  1. He sells guided meditations and books, but he doesn't hide his 'enlightenment sauce' behind a paywall.
  2. He sells stuff, but not enlightenment. I quit looking into Tolle, I don't mean it as an attack.
  3. I'm just asking for a person, like a video of someone explaining something profound. No. They don't sell enlightenment. Even Sadhguru helps people, I like his teachings actually. I don't think their enlightenment is from spiritual experience. I'm skeptical about Tolle and Ramana being enlightened. I think you can grow from spiritual experiences.
  4. So, you would take time from enlightening people for environmentalism? I just don't think so.
  5. I still say you're making a false dilemma, it's irrelevant how one becomes enlightened, what's relevant is if Sahdgurus method works, if it does, well awesome I apologize. Just show an example that it does though, because that's what it's sold as. I think spiritual enlightenment is fake. I believe in all the different radical spiritual experiences and agree with you about doing them safely, that's not the issue I have with this.
  6. I mean, Europe is letting him bomb civilians in international waters with absolutely zero recourse, the peace prize would be mild in comparison. It's a piece of metal, they're negotiating trade with him watching him murder civilians.
  7. "Sadhguru's retreats, particularly his flagship Inner Engineering program and the advanced Samyama retreat, claim to be technologies for inner well-being that can bring about a range of physical, mental, and spiritual benefits. The programs emphasize that participants can "engineer" their internal system—their body, mind, emotions, and energies—to function as they desire, rather than being at the mercy of external situations." "Profound inner transformation: Helping participants transcend the limitations of the body and mind. Heightened states of consciousness: Achieving deeper meditative experiences and higher states of awareness." "Experiencing the beyond: Serving as a gateway to subtler realms of experience and becoming more aware of what exists beyond the physical and psychological dimensions." "Scientific scrutiny: Some scientific studies have been conducted and promoted by the foundation to support the health benefits of its practices. However, other studies examining Inner Engineering have had mixed results, with some finding no significant difference between participants and a control group. " If a used car salesman sells you a car as a "mint luxury sports car", and it turns out to be a bit crappy, the car still 'helped' you, it kept you from walking, but he still conned you. Why do you think Leo took his course? To meditate? Sahdguru claims to be enlightened, leading others to this. If you can enlighten people, everyone on the planet will be an environmentalist. There would be no need for him to charge Leo just so he can plant trees.
  8. Again, that's great. Does he make people enlightened, does he teach others how to do this teaching, If so, what need is there to hide it and charge for it?
  9. Sahdgurus teachings are absolutely beneficial to the world, don't get me wrong, I liked him for a long time, but that's not what is being discussed here, school teachers do great work too....
  10. I will be grateful if you show me that.
  11. If he would cure masses of people of this 'mental illness' that retards society, why would we need an environmental Sadhguru, everyone would be an environmentalist.
  12. He was circumcised, clear case of Autism... RFK Jr. Has 'linked' circumcision to autism now.
  13. He proclaims to have the cure for a widespread mental illness ----> take a mentally ill person, make them better. Everyone will flock to you, rinse and repeat, the world is saved, no need to steal money from Leo to plant trees in a forest to offset @Salvijus carbon footprint he creates making money to take Sahdgurus Kriya course. No.
  14. 'Heal' some people, and make it out in the open. Everyone in the world will flock to you. You insinuated that I said he must be poor, a false dilemma you tried to make.
  15. This is a false dilemma fallacy. I didn't say sadhguru should be poor. If he can cure people it should be open-source and prolific. He's obviously a materialistic con-man.
  16. He's a millionaire, if he can cure mental illness why isn't he sharing it for free?
  17. Then for "coping" I would focus on your own life, improving your own life, and finding things you enjoy.
  18. Anyone that claims to be enlightened and then proceeds to commence business to help people leave their "mental illness", is mentally ill. Sadghuru apparently needs to take his own Kriya course..... Sadghuru is a materialist, look at his personal life.
