  6. I have to admit that the first time I saw this title, in my ignorance, I thought to myself: "this might be some weird post-modern label..." so could I be so wrong... this situation is very serious! Just try to imagine the government and/or private sector, willingly dumping pollution into areas where communities of color lives, which are "Chernobyl like" level of contamination... they even called them "Cancer Zones"! Very Critical and Very Informative! Some of the best contents presented by Last Week Tonight!
  7. a very nuanced documentary, talking about a vMEME Red Dictatorship
  8. Before I go any further, I just want to point it out that this is a very partial/atomized and incomplete view on how to perceive stupidity on others, but I decided to share here anyway because it may be helpful to a lot of you guys "for all practical purposes", when dealing with more pragmatic life situations that involves other people. That model consists of a chart with four quadrants, with the purpose ranking "the level of stupidity " of stupidity, by taking in consideration his actions/decisions as to whether one's actions/decisions is harmful to others and to himself or not... Now I want to point it out two major flaws that this model has on evaluating "people's stupidity": 1- It neglects the collective: he doesn't take in consideration the societal/cultural aspects the may influence one's perception towards reality, like for example if someone lives in a vMEME Blue ethnocentric environment, a lot of his dogmatic views/tendencies may lead him towards "stupid" conclusions... even the categorization of stupidity by itself is arbitrary, it is bound to a collective consensus of what consists as harmonious for our human wellbeing into this world... 2- it approaches reality in a very deterministic way: we, or at least most of us, do not have the gift of foresight, and sometimes we have do deal with a level of complexity in our lives that this kind of black-and-white thinking will not suits us at all! Reality can present us with non-linear and chaotic situations that will never fit with this model, because we'll not have the "perfect solution ", but the one that might lead us to the best possible outcome, in very specific timeframes(vMEME Yellow systems thinking)... But, even taking these flaws in consideration, I still believe that this model might be very good for us when dealing with minor issues, specially for people in the vMEME Orange spectrum, when dealing with more mundane life situations in their working environment for example. What I liked about this chart is that it points to something very important, that I've always had an intuition about it, but couldn't explain it quite well with words: which is that stupidity, and/or ignorance, is not tied to one's cognitive ability, someone can be very intelligent and still take stupid actions in their lives, and this chart presents us with a suggestion as to why this is the case, and that's why I think this might be a useful tool to share with you guys here?? Before I leave you, I'll present you, guys and gals, with an adaptation of the original chart, but this time presenting each quadrant with two distinct categories, one describes whether one's attitude is conscious or not when dealing with these issues.
  9. Although the issue at hand is a vMEME Orange problem, the message that these people were trying to convey, and the solutions that they are proposing for society, it's very vMEME Green.
  10. The best of vMEME Orange:
  11. Vice just uploaded a very good video about vMEME Green Anti-Vaxxers (and other fringy Orange and Blue)
  12. This song is so fucking edgy! It combines great skills, with a very fun and humorous vibe! I LOVED IT!!!?????
  13. I did not expected that level of wisdom coming from a Anime series, it's called Vinland Saga. And I'm still puzzled by some of the things that we're said on that scene... The core of his message reminds me a lot of what Leo taught in the 2nd part of his "What is Love?" series.. However, I disagree with what was said with regard to parental and passionate love as being JUST a form of discrimination... Yes, in the large scheme of things, it is discrimination, but it is so because we're bound to this dual reality, in which everything we do is determined by our ability to discriminate (a.k.a making distinctions) in this perceived world around us, and love will inevitably be the case by the majority of humans. But regardless of that, I still believe that parental/passionate love is an invitation to the experience of what Love can lead us to, even in its conditional/arbitrary form, as Leo said in his video. I want to know what you guys think of that? I thought about putting that video in the vMEME Turquoise mega-thread, but because I'm not very familiar with that stage, I decided to put it here instead, so that we could have a discussion about it.?? FUN FACT: the reason why this warrior got that mad was because he ate an Amanita Muscaria mushroom.
  14. (WARNING: this video is graphic, viewer discretion is advised) Spoiler Alert: the following video contains spoilers from the Invincible animated series. I generally don't like to give too many examples on the vMEME Red Mega-Thread coming from the industry (games and movies). Because they tend to bastardize a lot they're worldview, by means of irrational, excessive and pointless violence, just to make it look good on the screens... But this particular example is very illuminating, it shows very well the transition phase from vMEME Red to vMEME Blue, which occurs, in the words of Claire Graves, when Red reaches its peak and realizes that it is unsustainable to maintain that kind of attitude any longer, and the way that occurs is through guilt and shame for one's own actions towards others, that the harm inflicted on other people also affects him in the process, he also have a more tangible feeling of what mortality really means for us humans, making him/her much more cautious whenever he/she wants to take impulsive actions... Spoiler Alert: in case some of you guys did not understood what was going on in that video, that character is a "Super-Man" type of character, who was sent to Earth in order to colonize humans, and the other character (the one who's being beaten up) is his son, who tries to stop him from doing it.
  15. It takes a lot of skill and creativity to be able to design sound effects like that in a triple A production like the gaming and filming industry.
  16. This one is a little tough to pin down... But in my honest opinion I would put that in to the vMEME BLUE/orange category. Because although he's a life coach which is vMEME Orange goal/performance oriented, his method to approach this is by means of strict vMEME Blue Military Discipline (and teamwork, to some extent...). But I might be wrong about that... if you guys watched that video and have a different opinion, feel free to point it out??
