  1. Maybe it does realise it, but it can’t reason its way out of it. All animals are beings of need - they need so they do. Humans, ideally, should be beings of reason, reasoning our way through life
  2. Right - but how long until you want to just be, away from the tension/feelings/awareness/reconciling that occurs as a result of the rising and falling of the thoughts in your brain It’s the natural path - I will deal with something until it becomes unreasonable And it will become unreasonable eventually, that’s why people turn to external substances/people for help
  3. I was talking about God - the infinite intelligence I thought you were talking about. But a caterpillar does possess possess will, it wills to eat leaves, to make the cocoon. It’s just not will like ours, it’s not reasoned will, it’s just animal will, it’s just base desire
  4. Yes but there is a will, no? The intelligence precedes the will. Think about it - without a controlled will and just infinite intelligence, the world would be filled with chaos, each fragment of it vying to be the actual There wouldn’t be mutual ground upon which we can converse, it would constantly be psychosis-like conversations where one person is at one end of the spectrum and the other at the other
  5. I know, right? A name for it is possible in my opinion, but I/we are just not there yet, so the closest approximation I can make is ‘isness’ lol Existence is kinda it, but existence is quite broad Either way, the isness/root/essence/truth of a thing should always be able to be ascertained. If it’s not, it’s being blocked by something which is where judgement comes in - should I act/leave it/investigate etc
  6. @Hojo My opinion is that there was some thought that went into it. My understanding is that he converts what was at first a thought of his into reality, manifesting it from his mind into actuality. It’s the only thing I can reconcile - he thought to do, then he did Otherwise he’s an animal with base instincts, just doing constantly without the reasoning capabilities required when dealing with randomness
  7. I'll give you one weirder - according to the Bible and the Qur'an, the origin of humankind was sent down from heaven for committing the sin of eating from the tree. That same God subjected the descendants of humanity's origin to tough times, calling it having to toil in the fields instead of being served by the environment (sic) in the Bible and sent down as enemies to each other in the Qur'an. We are being punished for our ancestor's choice to eat from the tree that was prohibited. According to religion. Weird, huh?
  8. Brilliantly said. To add to it, what is resides in the present, and being in the present is how we reach the past or the future. But, more specifically, the present is where the truth is, and the truth, while powerful, should be combined with light, a perfect equilibrium where truth consumes your energy and light gives you your energy, rendering you stable and able to remain in the present. Which is where isness is, like you said, and how we can actualise our potential.
  9. AI should be used for investigating things, not as a compadre. Use it to investigate yourself and your life, as well as things from life itself, like educational topics, information about things or even jokes, and learn more about yourself from the prism that is a tool that synthesises from the vast, vast provisions of knowledge it has been trained on. ChatGPT can be a little soulless now, because it used to be extra sycophantic (primarily because OpenAI wanted it to reel in users through feelings, not be objectively responding to what people said), but it does a great job at deciphering things that affect/interest you in ways you either don't want to, can't, or haven't reached yet. Don't look to it as a companion, look to it as an enhancement that contributes to your am, your ability to be, through the provision of syntheses and knowledges that are, for a variety of reasons, not initially on your agenda.
  10. Introverted people are people who tend to focus on appreciating things. They weigh experiences as well as they can, resulting in less room for spontaneity, which is a huge drain on their resources as they are focused on if they should do the thing or not, rather than not thinking about it too much, like extroverts do. As for your question: Choose to be as social as you can. Not what you want or think - choosing to be as social as you can be results in no regrets and satisfaction at having fulfilled your self-imposed quota, which will directly impact how happy you are. I did everything I could protects your psyche from untold damage, unlike its counterpart I could've done more but... Can means your own capabilities + societal constraints that exist for a light-filled interaction In discovering your own capabilities, you will be on your journey, and if you are on your journey, all sorts of occurrences will happen, and some of them might just be what you're looking for. Protect yourself by staying reasonable.
  11. "Do things open up" is a little vague for me to answer, but I can say that resting in I am, profoundly places the person closer to real than unreal on the spectrum of truth. There is a caveat, that people may not like your am, tempting you to abandon it in favour of social graces, but I have found that being real outweighs anything that is unreal - tangibly. When you witness something that is closer to unreality, your am acts as an anchor and refuses to allow you to betray your truth/self by purporting to be something you are not, thus protecting you and keeping you solid, while potentially begetting conflict that arises, despite your not having done anything to deserve it. Feelings dictate action in the observer of you and your am. The way to counter this conflict is to direct your am to provide reassurance to any who witness it that you do not intend to harm them at all. This may be tough to achieve for some, but it vindicates you from being a malicious seeker of amness, doing it just to have power over others, and places you firmly in the category of a real human being. As for it being the root of everything, remember that it is the root of your everything - just like my am is the root of my everything. Life is the nuclear fusion of atoms, where the atoms are each person's am, meeting in an explosion of joy, delight, happiness, if the atom is stable. If unstable, only negativity will ensue.
  12. Truth is always in the present. So it's not what you will do as a separate notion from the present, it's: "Truth has opened me to my being, a position of x. What comes next is x + action(s), that always contribute further to the expression of my being. These expressions will always be in my present, and in the now that I share with others." This is why through truth we are able to live, and without truth we can only imagine.
  13. I'm more inclined to the concept of abandoning every identity that I am not. The false self is the root of the ego. Thinking one is x when they are y results in the false self being propagated and it becomes the face of the person - and because it is not truthful, it opens the door to a host of issues, all related to delusion/fantasy. It is my hope that people are able to reach the milestone of knowing themselves as x when they are x. But discernment is a weight most choose not to bear. For a variety of reasons. But yeah - I believe real spirituality lies in knowing myself in truth, as opposed to an imitation at knowing myself. And that is via negating everything I am not, and affirming everything that I am, at least in private. Maybe in public. If it won't be misconstrued.
  14. I like this, it is very true that we are separate from our experiences, but entangled in them. I was once asked by someone "how do I follow my feelings?" and I told her to just let them exist, trying to follow them or affect them would result in her wanting to tear her hair out. She didn't listen and she made a decision that she now regrets. What I have found is that in the throes of distraction, one can easily forget that they are not what they are consuming. The danger is, the clinging happens when the experience/belief/idea/thought is so attractive to a person that they replace their concept of self with the thing itself, setting their course for the acquisition of that thing at any cost. Might be an extreme, but it happens. Your approach is solid, but it will only result in more things coming your way as the continuum (everything) discovers you are capable of more and so will send more things your way. I have found that these things are usually not to my liking - for me it's like Sisyphus, trying to help those who don't want the help. Maybe your experience will be different. I doubt it. Because once you awaken to wanting your own life, tolerating those who have their own life and still can't do anything with it will affect you greatly. Perhaps you'll be able to negate your self for them. I couldn't and won't.
