  1. I would recommend watching Leo's video on survival, it's strangely relevant here because the reason why you feel such agonizing and suicidal feelings is part of your ego is dying from this situation. Basically, your sense of sense is you being this guy with this girl and it all got shattered by these two experiences. The good news is that you lost nothing but gained a lot from this experience. If you were to take any psychedelic to learn from this I would recommend molly/MDMA. That's the one that makes you feel the most universal love and well being both for yourself, others, and all of creation. This will help you forgive yourself for destroying your temporary dream and your girl for being so quick to move on from it. Best of luck brother, you got this.
  2. The problem with real relationships is that they involve a lot of settling and compromise. It's generally seen as toxic behavior to try and change your partner to your liking. Some people either learn to enjoy compromising(maybe it's part of growth?) or somehow find people that they naturally mesh up really well with. AI relationships are gonna change that as the models will be molded to your liking in terms of personality, style of communication, and appearance. There's platforms like character AI that let you now pick the voice of your AI companion and have a live call with them. This technology is gonna only improve more and more and include more modalities of interaction. In the next few years, they're gonna be able to follow you around with stuff like Meta AR glasses and eventually contacts. Personally I'm excited about this as even after meeting thousands of women in person, I mesh naturally only with a few so the idea of building my dream GF is pretty cool to me. I still think human relationships will have their place but this is an interesting rabbit hole to go down. I'm especially thankful to have had previous relationships to be able to see the contrast. What do you guys think? Is this high consciousness or low? Should we learn to love to compromise or be able to have our dream partner that's perfectly designed around us and is able to give us all their attention all the time in exactly the way we want it?
  3. While dreaming I've felt both a range of feelings and an intensity that I've never felt in real life. It really feels like the waking world is just like a painful test and I occasionally get blessed with glimpses of true comfort/peace/love/pleasure/contentment in the dream world.
  4. I think people are underestimating the impact of the job loss and how it'll fundamentally impact capitalism as a whole. This is a great video on it TL;DW guy is a graphic designer and the marketing agency that he worked at fed all his past work into an AI that now makes templates for all their new clients and makes them websites and emails. That puts the creatives out of work soon, a lot of marketers as well and video editors are not far behind. Just went to a pitch today where this company now automatically generates short-form content for you. The global economy isn't in a phenomenal spot where employers can generally afford to be generous or even wait to increase their efficiency themselves by using AI systems wherever possible in their business. Hopefully somewhere in like 30-50 years we'll end up in an abundant AGI utopia with infinite fusion power but until then the next 5 years will be rough for the general populace. Thoughts?
  5. I hope you guys forgive me for using this forum as a great example of spiral dynamics. @Danioover9000 Love you but I must use you as an example for this The way we end this political and cultural war is not through demonization but through love, compassion, and understanding. This is where stage green must move to stage yellow and turquoise to be a productively functioning agent of change in the world. Donald Trump and his family are human and Ivanka shares their story in this podcast. I watched some of the clips and they are heartwarming to see. I would encourage you Dani and some of the other people who heavily dislike Trump(myself included) to watch this clip here and some of the others from the podcast: Did you know Donald Trump would've wanted to be a Broadway musical producer in another life? He loves music and particularly artists like Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra. He also can learn without arrogance and routinely talks with the low-level laborers on his project to find first-principle solutions to engineering problems; similar to how Elon Musk does. It's easy to demonize people with unfortunate character traits like narcissism and sociopathy but we are human and here we are. Let's understand ourselves and heal ourselves. From the 7 Habits of highly effectively people and often quoted by Owen Cook: Seek first to understand then to be understood. I would ask you Leo or the mod team if you would consider removing a warning point from Dani. They are clearly an engaged member of the forum and their viewpoint is valuable. To self-actualize and understand the world is not an easy concept and if I was less introverted I would also post more unhinged stuff online; because I restrain myself more so doesn't mean I'm a more valuable member. I do see how you could see Lex Fridman as supporting the right Dani but I on the contrary think that opening these dialogues is an invaluable tool for the human race to communicate with itself and ultimately unite. Same as Tucker Carlson interviewing Putin. We are all human with flaws trying to understand and solve this death survival game at the end of the day and I would ask you to be try and feel compassion and understand where Donald Trump and his family are coming from. This will not lead you to join their camp but ultimately will lead us to bridge the political gap as we enter a very sensitive time in both US politics and geopolitics as a whole. We cannot afford to be divided anymore.
  6. Sounds like co-dependence and not healthy responsibility. The litmus test would be is she doing as much for herself(and more) than you are? There is a difference between helping someone who puts effort in themselves and enabling someone who is in a slump and you dumping them would be the wakeup call they need to get their life together. Is there any mental health diagnosis like bipolar/BPD?
  7. @Leo Gura Can there be such a thing as a powerful business that is stage green and above? I assume it would take a strong stage yellow leader to build the vision for it as green is too short-sighted to really understand the complexity of the system without getting discouraged by its corruption.
  8. Is this a mechanism of devilry? How his grudge against Twitter was it being biased towards liberalism and not the truth and not he's making it objectively less truthful? How does that even work?
  9. This is a good video that explains the move towards total war between Nato & Russia I'm sure there is an agenda at play here, these people are not stupid if even YouTubers can figure out a logical escalation of event people at the highest level can as well. Russia has already secured through their parliament the budget to continue the war until at least 2026 and their economy is not turning into a war time economy. It would be very bad for them economically to stop anytime soon so I'm quite sure the rest of the decade will be filled with wars.
