  1. Verbal crutches. The one I hear often is: " ... I mean ... " and I wince when I find myself using it accidentally.
  2. "There are many craftsmen who paint pleasantly the surface appearances and are very clever at it. There are always a few who get at and feel the under-current, and these simply use the surface appearances selecting them and using them as tools to express the undercurrent, the real life. If I cannot feel an undercurrent then I see only a series of things. They may be attractive and novel at first but soon grow tiresome. There is an undercurrent, the real life, beneath all appearances everywhere. I do not say that any master has fully comprehended it at any time, but the value of his work is in that he has sensed it and his work reports the measure of his experience. It is this sense of the persistent life force back of things which makes the eye see and the hand move in ways that result in true masterpieces. Techniques are thus created as a need. It is necessary to work very continuously and valiently, and never apologetically. In fact, to be ever on the job so that we may find ourselves there, brush in hand, when the great moment does arrive. It is very possible that you know all these things and know them to be true. I simply recall them to you, to make them active again, just as I would like you to recall them to me, for sometimes our possessions sleep."
  3. It resonates with what I read. this realization is not a bang, it's something else closer to a whimper
  4. https://biblehub.com/interlinear/ezekiel/1-14.htm " ... the living ones were rushing and returning ... " https://biblehub.com/interlinear/genesis/28-12.htm " ... the angels of God were rising and falling ... "
  5. Pay attention to the way the word, Love, is articulated. It's not arbitrary. The tongue moves up and connects to the teeth above The vocal cords are activated in a low register The tongue drops, the jaw drops, and the lips form into a relaxed circle, all at once The lower lip rises to meet the teeth above The lower lips and teeth vibrate joining with the vocal cords The edges of the teeth above correspond with the infinite-one. Articulating "love" is brining two distinctly different types of multiplicity, the wiggly-tongue and the ubiquitous lips, in contact with a sharp-pointy-singularity. The contact is vibration. On-off-on-off-on-off. And the vibration is occurring, in two very different ways.
  6. "... this is the way the world ends. Not with a bang, but with a whimper." - T.S. Eliot, The Hollowmen
  7. In total, considering it all, evil is never good, but, evil can and is being nullified. The nullification of evil is certainly good, always and forever.
  8. Hence the western inclination to demonize it. Literally.
  9. With respect: experiencing is a function of consciousness. Ego is a motive, but unlike the others, it's a motive for motives. It's "amplifying" . it's the primordial source of "MORE". Ego is the "wind in your sails". Ego "fans the fires of your desire". Christian doctrine associates this power with Satan, the Prince of the Air.
  10. ..., a total explosion of freedom AND restraint. The power is simultaneously extroverted AND introverted, exploding AND contracting. The contractions are shaping the myriad of manifestations. Arguably, the contractions are far more powerful than the expansion, because the singular nearly infinite expression of power is subservient to the many.
  11. Contrary to popular belief: seeing is deceptive.
  12. The method I use is simple: I find what I want in the nearly limitless lexicon of ideas, aka "The heavens". Then I conjure a future-possible-world which includes the desired outcome in my mind's eye, After that, manifesting the desired outcome is a matter of charting a course between where I am now and the future-possible-world which possesses the desired outcome. then, follow through. The technique is referred to as "bringing it down [ from the heavens ]" For desires which do not exist within a future-possible-world, I skip over the physical manifestation itself, and seek its essential nature as it is manifesting elsewhere in some other future-possible-world.
  13. Accountability is binary, isn't it? Regardless, the notion of imagining myself cheating is repugnant without very good reasons. And in that case, I do it, with fair warning, then turn myself over to the authorities.
  14. "The remedy for stinging-nettle is found with the nettle itself."
  15. I think there's an important distinction between "unity" and "uniting". The content of my post relies on this distinction. If so, what I'm hoping to share is this: There cannot be "uniting", ( the primordial on-going event which is at the root of nearly everything ) lacking an outeaching, benevolent motive. This specific motive, outreaching and benevolent, both simultaneously, is the thing, for lack of better words, commonly referred to as "Love" or "Loving".
  16. interesting i read the entire post prior to this as hopeful, not hopeless I hope we are just like grass ... I hope it's not crucial or important. I hope it just happens. { see what I mean? Odd, isn't it? } I hope it doesn't matter it if continues or stops. I hope it doesn't matter if reality is understood or not, or if you keep trying I hope the fame a fortune won't matter or eating healthy and exercising. I hope the meditation, yoga, and and spiritual practices neither. I hope nothing will save us, not knowing, not, enlightenment, not not knowing. See it? The disjunct is reconciled because, what's written is hopeful, which explains and is consistent with the sensation of relief accompanying it. What if, plot-twist, your hope is hiding in plain sight?
  17. ? Love is not unity ? ? Love is uniting ? If so, the reconciled assertion reads as follows: "Love is uniting. It's the absolute creating power that is emerging from the unlimited." Thoughts?
  18. Unity lacking love isn't unity. It's subjugation. It's conquering.
  19. ... a collection of improbables ... gathering over time
  20. Nice one! Here's something light-hearted, just for fun Quintessential Optimism vs. Pessimism
