IT/ICT internship

I am an undergrad ICT student, one of the best unis in my country (Poland). I also know that I am good at things that I do (for example, routing).

Some time ago I started applying for internships for all sorts of positions in the IT world (my major is kind of jack-of-all-trades). I have sent over like 30 applications, and none of the companies responded. (Waiting like 3 weeks now)

Is this normal to wait that long/get no response?

How much skill do I need to have to get an internship, or even an interview?

If you were in a similar position, share your experience! It would be a massive help to me to understand the realities of the process.
