@AuroraDream I also struggled with it when I first played it, but the more time passed, and the more I put aside my own expectations, the more I saw the beauty in Part II. But it's not going to work for everyone, and that's okay.

No, but a good myth might. -

Of course, the actual experience is always better than any myth, but timeless realities get transmitted through myth. Myth is very powerful, much more powerful than non-fiction and facts. -
Mainstream in the sense that psychedelics like LSD, psilocybin, and DMT become widely legalized? Probably never. Mainstream in the sense that psychedelics become widely talked about? It's already happening.

It means quite a lot. I realized that already. -
Video games are diverse, so we all look for different things when we play a video game. Maybe you prefer multi-player games, I don't know. But even then I struggle to understand why someone doesn't enjoy The Last of Us. Can you say why you think it's not good at all?

A historical fact like that could help someone to get disenchanted with them, but I couldn't care any less. I care about the metaphorical and symbolic meaning of their lives: what it means to get crucified and resurrected, for example. -
This is a great opportunity for spiritual work. "One of the fundamental insights about emotional maturity is that we are responsible for our own emotional lives. No one makes us feel any particular way." - Adyashanti What others say and do shouldn't dictate how you feel. I know it's not easy, and I can relate to your need for respect. I've felt disrespected before, but later I realized that my feeling had nothing to do with what other people did. It had to do with the stories I was telling myself. It's not easy to see through these stories. You have to see through it again and again. You have to practice this over and over again like you'd practice anything else.

Characters like Christ and Buddha are interesting only from the mythological perspective. When it comes to their lives, the historical perspective is not that interesting. It's the mythologized version that's valuable, because these myths carry truth. -
Me too. But most of them came out in the olden days. Most modern games are boring. I play it for an hour or two, and I have no idea why I should waste twenty or thirty hours of my life to complete this pointless game. With GoW I could sense that this was all leading to a grand climax. And after the climax I had to think about the experience for a week. Definitely not a casual game. It's a great action-adventure. Level design is all right. Story is better than most wannabe "Story-Driven" games. It did get overrated in the sense that this is definitely not a masterpiece, but compared to so many other games that come out these days, it's at the very least "good", if not "great".
-
I did play GoW 2018. It's not a masterpiece, but it's certainly better than most games that come out. The first GoW is still my favorite in the series. I loved the intrigue of the temple, and at the end you felt as though you went on a long adventure.

I'm so happy that this experience exists. I predict that it's one of the last modern masterpieces. We probably won't get works of art like these in the future. Art will become less mature and less sophisticated. Everything will become absurd.

And this is what happens when there is no understanding: “Turning points are little moments of choice when you choose to pivot an interaction with someone towards understanding and peace. Peace doesn’t always need to be your intention behind any conversation; we’re just noticing that in any given conversation, there are these little moments where it could go one way or the other." - Adyashanti

This is amazing: Pay attention to what people are actually saying. Try to understand rather than trying to be understood.

This is really cool: I like biophilic design. "As the first museum to focus exclusively on storytelling through images, the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art™ believes that visual storytelling can connect us and help shape a more just society. With a growing collection that encompasses artworks from across cultures, places, times, and mediums, including paintings, sculptures, murals, photography, comic art, book and magazine illustrations, and the arts of filmmaking, the Lucas Museum will explore narrative art’s potential to prompt questions, invite opinions, inspire community, and move people to think about the impact of images on our world." That's part of the problem: https://nypost.com/2022/09/22/woke-gen-z-is-hellbent-on-destroying-entertainment/ This generation has poor taste. But we all lack taste when we're young, so I hope they'll grow out of it.

Leaks hurt on a human level: As a creator, you don't want people to see your unfinished work taken out of context.
