope you find this helpful! https://academic.udayton.edu/jackbauer/Readings 595/Koltko-Rivera 06 trans self-act copy.pdf
  13. @cetus56 @Serotoninluv I've almost always found answers like those pretty terrifying, but on second thought, it seems like the only valid answer. The kind of insanity I know just melts down in silence so it's all cool, rabbit holes are nice
  14. @Serotoninluv What kind of insanity are you talking about? (I mean the one caused by spiritual work) I've had these periods of feeling like I am going insane but I was able to let go and transcend that and my friends who are also searching have been telling me something similar... Is there something deeper, more dangerous perhaps?
  15. @Serotoninluv Wow, thanks for this amazing reply! I even feel like I understand what you've just written This world needs more professors like you. What would be the other factors? I always wonder about this, because we can basically fix our mood and psyche with these very abstract and woo woo practices that are hardly based on any science and everything ends up working just fine, but at the same time we cannot ignore the physiological side of things if we want to further increase our understanding - where do these things overlap? Is there any serious research being done on the topic of the nervous system's relationship to spiritual practices, like how hormones, neurotransmitters, electromagnetic waves change with meditation, yoga etc...? It kind of seems to me that the changes in behavior that lead to spiritual growth happen intuitively, but maybe we can enhance these effects? What do you think?
  16. @abrakamowse There is still resistance there, it's fun when you realize this abnormality has always been inside the norm. And that it isn't really you who is going crazy.
  17. @Serotoninluv Does purifying yourself of trauma and thought stories make any difference on your genes?
  18. Anthropology of the Middle East is very interesting, when you realize that they have all these natural catastrophies there and poor conditions... When you live in that kind of place where you cannot even get yourself a glass of water that isn't full of some weird insect larvae, saying everything is God's Will and we should just deal with it doesn't sound like a bad idea at all, I actually think it holds them together, without Islam, they would struggle even harder.
  19. This is fascinating, if people taught us this in psychology and biology classes at school, that would be awesome. Does goes beyond Samskara (Death?) also have some genetics to it? I wonder how that would look...
  20. @Eugenio What you think or believe is irrelevant to Enlightenment. Enlightenment speaks for itself so clearly that you don't need to think about it, it's impossible.
  21. @Eugenio Enlightenment doesnt mean you become a narcissistic superhuman wizard
  22. @petar8p I mean, some people are just so deluded, that they would listen to almost any bullshit ideology and it's a real thing. I remember when this Reeves guy used to be a thing on this forum, I would justify his opinions and stuff and Leo and others had to delete my content, because it was corrupted with selfishness. Then I had a lot of inner conflict to see where I was going wrong, because it seemed to work just fine on paper... I had to really trust the „higher people“ (higher person for me is someone who lives a happier life than I do, I don't care what colour are you as long as everything works for you well) and kind of go in a direction that I saw no meaning in, but then it turned out to be the right way and I am happy I did it Does that make more sense?
