  1. You are indipendent of what others think of you. Go do what you want to do in a rational strategic manner (for example using systems thinking and integrating of different perspectives, fields etc)
  2. People love sharing what they think because the evolution taught us to share knowledge for survival(like sharing a Food source).
  3. There were the other human beings on the planet that were smarter than us and they had bigger brains(Neanderthals)
  4. @Charlotte being present in the moment will not always solve his traumas, fears in daily life, and other toxic habits of thinking and emotions that are routed in stimulus. For that what might help is cognitive therapy or shadow work. He can be enlightened but still have shadow issues which he described.
  5. Find your life purpose Read Leo's book list and apply it to your life. Meditate
  6. @Leo Gura It comes through spiritual practice, the understanding of what you said, but most people lack that and it's a big trap to stay in concepts and thoughts
  7. If something makes you feel hurt or negative emotions you can take a journal and imagine the situation, what you feel in it. Then write your perspective and make sense of it. Imagine you are in that situation and imagine the feeling you have and be aware that it is only what you feel and know. Then go into the other person/ thing's perspective and imagine it from their perspective: what it looks like. What they want or need, what they think and how they react because of what they think and feel. Write it down and try to understand the other perspective from their point of view. Then you can go back and forth and do this process a few times and it will lower your hurt. Also you can meditate to raise your awareness and it will help you see stuff clearly and then it will raise the effectiveness of the process. Give it a try
  8. Just be on the path of yours . Be aware of limitations or excuses that rise in the mind and over time you will gain more control over yourself. Just do it without hurting others.
  9. Being a monk could help you because it will get you enlightened but there are other aspects of life which you will need to develope. Ken wilber outlines such lines of development as waking up (enlightment), growing up (developing in the way of thinking and interacting with the world. Spiral dynamics can help in this line), cleaning up (includes shadow work), and showing up. You can choose some point and go that direction and then change it. For example you can choose you want to be a monk and maybe a few years later you have other ideas of going and learning to be a public speaker or coach etc. Over time you will become closer to actualizing you LP.
  10. Hi, My name is tal and I live in Israel too. I'm faced with this kind of situation too. I think about it a lot these days and I have 3 options to serve in the IDF: 1. Academy - to sign a contract for 7 years to do a 2nd degree in Big Data and machine learning and to serve the army in these fields. The problem is it is not what I love to do even though I managed to do a degree in computer science while in high school which is quit rare, and my parents push me towards it. Pros: no risk of phisical injuries or death. Cons: I don't like doing it and it's opposed to my life purpose which is to build a transformative turquoise community inspired by the FindHorn Foundation(a turquoise community in Scottland) 2. Atuda- to sign a contract for 9 years to serve the IDF. In these 9 years I can learn a degree in psychology, physics or physiotherapy (one field) and then serve in that field. I'm also not drawn to that. Pros: no risk of phisical injuries or death. Cons: It's opposed to my life purpose. Not very interesting 3. To be a combat soldier for 3 years which is the default for men in Israel which are relatively healthy (I am). This means it's going to phisiologicaly and mentally hurt me( we will get 4 hours of low quality sleep each day, risk of phisical injuries and even death, no free time to do anything rather then obey the commanders). Pros: It's just 3 years opposed to the other two options which are 9 or 7 years. Cons: Risk of injuries or death. 4. No to serve the IDF but it will be hard and not legal. My intuition tells me to go to option 2 because learning psychology can be beneficial for my life purpose (although partially a waste of time). I would love to hear other ideas or suggestions, Tal
  11. I would like to have everyone on this forum share with us Examples of Existing Spiral Dynamics Stage Turquoise Communities that he/she discovered or have been to. The goal is to have a growing list of turquoise communities in different parts of the globe so that people interested of joining or visiting one would have the practical knowledge needed. I will edit this post to add the examples that you guys give or new examples I discovered. Holistic Centers Network : It brings together international centres and turquoise communities for Gatherings. The gatherings are opportunities for directors, managers and co-workers of holistic centres to connect with peers from around the world and share their centres’ experiences, perspectives and challenges, as they work together in the spirit of collaboration and mutual learning to strengthen the Network of Light. You can learn more here: https://www.centersnetwork.org/ There is already a long list of stage turquoise communities ( not all holistic centers have communities) in here: https://www.centersnetwork.org/directory/ You can check for a community that is close to your location and visit it if you are interested An example of a turquoise community from there is the Findhorn Foundation in Scotland, UK: https://www.findhorn.org/about-us/ There is also the Findhorn New Story Community that has a few events in different parts of the globe here: http://newstoryhub.com/resources/events/
  12. I used to check for new videos too and it became a negative habit because I wasn't conscious at the time
  13. Maybe a lifestyle center where you help people transform their lifestyle into a more conscious lifestyle. It can include a meditation course for example to help people integrate it into their daily lives. It can also have a nutrition retreat where you teach people healthy modern nutrition and then as a group you learn to cook a few healthy recipes that are fairly simple and applicable to change the actual lifestyle of people. It can also have a conscious fittness class where you learn for example to use mindfulness while walking, running, swimming or as a group sport. You can also have a regular fitness class (where people come once a week) where you teach the entire group to be conscious and loving while they do the exercises (such as walking, group dancing) There are a lot of options
  14. This is one of the best talks I watched ever. It integrates the perspective of zen master Doshin Roshi with the perspective of integral theory by Ken Wilber . It's a union of right brained enlightened master with a more theoretical thinking( Ken Wilber). I think Both of them are stage turquoise but each one takes a different approach and has different life experiences that led him to be stage turquoise. I love how at minute 20 Doshin Roshi wanted to stop Ken and to speak but he sees that Ken keeps talking so he waits patiently and listens fully to Ken until he finds another opportunity to speak. Its amazing how they both interact because of their different style and wisdom. You can see that Doshin Roshi has unconditional love and understanding for the whole, while Ken delivers knowledge and research into the theory of integral . It's quite amazing how much wisdom you can take from only the way Doshin Roshi talks. Add to that all the integral view of Ken!
