That'd be cool.

Canada is much colder than Arizona, per energy code you'd need a 5 foot thick wall(per cursory Google search) So the adobe will last๐ช. It will have some weight to it and slowly break and slide down, pulling on the thatching's weaker attachment. A light gauge wire mesh/fencing(called lathe) screwed over the thatching might be a better idea. I suppose you could use jute/hemp if you're opposed to the metal, maybe some white oak pegs.
-
Simplest is formaldyhyde-free fiberglass(interior insulation)
-
Thatched roofs are common in Denmark, last a long time too. The cheapest way to do adobe exterior finish, with your hardwood interior, would probably be thatched straw wall insulation, and add a cheap hanger similar like this one to add vertical load strength for the adobe. Normal bricks are just clay(fired)
-
Also, you could post on eco groups and forums, when you get your plans approved, and people will come help you build this. This would be cool as shit. Look up "thatching", "waddle and daub" "adobe" Perhaps, instead of cleats and thatch, a straw bale construction type of exo-construction, you could do essentially an elevated concrete sidewalk around the house and essentially just stack straw bales then mud them, some type of additional framing in there and tied back to the main structure occasionally. "How to Use Adobe Finish in Quebec:Protection from Moisture: As discussed on Permies, traditional earthen plaster can be used, but it must be applied over a substrate that meets local codes, such as Jumbo Tex (15-lb roofing felt), to handle Quebec's wet, cold climate.Waterproof Plastering: Use earthen plaster reinforced with lime or emulsion to ensure durability against rain and snow, ensuring the mixture is designed to withstand moisture.Foundation and Structure: Ensure a concrete foundation rises at least 6โ12 inches above the finished ground level to prevent capillary action and moisture wicking from the ground.Roof Overhangs: Design roofs with significant overhangs (eaves) to keep rain and snow away from the adobe walls, as recommended by Quentin Wilson."

"Straw bales typically offer an insulation value of R-2 to R-3 per inch of thickness, " "Quebec, according to industry standards. Minimum requirements often fall around R-19, "4-inch log wall typically has an R-value between R-4 and R-5.6." ~7" straw

Watch some straw construction videos. Lookup your building code, check required wall r value, to figure out how to achieve that with straw. The logs will add rvalue by the way. That company that sells the logs should give you a drawing for their part. Then you just draw an insulation and cladding drawing. It would probably be some type of wire cleat, whatever you find cheap, that will hook out from the logs and provide lateral support for the straw assembly. But, just lookup your code, watch some videos, draw a crude drawing and post it on here and I'll help you. You can do it(the drawing). It does not need to be this graphic. Black and white. Microsoft Paint or whatever, or pencil and paper for now.

Yep Straw is a measured insulation in code books, it has a recognized r-value. Cladding and insulation are very flexible areas in building codes.
-
You actually likely can do that. You have to do a core structure that follows zoning laws, but you should be able to get approval for that as cladding and insulation. So, you could do the lincoln log style video house, then this outside that.

How could you not be? If you can exist, why would anything, ANYTHING, not be able to exist? This means infinity, everything, every which way, exists. If you can exist, why would there be any rules, how would any constraint on infinity make sense. Control, or free will, magic ability; in infinity everything happens: you're a boring layman, you're a magician, you're a transvestite, you're a Muslim, you're a Muslim hater, a trans hater,...... everything, opposites, forward and backward, upside down. Why wouldn't it be that way, look at life, if life can exist why wouldn't everything every which way be able to exist or happen? Who makes that rule, and if something makes that rule that something can break that rule. How do you know your thoughts are under your control, your will, anymore than the moon going around the earth? The part that trips people up about all this, mainly free will, is that time isn't real, there's nothing happening successively, everything already is, every different scenario. This tends to be hard to understand. Think of it like, what is the true beginning and end of time, then, what is before the beginning of time? What's after the end of time? It's obviously a nonsensical question, why? Because there's obviously no beginning or end, this means infinity, which means everything is, and time isn't ultimately a thing, because infinity means everything happens all at once, nothing at all ever happens, and every number of things in between. So, back to free will, 1.) How do you know you create your thoughts? 2.) Everything is all at once, theres no time, so every choice/decision already is(and isn't). If anything exists, everything can/will/does exist; where the fuck is the retarded rule book that says something can't happen, how could a rule of the universe/life/infinity happen? Look around you, how could there be any rule to all this, if this can exist, what sense is there believing there's a rule or limit? -

China may start moving on Taiwan and Philipines to weaken U.S. on Hormuz.
