Have you ever had this experience?

I don't share this with many people, but there was a time when the light disappeared from my eyes and every time I looked into someone else's eyes they were dark...there was nothing there. 

I believe I had been sent to Hell.

I believe we can experience Heaven and Hell in this realm.

Long story short, I managed to escape from Hell, and now I can see the light again.

It is shining bright!

I had made some bad decisions, and was isolated and using alcohol 

I believe that the world we see is a reflection of our own souls.

I suppose my soul was very dark at the time, and I was battling with demons (not metaphorical, literal demons).

how would you describe the experience of battling a literal demon? what makes you say the demons you battled were literal? and how is this a different experience from battling a "metaphorical" demon.

The demons were occupying my residence at the time. There were two of them. They came to me in the astral realm and tried to destroy me, sometimes impostering as dead relatives in order to deceive and manipulate me. At one point, one of them tried to reach into my heart and rip it out. It was the ugliest bastard I have ever seen. It was a putrid grey colour and it's skin was melting off it's bones. This was all very lucid. I'm not talking about hallucinations here.

I would say metaphorical demons are imagined, but these were totally real.
