The cheapest way to do adobe exterior finish, with your hardwood interior, would probably be thatched straw wall insulation, and add a cheap hanger similar like this one to add vertical load strength for the adobe. Watch some straw construction videos. Lookup your building code, check required wall r value, to figure out how to achieve that with straw. The logs will add rvalue by the way.
