Hyper Normalisation 2.0

1 post in this topic

From tin t net.

I tried to post this on the other hyper normalisation thread but it wouldn’t let me for whatever reason, I don’t know, this forum acts weird sometimes.

To hypernormalise means to live in a state where everyone recognizes that a system, institution, or society is broken, corrupt, or fake, yet everyone continues to act and carry on as if everything is completely normal because they cannot imagine an alternative.

Shared Awareness: Everyone knows the truth—that the leaders are lying, the rules are hollow, or the institution is failing.

Performative Compliance: People go through the motions and play their assigned roles anyway.

Lack of Alternatives: A collective imagination fails, making it impossible to envision or push for a different way of living.

Apathy and Paralysis: The disconnect between reality and daily pretense leads to emotional detachment, resignation, and the feeling that "nothing ever changes.

Why am I totally free?  Because I have understood the unreality of (the) ‘I am’.
