you have to have deep roots seeping into hell if you want to climb the tree of enlightenment up to the very top, otherwise, the tree will fall and you won't make it.

Jesus simply teaches, more than others, much more, how miserable you are living within a dream and within your mind - you have to have a deep deep understanding oh how miserable you are, how you are in hell right now. This the push of hell to awaken, and when paired with the pull of heaven, it is enough to awaken.

The question of enlightenment is a question of motivation/choice/will/determination/total commitment.

You have to be very clear what you are choosing between - you can't mix up the two worlds - the world of heaven, which is abstract, formless, love, light, eternal, and the world of ego - the world of specifics, of thought, of concepts, of form, of darkness, of hate and evil, of pride and jealousy. The specific world of time against the abstract, eternal realm of Heaven. Those are the two world one must choose between.

And as long as your desire is split-  you will have split effects. Once your Will is unified - your awakening will be at hand. And the world will end. Crumble into dust. Dissolve into nothingness from which it came, and all you loved, all you hated, all you were - forgotten forever. Absolved completely. All the worlds, universes, and many many selves you had. That is the price of Heaven, and oh so cheap the price, considering the thing you get is nothing the Infinite, Blissful, forever Tranquil and Glorious Realm of God.

You recognize from your own experience that what you see in dreams you think is real while you are asleep. Is it not possible that you merely shifted from one dream to another, without really waking? (ACIM, T-10.I.2:1-6)
