  1. @Flow With Life Okay, thank you. I find your insight about the interplay of light (consciousness) and darkness (potential) very interesting. However, it is a little difficult for me to understand. Can you please elaborate a little bit on what you mean by the above quote? Also, do you literally mean everything outside of my awareness has no definite form?
  2. @Leo Gura I was going to keep my opinion to myself because I don't want to be a hater. But to be honest, I don't like the way you talk to some people around here. What makes you so damn special that you feel entitled to talk down to people? Maybe some honesty will do you some good.
  3. Leo doesn't have an energy problem he has an EGO problem. He thinks he knows it all and has it all figured out. It is easy to see. @Leo Gura Somebody had to say it.
  4. Exactly. Choosing a nihilistic/pessimistic outlook is not any wiser than a positive outlook on life. Yes. It goes very deep all the way down to the nature of the universe and our being.
  5. @Nahm I've noticed that you mention the uncertainty principle a bit. The uncertainty principle states that we cannot measure the position (x) and the momentum (p) of a particle with absolute precision. The more accurately we know one of these values, the less accurately we know the other. You make it sound like this principle is important and has significant real-world implications. Yet, I fail to see the significance. Can you please explain the importance of this principle to me and others? I honestly want to understand what I'm missing.
  6. @username Fuck yeah you have superpowers!!! Spread the word
  7. Such is life... Thanks for the response.
  8. I admire people like Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. People who devote their lives to a cause greater than themselves with the intention of making the world a better place.
  9. @Nahm So... I have studied the Law of Attraction and I learned about the Uncertainty Principle. My conclusion... Our thoughts are powerful. It is impossible to live a life characterized by positivity if our thinking is consistently negative. If you want to change your life from negative to positive then the first thing you have to do is change your thoughts so they are aligned with a positive life. The future is just a bunch of probabilities... our thoughts and actions determine which probability is actualized.
  10. In my opinion the main benefit of having a clear vision for your life is that it gives you direction. Your vision for your life can act as a kind of "North Star" for your life. For example, if the vision for your life is one of altruism, activism, and compassion. Then your life purpose and goals should align with this vision. If over time you find that your actions and beliefs are out of alignment with this vision (i.e. you have become selfish, self-centered, and are only concerned with your own well-being) then you know that you have lost your way. I don't think it is necessary to constantly review your vision for your life, but you should be certain of your life-vision and make sure that it is genuine and true. Once this vision is set then ingrain it in your mind and heart. Then... review your actions every now and then to make sure you're on-track.
  11. I agree honesty is of the utmost importance. However... to be honest can be scary. When you are honest with yourself you expose all of your lies and inconsistencies and are forced to face the truth. When you are aware of the truth you are forced to change... or live a lie.
  12. Action is more beneficial than contemplation. What is joy? Go do something enjoyable What is art? Go do some art What is love? Go fall in love What is fear? Go face your fears What is life? GO LIVE!!!
  13. For me spirituality is not about enlightenment. For me... meditation, self-inquiry, increased consciousness, a deeper connection with my higher-self... sets me free to live this life more fully. I wouldn't have the courage to take risks if I was too heavily identified with my ego. I would be too scared to step into the unknown if I feared death. Spirituality does not pluck you from the dream but it does provide you with the perspective needed to enjoy it.
  14. I have a good friend that lives in another state than me. I only meet up with my friend maybe once a year. During this meeting, he tells me about all of the events that took place in his life since we last met. Did the events described by my friend actually happen?
  15. This is true. My only word of caution would be... make sure the desire for safety and security is genuine and does not stem from a place of fear.
  16. You got it man! Lets do it up...
  17. @Garuda I recommend the book Peace is Every Step by Thich Nhat Hanh.
  18. @Echoes It is hard changing the world. The most we can do is transcend our own ego and exude positivity and compassion. By bringing our serenity to others we make a small but significant impact on the world.
  19. I agree the current state of the world is one of serious unrest. Greed and corruption is harming society... greed and corruption is the work of the ego. I agree that the ego does harm. However, on a personal level it is my opinion that people should be kind to themselves. I apologize if my last post was too confrontational.
  20. True What do you gain from having such a negative and antagonistic view of the ego? You're fucking yourself up for no reason. Stop it. You are not wise. You are depressed.
  21. @username Live and let live. No arguments from me.
  22. @Leo Gura I respect you for building a platform and having the balls to speak your mind. It is easy being a critic It is our responsibility to exercise judgment.