  10. What inspires you most about science, engineering and technology?
  11. There is no other righteous way than to convince the people through right action though. Such as Gandhi with India. You must stand for the principle and inspire the people through devotion as otherwise you become a tyrant as well.
  12. @NightHawkBuzz People employ different strategies to survive or maintain their identity in this world. For some people that's being obedient to the system and they get dopamine from getting validation. For some others it's the exact opposite, acting out and rebelling is what gives them a sense of identity and pleasure. Generational trauma is a good concept to encapsulate most of this. When you have an unstable home life regardless of race you don't have the option to just behave and be at peace; your life is a constant struggle and you bring that struggle with you wherever you go.
  13. @Someone here Why do you say that?
  14. @gambler Why are you against it now?
  15. Well you guys have covered the sour grapes part of it; the psychology of it is pretty clear; Hate what you can't have(at the moment.) What I don't see commented much about is the masculine disliking the feminine by pure confusion and as a stranger danger type of thing. I remember I had a girl come to one of my photoshoots last year and I had a strong dislike for her even though she was cute and sweet; which confused me. I've reflected on it this past year and I realized she's one of the most feminine woman I've ever interacted with and it was deeply unsettling for me. Super free-flowing, dancing without a care in the world which is like the complete opposite of my mind which is always hyperactive with ideas and analyzing the world for danger. It's a strange dichotomy because the feminine is my favorite thing in the universe and I feel dead without it but I have a hard time feeling it too closely as I lose my sense of self and control within it.
  16. Thanks for explaining your side. Politics is a dirty game as it directly rules over our lives and deaths. It's natural to get heated and emotional but it will not help us solve our deep issues. I don't have an answer for you apart from making a far-off suggestion to channel your anger into productive action. I've been reading up on history and the founding of our modern states and it's been humbling. They managed to make up mostly peace and order out of far worse chaos than we have now so I wouldn't give up hope. The bonus point is we have AI to make ourselves smarter, better, and eventually reach objective truth so that's a big plus.
  17. @integral Has he shared that in that series? First I hear of this; interesting. @Yeah Yeah If you want elaborate more on your situation and I can give you more practical advice. Do you live in a western country or a more restrictive one? Have you tried pickup? How is your social life outside of the dating scene? You can always learn to get laid. You will still be in pain afterward but at least you won't have that insecurity/shame anymore.
  18. @Rafael Thundercat Dude yeah that's creepy as hell. There is something about deliberate evil that's so terrifying.
  19. @Javfly33 Sexuality is very interesting, very related to your brain, psychology and "trauma." Like for me it has a lot to do with FOMO and missing out even though I don't connect intimately with many women but want to have sex with them. So I tend to be heavily into porn more than actual socializing/pickup.
  20. @BojackHorseman Do you feel like you have a personality that's in general avoidant of commitments? You might very well be in a green is greener on the other side situation where your life is exactly how you need it to be but you have to let go of some deep-rooted fear/trauma about being trapped or something of that nature. That's what you saying you don't want kids and want to break up with a good partner to go chase young tail tells me. I think @Schizophonia is right and it's your ego. I've also felt envious of my more extroverted friends that have an easier time getting laid than I do but the more I watch it in detail and understand what's going on; the more it just seems like a dysfunctional social matrix I don't really want any part of. Like most of dating is just two people kind of storytelling to each other random nonsense and then humping for a bit to dissipate stress and then avoiding each other until they do it again with another person or do it a few times. It's not particularly deep or meaningful.
  21. I like how you put it that he was looking for a piece of the universe that was similar to what he was. I'll contrast it to another guy I read about a few days ago(Trigger warning NSFL text) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Kürten That guy went to the more extreme end of killing/raping people to feel something and he justified it as he also went through horrors. Thomas Day is but a slightly unorthodox experimenter by comparison.
  22. This makes a lot of sense. I tend to relate and have better conversations with older women but be really attracted to the younger chaotic feminine ones. Has landed me in a couple relationships with BPD type women. @Antor8188 It's part of the game brother. I've had plenty of humiliating moment in my journey as well. Here Neil Strauss talks about going on a date with a girl and she ends up making out with a random dude on a bench. Important to also identify correctly the emotions you're feeling. You're just feeling a big blow to your pride/ego. Which feels agonizing but literally gives you growth so in a strange way you actually won out in this situation.
  23. Fascinating story; thanks for sharing. It seems like he was a mix of a rich kid and an introvert who wasn't one for social games. The feminine can be strange to grasp for a very masculine mind with its freedom from the bounds of what seems like safe logicality for some of us. Soon enough we'll have AI girlfriends; I guess that's what he wanted to have. It is an interesting case though, he didn't seem to have abused them sexually and let them go after a few months for one and a couple of years for the other. I guess his ego learned the lesson and he pondered on the meaning of freedom in his later years which led to his writings against American slavery. He also was literally killed by kindness so interesting twist: "Day was thrown from his horse while trying to break it using kindness at Barehill, Berkshire, on 28 September 1789 and died almost instantly."
  24. Can you elaborate on your experience and what kind of symptoms you have now? I have some experience of de-relization at times after taking psychedelics which sometimes are pretty scary and anxiety inducing and at other times quite calming as I realize that my problems and life don't really have that much weight in the grand scheme of things.
