You can't provide an example so we can see what you're talking about? Rape SHOULD be demonized.
-
Can you give an example of the cancel-culture you're referring to?

There is risk with gerrymandering. If they gerrymander too much they risk losing more seats, considering not all voters are reliably red or blue, and given the outcome of gerrymandering tends to result in an unhappy electorate regardless of whether they oppose gerrymandering itself. You might be surprised how many Democrat voters there are in red states, let alone anti maga non-democrats. Texas may have already blundered their redistricting in favor of democrats. Texas has fully-gerrymandered the last elections, they would have gerrymandered more before but they didn't have the electorate to gerrymander anymore, they still might not. Consider they are using 2024 election results to draw these maps, but that was when biden was in with inflation, Trump is in now, with inflation and a ton of other stuff. I read an article that estimated IF the Texas gerrymandering is successful, Democrats would only need 3% over the national popular vote to win the house. That's hardly democracy ending.

Ya, but what leads you to believe this, the 'nazi' ICE raids?
-
Because of the ICE roundups? I disagree
-
Do you think either of them read the book? I don't. These people are stupid. Stephen Miller is a nazi. Absolutely. The problem is, take the common person, the audience of your "Nazi" claims, what do they mean by nazi, gas chambers in my opinion. Republicans are fascists, corrupt, oligarchs, anti-constitution, anti-freedom, anti-elections, liars, violent,.... Republican.
-
Absolutely, but don't call a spade a wolf, don't cry wolf. Nazi, means gas chambers typically, do you think we're headed that way? I don't. Republicans are bad, but don't overplay your cards and embellish what's going on or people will dismiss ALL of your concerns.
-
'Republicans' I still think 'nazis' is a small minority of Republicans. Republicans are corrupt white nationalists.

Knowing only what you know right now, would you pay $3,500(33,000 Swedish Krona) for an advanced Sadhguru retreat, if that was within your personal budget? Would you buy a $3,500 Spira retreat, if it would also be within your budget? -
They don't to me. I would hazard a guess that they do to you because they're so emotional and reactive.

Do you know who Rupert Spira is, at all? If so, Do you think Spira's and Sadhguru's retreats would be very different?(aside from no yoga), in regard to 'raising consciousness'. -

I have no ill will toward you, but I'm probably just not going to talk to you, it's like we're from two different planets. -

I appreciate any advice, you know more about certain things than I do. I wasn't trying to argue, I don't like arguments, i was trying to have a conversation. I still feel like I have the strong position on this though, lol, always did, still don't see how you disagree. -

You shouldn't try to read minds at all. I don't know what to tell you, I thought I gave simple explanations, and I only gave examples("facts") when you asked for them. Didn't use chatgpt, it's like we read two different conversations. Sorry for being mean, sincerely, you didn't deserve that. -
Elliott replied to Hojo's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
I was asking sincerely. I didn't even post any facts let alone "dig them up". Bro, you think you're a mind reader, you're a poor communicator, ask clarifying questions instead of assuming and just attacking. -

This isn't pedantic? We misunderstood eachother. When you posted that study, I thought you were saying it indicated enlightenment. I admitted Sadhgurus work helps people, I even said I like his teachings. -

I don't understand what your viewpoint is; are you saying you think Sadhguru means he can raise consciousness in people, but he doesn't mean completely, he just means raising it some, in people, and that cures the "mental illness" he always speaks about? -
Elliott replied to Hojo's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Carl-Richard why do you keep asking me questions? Not that I don't want you to, I'm asking sincerely. It seems like a waste of time and energy from what you're saying. -

@Salvijus @Ishanga would you pay $3,500 for a Spira retreat? If not, would you mind giving a brief reason as to why? Please and thank you. -
Elliott replied to Hojo's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
By "mental illness", you don't think Sadhguru is talking about enlightenment? Are you familiar with how he uses the term "mental illness"? -

Can you embolden a part that i dropped?Or a contradiction I had in those responses? What "I wasn't claiming" were clearly assumptions by you, I never said spiritual teachers shouldn't charge, I never said Spira enlightens people, I never said Spira was a better teacher. I don't think people can lead others to enlightenment. 'There is no sailor', it's more like Musk saying I'll fly you to mars, or I want to fly people to mars. You're again superimposing assumptions onto what I've said. Consider my critiques are not ad hoc. Do you not think you're strawmanning me at all? In regard to being considered a conman? Yes, language is very critical. Do you think Spira leads people to his resort stays the same way Sadhguru does? Do you think most students from either would go to the other's? I don't. Consider Sadhguru's audience, not you, reading and hearing these things I 'pedantically' point out. Then do Spira's, you see no difference?
