Surrendering can be in many ways. Deeply knowing that anything and everything belongs to God or (Christian, Muslim, Jewish etc...) Being witness or, (zen, Buddhism, neo Adviata etc...) Being exhausted from suffering or being on control. (Trough life)

Surrendering doesn't kill it, because , something can be killed, which has began or born. But, surrendering vanishes it as never there. Because, ownership of birth vanishes, therefore never began.

Actually, birth, death, knowledge etc... happens to body and mind. But, You are free as always. That doesn't mean you feel amazing or fantastic or full of joy, but simply Being completely free. Like being exhausted from car driving, which means is being exhausted of being on control. However, when autopilot takes over, complete relaxation (end of controller, end of controlling). Then freedom is always there.
