The Blind Sage replied to Kel Varnsen's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Kel Varnsen It took some time to admit that I wasn't ready to wake up because of the need to develop myself first (emotionally, financially, etc.) I am no longer feeding this victimhood mentality of wishing my life were in an easier situation so that I could spend my time on sadhana. I'm now focused on making money for the next few years. After that, it'll be more isha courses and maybe the life-purpose course. Essentially, I overcame my own self-deception. In some way shape or form, you're probably bullshitting yourself too. It's ok, we all go through the same process of disillusionment. I can only imagine how I'll look back at my old self in a few years and realize what dumbass I was lol. Accept where you are, be grounded and practical about what you need to do in order to get what you want. You might find this old gem helpful, good luck https://www.actualized.org/articles/balancing-theory-vs-practice -

@Suhasni Buy Leo's booklist and read some of the books in the 'emotional mastery' section. Hands down one of the best investments I've ever made. -

@barspiner there's a book on leos list about it in the happiness section. Haven't read it myself but looks good. -
Is flow state a quasi 'mystical experience'? Whenever I get into flow (usually in high stake situations in sports, adventure sports etc) I will think right after the experience 'holy shit how did I manage to do that?' Then I wonder-where did the 'I' go during that moment? My sense of self dissapeared for the duration and it it felt like time stopped...its quite difficult to subjectively explain the feeling because its so foreign. Hence, I was wondering if this is a glimpse into no-mind. How does flow state relate to nonduality?

*please delete if repost* I originally saw this young lady when she went viral a few years ago. This was before I was introduced to SD. I recently re-watched the above video and realized she was mainly at stage red. Although I had previously recognized she wasn't a developed human being, SD truly gives excellent clarity. some of her red behaviors include: physically agressive Displays of toughness Impulsively daring (stealing cars)

@phoenix666 could you recommend which product you use? There are so many and some seem overpriced -

I'm confused by this-how can you be out of god-consciousness but still be conscious that you are god? Do you mean it in the sense that your normal everyday state is the same but now with the realised context of everything being god? -
What are some modern, healthy examples of stage red?
-
Care to elaborate on the differences?

I've completed angamardhana. In terms of physical fitness it's quite complete. It strengthens your system without causing tightness and all. Isha says you can complete it within 25-30 minutes...well that's a load of bull. It'll take you many months of dedicated practice till you can do it that quickly. It takes about an hour to do in the early stages. Unfortunately due to consecutive injuries I couldn't do the practice consistently. I did however complete the first 35 days in a row. At the end of those 35 days, my hamstrings were a lot more flexible and my body just felt much more at ease. My awareness of how I shift my balance while doing any activity was much more heightened. If you've ever read the book in the physiology section on Leos list or watched the body awareness episode, you'd appreciate how transformative this can be. I thought to myself during my consistent phase that if I continue this practice for a year or two I could see how it would result in a permanent change-a certain kind of suppleness and ease. I think its a good course but it takes a lot of consistency to really get results. All in all, SG has mentioned that hatha yoga is prepatory in nature. Angamardhana is certainly an effective tool for preparing the body, I don't think I'd be able to attempt certain asanas unless I improve at executing the angamardhana practice first. I was hoping it would give added benefits like syncing with the cycles of nature like SG talks about so much but I think that comes more with yogasanas. But of course, unless your body is prepared for asanas you aint syncing with jackshit. So that's my 2 cents TLDR: angamardhana's a good course but have the right expectations, its a course to prepare the physical body, nothing more. -
The Blind Sage replied to The Don's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Karma yoga is one of the mainstream yogic paths, usually done with a combination of bakhti and gyan, so he's just wrong here lol. He also seems very ethnocentric. 'dont awaken serpents because serpent bad hur dur'...tf kind of logic was he on about there ahaha. I highly doubt he's awakened, if somenoes looking to this guy for spiritual growth then I'd say they're looking in the wrong areas-but what do I know, I'm not awake . -

@Leo Gura If you don't want to share personal stories that's fine, but could you give some more insight into how your dads psyche worked? What were his values and worldview exactly? I'm always at a loss of how to deal with stage red people. -
The Blind Sage replied to Leo Gura's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@astrokeen He's probably talking about the one from the booklist. I dont want to disclose it out of intregrity for Leo, just buy the list, it's well worth the investment. Also check out http://www.kriyayogainfo.net/. There should be a link to download Ennio Nimis's book for free. -
The Blind Sage replied to mindcentral's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@mindcentral Sometimes when there's lots of energy built up in my 3rd eye it becomes difficult to keep the eyes focused elsewhere, it sort of naturally wants to rest focusing upwards. It sounds like yours is much more pronounced tho. It's hard for people to give advice without knowing what meditation exactly you're doing but the consensus is that if you're practising concentration its best to ignore it/let it be and focus on the object of meditation. Peace brother x
