Self bias

1 post in this topic

People are often at their smartest and their stupidest at the same time.

This can be easily conceivable by the strong correlation between memorability and emotion, logic is very easy for people when there is something on the line, as in when they are themselves involved with its conclusion, yet this is also when they are the most biased against it.

When they learn to be less biased they can naturally think better on matters they already care for, not despite of but because of underlying emotions.

The trickster in this equation is even more valuable, that is: the 'opposite' is also true, the ease at which we remember by means of emotions distributes over a wider domain if given less self bias.
