  1. US drug war worsened south america and central america. If US citizens want to help south and central americas, stop drug war.
  2. This is far from being succinct. Just say we want basic income for people who will be unemployed by automation and economic changes.
  3. Let's say I want to build my body. As an amateur body builder, I have to chug through lots of misinformation to reach a simple training regimen that works reliably. A lot of misinformation gives you illusion of complexity. I have to first overcome illusion of complexity. Illusion of complexity applies to other fields such as art, engineering, science, math, chess, etc, ... How do I overcome illusion of complexity fast? I've thought of a few ways. Asking an expert who grew fast about a good training method so that I won't waste time on ineffective methods. Searching the internet for one good material that teaches me good training methods. ...
  4. Don't push yourself too hard. Find ways to grow interest in it. Try to foster love and interest in the long term. In the short term, increase awareness of resistance and use sedona method. Increasing awareness and slowing down your thoughts and actions helps push through resistance. Through increased awareness, you can figure out when to stop doing something so that you are not going to experience ego backlash and stop doing it consistently. In the short term, increase awareness, slow down, and know when to stop. Prioritize consistency over quantity. In the short term, momentum is more important than motivation. Build up momentum everyday and in the long term. Awareness and emotional labor are important for building up momentum. In the long term, foster love and interest and passion. Passion will naturally increase quantity and quality of your practice.
  5. That partner can be a work partner instead of my romance partner.
  6. I almost overlooked your annotations until I looked into the quote. I wish you didn't put your annotations in the quote. You can instead make a quote for each part and place an annotation below each.
  7. It's often difficult to differentiate a distraction from a flow. Chess can be a flow activity, but it can also be a distraction if I forget to balance chess with other aspects of my life such as exercise and food and water and relationships. But, I can still differentiate flow from mental fog.
  8. Let's say I'm in flow as I do something. I lose myself. I seem to become unconscious. Does flow reduce awareness and consciousness?
  9. People who don't use or pay for the products can organize boycott campaigns. Companies can misinterpret such boycott campaigns as genuine market signals. Sometimes, you can immediately recognize that the boycott campaigners are not real customers, but competitors. You cannot fake flow of money in the long term. In the short term, you can fake more demand and withdraw it if you have a lot of money. I would not listen to boycott campaigns unless they are supported by consistently shrinking demand. They are not going to listen to feedback, anyway. It takes time for large companies to listen to shrinking demands. Let them take time.
  10. Yes. As simple as possible, yet as complex as it needs to be. I want clarity.
  11. Don't make a family. Spare yourself the trouble. I see little point in seemingly endless cycles of reproduction. Making a family feels like a huge distraction. Divorce and divorce settlement will be an even bigger distraction that I would be wise to steer away from at the earliest opportunity which is now. Remember lifestyle minimalism.
  12. How would you cut unconscious forum members out without banning them? By ignoring them?
  13. Competition will teach them lessons. They are not suddenly going to feel empathy for poor customers. Even if they did, they may still try to maximize survival through subscription model. I mean feeling empathy for poor little rabbits didn't stop people from eating them. As long as you pay for their games, you will remain as a human cattle for consumption. Vote with your money. Choose competitors. Money will talk.
  14. Subscription model is common among MMORPGs. Competition is an antidote to greed.
  15. A lot of complexity that you perceive is illusion created by tons of misinformation. The purpose is to minimize the amount of time I distract myself with misinformation and to learn a good amount of "relevant" basic fundamentals quickly. I acknowledge that real complexity exists. I would tackle real complexity when it is not a distraction. Complexity can often become a huge distraction. As a beginner of anything, majoring in minor details is counter-productive. By the way, I am learning the basics on https://thefitness.wiki/ Does it look good to you?
  16. If you flip "dog", you get "god". Nice dog. I'm afraid of not continuing to exist as myself. I have so much more to do.
  17. But, finland takes away a lot of happiness through military conscription.
  18. Maneuvering myself out of distractions and procrastination Maneuvering myself into a positive momentum Although you probably covered those topics in the big picture level, specific methods can help.
  19. There are some wikipedia pages that have a lot of contention. But, wikipedia is far opener to outsiders than corporate secret projects. You can be banned from a company for your lifetime. You can be banned from open-source projects. Still, open-source projects are far opener to outsiders than corporations. An open-source project that promotes contributors as paid contributors can be a corporation. GitLab is an open-source project with a company behind it. GitLab can technically hire contributors without having to resort to formal interviews.
  20. This is a new experimental blueprint for new societies. Making hierarchies shallower Splitting large countries into city states Splitting military can create consequences. Explore ways for small military powers to defend against larger military powers Splitting large companies into small companies Shallower hierarchies create more authorities and more competition and create room for more experiments and more innovations. Competition is an antidote to devilry. Making hierarchies fluid Make corporate and national boundaries less rigid and more vague. Make it easy for outsiders to contribute. Wikipedia comes to my mind when I imagine easy contribution by outsiders. Corporation Be quick to promote contributors and demote idle members. Instead of hiring employees via interviews, allow outsiders to contribute to corporate work. Outsiders will have incentives to contribute because they want to fix issues in products they use and they want opportunities to demonstrate their skills to employers. Be quick to promote contributors to employees and employees to managers and executives. Be quick to demote executives, managers, and employees if they are idle for a while. Reserve tenures for a few. Government To make national boundary more vague, don't expel illegal migrants. Be quick to give more essential privileges to migrants who contribute. Essential privileges include the right to create bank accounts and small businesses. Be quick to take away non-essential privileges if they commit crimes or detract from the regional society. The right to vote is non-essential. Let people vote with their feet and their wallets. Abolish binary citizenship status. Turn binary citizenship status into gradual privileges which people gain and lose quickly over time. Each person would develop different privileges in different cities. Abolish defined election cycles. Create a voting website where people vote on their schedule. Each person can choose one's own own election cycle. I could choose to vote every 6 months. Another person could choose to vote every year or every two years. This is called asynchronous voting. Let people vote for regional candidates and individual policies. It is a mixture of direct and representational democracy.
  21. I like this insight. I noticed I wasn't going to save people with my cool ideas about reality. How would you serve the greater good? By sharing your insights? How would I serve the greater good? By sharing my labor of love without trying hard to save people?
  22. As leo said, consciousness and wisdom and caution increase your survival more than selfishness. While you are driven by fear, you are not effective at survival.
  23. I'm aware that 90% or more of my ideas or projects will go to trash bin. Being aware of this is good. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sturgeon's_law says
