"Most people live as if they're destined to live forever".

One of my favourite quotes.

My name is LifeLife. I am recently 19 years old, from Australia and I love the idea of self-actualisation. Ever since I came across Leo's channel I've been hooked. Like an audio book I love to listen to his fucking long ass videos! while I do things that would normally bore me (e.g chores)- it just makes time go by so much easier. (honestly highly recommend doing that if you find yourself lacking the time).

As for my interests in making this journal, to be quite honest I've always wanted to create blog but I've never really found a good website to plant my flag. I knew I wasn't looking for a cliché travel blog, or anything else for the matter so this forum came quite hand in hand given self-actualisation encapsulates pretty much everything I know I've now found what I've been looking for.

NOW. Changing topic a bit here.. I figured ( in my experience of searching for good forums ) not many people if all really post photos of how they're progressing, what they're doing,  where they've gone etc. In this thread I hope to change that; to show anyone who comes across this thread that self-actualisation is a very real and tangible thing, to show what results it can produce and what results I have produced by doing what I'm doing which I will also document.

Long Term Goals:

Enlightenment

Be fluent in 5 languages

Travel the world

Know how to defend myself

Become a Vegan

Develop a huge skillset

Have a fucking awesome beautiful girlfriend.

Become the strongest version of myself.

Grow spiritually

That's all l I can think of at the moment, i'm sure I will come up with more later. Anyway, keep in touch. If you enjoyed this thread leave a comment, if you have any feedback you want to give drop it in and yeah I'd love to interact with you guys !

Peace and love xx

Daily habits from now on:

  • Stretch twice a day, morning and night
  • Learn French using the Duolingo app (awesome if you haven't tried it)
  • Work (making that dough to pay off debt and expenses for when I go travelling soon)
  • Go out with people, meet new friends
  • Gym
  • Meditate (half an hour a day)
  • Read a book

(more to be added but this is just a start)

Updates:

I am going to be starting Leos 30 day meditation challenges as of tomorrow. I forgot which video it was on.. it could've been one of his videos on enlightenment where he talks about deeper meditation. I'm sure you can find it out

Also good news, I'm looking into meditation retreats to see where and where I can sign up.. I think I saw one near my house so that should be exciting. I shall be posting photos soon once I get the ball rolling. Anyway i'm off to meditate right now.

Peace and love xx

Interesting video of the day:

The information in this video will change a mans life. Worth a watch.

Wow brother you are definitely motivated for growth. Just a word of advice. Don't overwhelm yourself with accomplishments. Your 19 and your list seems long term. I suggest you pick 1, 2 or maybe 3 from that list and work hard to accomplish those goals first. Our egos can become very discouraged and give up on you if it doesn't get results in the short term. You'll feel much better once you've finished one before moving on to another. Good luck in your journey. Be content and find yourself.

Thankyou for the advice! I definitely understand what you mean though. I haven't actually made short term goals even though I am at the moment  incrementally moving towards my long term goals everyday, but I will be sure to do that now :)

You rock!

But as for the huge skillset you are striving for, never forget that it is always best to pursue complete mastery in one single area of your life. No one wants to be that jack of all trades that is mediocre at everything and good at nothing.

Now, please do not get me wrong! You can have a huge skillset, and you should. You should know a lot and be good at lots of stuff! But never forget to chose one skill to master it completely. Really you wanna have it both. One mastery skill and a lot of sideskills and side knowledge.

Peace bro!

I don't know what it is but something about typing down your thoughts is so therapeutic. Obviously it doesn't compare to real life communication but just expressing and streaming my emotions into words is a very addictive feeling. In light of recent excitement I've come the conclusion that I would love to keep writing these daily logs. Its definitely a habit that i am keeping, regardless of it's popularity.

In essence, I am excited to look into journalistic skills and find ways that I can improve on my writing - to make this blog experience feel fun to you as it does for me. To bring everyone up to speed; in the past few days i have

Secured a job
Re-joined the gym
Been learning French (20 minutes a day) of a really good app called Duolingo > seriously amazing if you want to learn any language.
Been meditating 20 minutes a day
Still have not fapped

Sooooo much more to come in these blogs I am only barely getting started.

Peace and Love xx

I'd just like to add a little something that I've discovered in my old age. I feel that each and every one of us are given what I'd like to call "natural" abilities. At an early age we may not know what these abilities are, so we will attempt any number of things in our search for truth and meaning. With trial and error, life experiences, and our continued striving for knowledge, these "natural" abilities will begin to shine through. These are what I consider our life's purpose.

That being said, as discussed before, These goals (actions) that you have set for yourself is your hunger for knowledge and self-improvement. Some of these goals you will succeed at, while others (sometimes many) you may miserably fail at. In stead of becoming discouraged with these failures just come to the understanding that in the bigger scheme of things, you weren't meant to attempt them in the first place. (Although we do still learn, even from our failures). Just a thought.

Hello yall! Keeping you all up to date to where I have been over the past couple of weeks, I have seen tremendous improvement in the quality of my life. Not only have I become used to feeling fulfilled off incremental steps towards my goals I have made new goals and my view on my beliefs and passions have become much more honed in on ever before. I have learned basic French so far, still learning to master a conversation but its on the horizon! Ironically not fapping has been the best thing that has ever happened to me. I have so much more energy and willpower to do more things. My gym progress has plateaued after tripling my strength so I am hopping onto a 5x5 program to progressively overload past it.

The lesson I guess I give at the end of this blog entry for anyone reading is that moving towards your goals is not an overnight thing as cliché as that sounds. If you can enjoy and embrace the incremental steps towards achieving your goals, remove procrastination AND REMOVE ADDICTIONS. Man I cant even stress how important this is for everyone. Most of us, and I speak mainly for the younger generation here like myself, have been baptised in the "magic pill" philosophy whether we consciously make the choice to do so. Out of this complete desensitisation to long term activities, we have become convinced that convenience is best. But you know what... fuck that. I challenge that view loudly and boldly I plant my flag, not wavering the slightest in my beliefs - if you want to achieve the best, you better be willing to put in the hard work and make it a passionate obsession to the point where everyday you wake up thrilled or else don't try at all. I believe that us actualizers need to rewire and reprogram our desensitised brain to reality. Make a complete 180 and commit to a life long journey of incremental success. If you join this journey - choose to make this U-turn I GUARENTEE you will find whatever it is your looking for. Anyway putting my thoughts out there, take it or leave it, your choice. but its time for us all to face the hard truth and not waste any more seconds of our day. !

REPLACE ALL addictions that give you instant gratification. If you are like myself then replace your current addictions with new ones that gear you towards self actualisation. Make a list right now of everything your addicted to that offers an immediate gratifciation - porn, Instagram, Facebook, tumblr, you name it. As charming as they may see anything of this nature will give your brain and inaccurate reward response to keep you stimulated and those dopamine receptors at work. and for the love of fucking god do not listen to what anyone has to say. Stop sharing your ideas with people, use the energy your penting up with passion towards taking action. Don't let these automated beings seduce you to their level with their dull, distasteful negativity. Show those motherfuckers what you can do, prepare for the crabs to try and pull you back into the bucket and conquer the world .

Peace and love brothers an sisters . I'm out. That's my rant.
