During combat you burn a TON more fuel, jets and destroyers, you have to constantly move fast, and they are flying hundreds of jets at a time to be protected, this is also special fuel. You can also throw in 3.) This equipment(jets) break down. (Jets are needed for bombers to go in too). Once bases are taken out, all they need to do is swarm carriers with cheap drones and occasional missile, then... Israel would likely get wiped off the map. China and Russia are transporting missiles in by land and Caspian sea right now and they're probably killers. That's why nuclear equipped submarines are on standby in the Mediterranean right now.
