  1. @charlie2dogs he didn't mention but this is from Leo's new video.
  2. http://livelearnevolve.com/10-mind-blowing-documentaries/ Not all of them can be watched on YouTube but they are defenetly all very good.
  3. @Kenya I could answer you 'yes' or 'no' and give you the reasons why. Would probably make more "sense" to you but the reality is I dont seem to be capable to create a beliefs system... so I cant give you an answer that straight foward. What I can tell you is I'm open to (un)believe everything and nothing Ps. I strongly recommend that book!
  4. You can perspective like this: Instead of life purpose think about the purpose of Life. If you are the universe itself, your purpose is expansion. But you feel conditioned to a body so you reach expansion through experience. In this experience you find preferences that make you happy (expand) and you can also feel unhappy (contract)... Following the preferences in the experience is a natural course of life but that doesn't make the purpose. Just be open to everything, remove your mind programs, choose to be led by love instead of fear and you will be always making your life purpose (expansion) happening. Hope it helps
  5. “When you go out into the woods and you look at trees, you see all these different trees. And some of them are bent, and some of them are straight, and some of them are evergreens, and some of them are whatever. And you look at the tree and you allow it. You see why it is the way it is. You sort of understand that it didn’t get enough light, and so it turned that way. And you don’t get all emotional about it. You just allow it. You appreciate the tree. The minute you get near humans, you lose all that. And you are constantly saying, ‘You’re too this, or I’m too this.’ That judging mind comes in. And so I practice turning people into trees. Which means appreciating them just the way they are.” Ram Dass I guess we all aim for this ability : not judge..accept the way things are. Not judge is impossible. Judgement is a tool of the mind that can help us and also harm us. We basically judge everything that our awareness catch and we label it as save, unsafe, pretty, ugly, like, dislike, good, bad and so on ..nonstop. and it gets even more judgmental when it comes to humans. I personally struggle with this. Feels like my hearth, soul and mind decide to worked together to judge in this point. And even if I think that is not affecting me, I look deeper and see that is actually causing me some pain. Practice turning people into trees is a lot easier than it was but still a lot of work to be done here..I guess because I also can't see myself as a tree yet Would like to hear your opinions about this. How you deal with the judgment that your mind does about yourself and others? Do you realise the judgments that cause you pain? How do you overcome it? Thanks guys
  6. Thats ok if you are in a phase of intense search for answers and absorbing new concepts that sudenlly are blowing your mind.. And you want more and more.. You get all this ideas bubbling in your mind..! quite normal really! Do what you think that makes you feel better or relieved. Perhaps having a break of searching will be a good thing. Notice really careful your thought process to realize that. And question, is this forum really helping you? Are you learning and feeling better about yourself? Are you able to put this learning in your daily life? If not why? What is the root of this fear?
  7. Hey guys, In the past few years I've met a lot of people that like me search for what we could call spiritual growth. I want to share with you all what I find to be the most common mistakes that people do (including myself in some aspects) in this "path" 1. Trying to stay happy all the time. Because that's what society tell us to be..always fukin happy right! We avoid unconfurtable situations, overwhelming emotions.. we prefer to believe that everything is good, we supress what is uncomfortable instead of meditating in the feeling that cause us pain and embrasse it. Pain and fear are just feelings that exist in the universe the same as happines and joy! Accept it and dig on them the same way you do with happiness. 2. Using the mind constantly to come up with a logical or philosophic understanding of spiritual growth instead of EXPERIENCE IT! sit still..meditate.. 3. Devotion to spiritual leaders and constant neediness of their teachings. Is great to listen this amazing people and I'm grateful for everything I've learned but in the end of the day the most important tool and only to reach spiritual growth is YOU. Be autonomous on this. 4. Do not live or act according with their beliefs. If you love cows why do you still eat them? If you believe in freedom of choice why do you get angry when your boyfriend goes to a friends house without you? If you love being outdoors why you always choose to sit in the couch in your free time? A mind full of ideologies but that don't practice them is like, as we say in my country, trying to fill a broken plastic bag with water...haha. Matching your internal world with your external world and vice versa is for me the most essencial aspect of self actualization. Be honest with yourself, accept your vulnerabilitis and become what you believe. I hope this topic help someone. And of course this is just my perspective from my experience. Would like to hear your thouthgs on this subject...what your experience tells you about this? Have a nice day everyone
  8. @Toby there is indeed a lot of spiritual leaders with kind eyes taking advantage of this spiritual boom.
  9. Thanks for your comment. Very insightfull. I never met anyone that doesn't judge. That's our ability to read the world around us and protect ourselfs.. doesn't have to be particurally bad! Otherwise for example i would walk in a poor neiborhood with 1milion dollars in my hand thinking that nobody would robe me right? And why don't we? Or how someone became our friend? Some judgment made us realized that this person was nice to us. What I feel is more like even if the judgment is good or bad is still there.. usually along with my caring side. Doesn't affect me in a deeper sense of inner feeling but influence my decisions and acts.
  10. "Monkey chatter" is your mind, "I" is the experience of awareness. It's different things. The problem I see now is that you are using your mind too much..thinking too much about concepts.. if you don't hold on to anything at all for a second you will feel the presence of "I". People sometimes hold onto too many concepts, techniques, theories etc to reach enlightenment.. which makes the mind take control even more, confusing experiences.. Don't hold to anything at all, let everything pass through like you are witnessing from a outside perspective.. even what others tell you about enlightenment
  11. "Know this. When you say "I", The true meaning of "I" is joy, It is happiness, it is life, And it's also the witnessing of life!" Mooji Hope this simple words help giving you a new meaning to the word I..
  12. Defining enlightenment as a point of achievement is a linear construct of the mind, because what you percive as enlightenment is just another concept of the mind associeted with emotions..which makes it therefore unobtainable. it is not "achieved" by thinking your way there but being your way there.
  13. I personally practice transcendental meditation combined with my own version of meditation that I discovered that works for me the best. Transcendental meditation is basically the silent repetition of a mantra that your TM teacher gives you in a week course.. of course there is more to understand than that. This meditation is practiced 20min twice a day. Before jumping into a meditation I start with my eyes open for several minutes and breathing deeply to settle my mind in. I found that the mantra helps me to focus my awareness for the first 15 min of my meditation when I feel more unsettled.. then I stop using mantra at all.. (Unless my mind is really active that day). After more or less this period of time my focus becomes the space between my eyebrows .with the head slightly upwards. If im in a public space or waiting somewhere and there is noise around me I like to listen binaural beats
  14. When you are focused in a task your mind is absorbed by it. The same when you are watching a movie for example your awareness is there. Sometimes in and out..(depending on the interest of the movie) When i feel disturbed by thoughts that come from a place that pull me away from my full potential I usually practice very simple exercises for a few seconds: Look at an object or form around me and focused on the shape colour and the aura space around it See from above my head when I'm doing a task Close my eyes for few seconds and find the presence inside me that is unchagable and impossible to disturb. Tell to my self "I'm not this body not even this mind"
