I feel like I should keep going. It took 720 hours to get here. I don't want to reset the clock. Actually, it's not new. The yogis call it Brahmacharya.

The Mystical Man replied to Holykael's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Perhaps not. But you will inevitably experience the sorrows of existence. No one goes through a whole lifetime and avoids the inevitable tragedies of life. -

The sorrows of existence are undeniable. But that's not all there is to existence. -

"Genius can be more accurately identified by perseverance, courage, concentration, enormous drive, and absolute integrity. Talent alone is not enough. Dedication of an unusual degree is required to achieve mastery, and in the simplest definition, one could say that genius is the capacity for an extraordinary degree of mastery in one’s calling. A formula followed by all geniuses, prominent or not, is: Do what you like to do best, and do it to the very best of your ability." - Dr. Hawkins

Great write-up: https://www.reddit.com/r/NoFap/comments/z6jqmu/ready_to_quit_permanently/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3 "In the narrative sense, you've pissed the universe off. You've made the wrong sacrifices. In life, we are given an allotted amount of time and attention (roughly 80 years worth) and in return, you're supposed to do what men were innately designed/evolved to do: work (sacrifice time and energy) to make things better, create value, and rest by enjoying the fruits of your labor. Humanity, through natural selection, has this inherent desire and you, along with your father, his father, and his father, and so forth were born with it. Instead, because of this sense of the self/ego, humans act selfishly and "choose" to use others and themselves as tools to get what this ego wants. You've watched yourself countless times choose to spend your precious time and attention on things that don't ultimately matter like porn, TikTok, Instagram, junk food, video games, etc. You've been tricked into thinking these things will satisfy you. Deep down inside, you hate yourself for wasting your potential, as you should. The universe looks down on you because you can be so much more than you currently are."

Week 4 My brain is sad. I miss dopamine land. I'll keep going until Friday, because I have a presentation to give on that day, and I'll need all the confidence and mental clarity I can get. On the weekend, I will be tempted to return to dopamine land, but my intention is to keep going indefinitely.

The ultimate improvement would be to take it down.

https://youtu.be/oxlx7pZ2IBk "Don't move." "Meditation is a ritualized embodiment of something much bigger: it's about our whole relationship to life." "You can keep your body still. Your psyche is referencing the stillness of the body." "Something is dissatisfactory about having an insight that has no impact on your life. Insights seek form; they seek individual expression." "Give it an embodied expression every day. Until it's just a way of being." "Start small enough where you're guaranteed to succeed: What would it be like if you prepared and poured the cup of tea from the great heartfulness that you experienced?" "What if I had a conversation where I didn't violate that which I hold to be most valuable and true?" "When the embodiment isn't totally cohesive, you'll feel that: it'll feel like you tripped."

Just where do people get the audacity to pity a great woman like Rowling? It's beyond me.