  19. Can you finish and pass with low effort? If so, do that and spend more energy on other things.
  20. It's a cycle of sickness, the parents were brought up this way. The parents grew to be deviants, and now they're terrified of their deviance for their child so they teach the 'prevention' method they were taught. I've seen healthier forms of Christianity though. But this is what I have seen as the 'typical' American Christianity.
  21. I said USA is bad, but attacking a murderous dictator is not as bad as attacking a fairly civil democracy like Putin did. Not a puppet state, adjacent but not quite. Iraq has more autonomy, Ukraine would not.
  22. Not true. Perhaps a translation problem here. This is just idiotic. We're talking about kids, stupid christian american parents don't let their kids express themselves or explore for example in the arts or how to dress or what to study or do. Here's a roughly but fairly typical Christian American upbringing ' Timmy, you gotta be quarterback, Lisa, you gotta be prom queen. Lisa, you need to smile more. Lisa, put down that basketball, no boy is going to want marry a dike. Timmy, what are you doing with this art, it's gay, go lift weights you're scrawny. Timmy, that shirt is gay. Lisa, hoodies hide your figure, don't wear those.' There's a lot of different experiences but this is actually a lot of what I've seen living in the Bible belt my entire life, having christian family members, being friends with Christians dating christians, working with christians. The hypersexualizing and repression from American Christians is from parents hypersexualizing life, essentially, and then the things they themselves do or glamorize are "off limits" and "too naughty" for the children. It's dangling something in front of someone, saying it's good but you can't have it. It's retarded, christians think that if something is 'Sin' that it is enjoyable. Generalizing, of course. What enlightenment teaching? I'm not spiritual. I believe people with all their different spiritual experiences, but spiritualism is no interest to me. I follow philosophy; Socrates, Aurelius, Pythagoras, the stoics, the enlightenment thinkers, Sun Tsu, ...... I don't do psychedelics or anything like that. I believe in infinity, because it makes sense, it's obviously true. And I even believe there's infinite actual radical spiritual experiences, but what's more powerful is infinity, and I have no interest in spirituality, spirituality is a kind of tourism. I don't think so, I don't believe religious people ever figure 'it' out. Religion is about controlling stupid people, with lies and manipulation. I haven't demonized religion, I disparaged American Christianity. I think you're telegraphing again. Religion is amazing, for controlling the idiots, no I've 'demonized" religion. I actually find some spiritual practices to be beautiful too, even American Catholic rituals, it's like coyotes howling together. Definitely NOT. Written by rulers.
  23. That's not religion, that's legalism. I spend little time thinking of sex, never got into pick up, porn, talking about that stuff, been with very few women, no std,.... the people I know like that are 'Christian', actually, my secular friends are not like that, I wouldn't be friends with people like that. You're spewing religious propaganda, based in fiction. The people that go wild tend to be those from repressive upbringing Best to be atheist, so that you think rather than live reactively, that's what the wild people are doing, reacting to their repressive past. An atheist almost certainly must ask "is God real", "am I certain God isn't real". A religious person cannot ask if God is fake, because they can never have ANY proof their God is real, if they questioned, it would all fall a part. An atheist can answer' I don't know if God is fake, but where is proof of the God they speak of?' You cannot be an atheist after realizing God, but how can you realize god if you never question your belief of a supposed God? People like Pascals wager FOR religion, but don't think about the implications of not questioning a fed belief, it's like saying 'I believe in god' is a magical statement or belief, but what is god that you believe in, what do you even mean? Usually just a white robed man in the sky, lolz. God isn't even a word that any founder of any major religion ever even used.
  24. Live your life as an example, a role model. Teach life skills. I'm not sure the exact problems you're referring to, but if there's a way to recover, like how to have a 'positive' perspective. And be loving.
  25. Saddam mass murdered people, and the u.s. was not trying to own iraq. The U.S. is bad, Russia is worse. U.S. was much worse 50 years ago, Russia was even worse then too. NATO is not a threat to Russian state, nato is threat to Russian expansion. otherwise they would be preparing for offensive toward Russia right now.
