  1. One of many of my favorites: "Create like a God. Command like a King. Work like a slave." - Constantin Brancusi
  2. So I have a love hate relationship with NoFap. I can see the benefits - just after 10 days even, there is a skip in my step and an energetic twinkle in my eyes. I swear girls notice you more; my head is held high and I walk with confidence. Birds sing sweeter and colours look brighter. Motivation comes easy and energy levels are through the roof when you're on a good streak. That's the love part of the relationship. The hate part of the relationship is... Its fucking difficult.. especially with my drive haha. I'm currently on a 30 day challenge and I'm on day 6. My max attempt has been to 19 days. Its an incredible use of willpower when there is a relapse urge but I just got to push through. I highly recommend the Reddit NoFap community, those guys are awesome and the relapse tool has helped me on numerous occasions! You really do sound like the perfect candidate. Give it a try.
  3. I think this is a really good topic post! Being a student, it would be great to know the best "bang for your buck" type shopping list. I'd be quite interested in improving my own shopping list by looking at others. I have never read or looked into improving my diet, this is just what feels right for me at the moment! Here is my weekly list: Protein: Minced beef Two breaded cod fillets 8 pack of bacon 4 x chicken breasts Fruit/Veg: Bananas Apples Onions Frozen mixed vegetables Dairy/breakfast: Cream Milk Granola Carbs: Spaghetti Tagliatelle Ravioli Oven chips White Rice Brown seeded Bread Other stuff: Honey Activia yoghurts Honey roasted ham Dolmio sauce Tikka masala sauce A backet of biscuits (usually hobnobs - I love them!) Breakfast biscuits for snacks Soreen Malt loaf So that's roughly what I buy weekly, some things like the pastas carry over into the next week and sometimes meats if I don't eat as much but I train at least 6 times a week with triathlon so I usually do! I'd love it if someone knows any improvements I could make, Thanks!
  4. You guys have a great head start on most of the general psyche. Good luck changing the world, its a big place to change
  5. Hello everyone Name: Ollie Spearing Age: 19 Gender: Male Location: Birmingham, UK Occupation: Student Marital Status: Single pringle Kids: Certainly hope not Hobbies: Meditation, Triathlon, My degree, Becoming the strongest version of myself Major Influences: Leo (obviously), Owen Cook, Elliot Hulse, Marcus Aurelius, The Buddha, Local catholic priest, Jesus, Family, Eckhart Tolle, Alan Watts. So I'm not really sure why I like personal development so much. I've had quite a normal life.. my parents are well off, I've quite clever (according to society) and no real major issues. Of course I've met depression like everyone does but it was never serious compared to the stories of others I read. At school i fitted in well, neither was I a "cool kid" or a nerd, I was just there, another face for the teachers to forget the next year. There was nothing remarkable about me. I was quite shy and un-confident but generally had a good outlook on life. I first came into contact with personal development through RSD when trying to get better with girls in the first term of university. This was a lonely time for me but I was taught the harsh way the difference between loneliness and being alone. The two are different. From RSD I read "The Power of Now" and set up a daily meditation habit. I think this is where my life turned for the better. Almost a year now of daily meditation, I feel like my happiness levels have increased dramatically because of it and when I learn something new from Leo each week it feels like my life is on steroids. Reading the posts above I feel this forum is going to host a high calibre of people. I can only hope to grow stronger with the help of you all I know I still have much to learn! Personal challenges I've overcome Building core confidence Daily meditation practice Success with women High work ethic (Better) emotional control Challenges I still need to overcome: Compassion and consideration towards others - I feel I've become over confident. Confirming Life Purpose Pursuit of Enlightenment No Fap Gaining wisdom Acing my degree Thinking I'm better than I actually am. I look forward to getting to know some of you a lot better! --- Create like a God. Command like a King. Work like a Slave. ---
